Negative experience: I never do these reviews but I felt I needed to so others steer clear of this business. If I could have given zero stars I would have. The online classes my child took were ok but most kids were asleep in their bed while on zoom. After the online classes were over I tried to schedule lessons for months and kept being told I would get an email when they opened. I only ever got one or two email lessons opened ( two options during school hours) from June until November. If you want to speak to a live person you never will be able to as they never answer the phone. I emailed asking about lessons again this week and was told they booked me a date and to confirm. I explained there was no date booked, asked them to confirm they had the right student, and asked three times for someone to call. The person refused to call and kept emailing back and fourth over fifteen times in a span of a few hours. I received no resolution until I stated I wanted a refund and requested a transfer. All of a sudden I received a phone call apologizing because she had the wrong student the entire time. The easiest part of this entire experience was getting my refund within a couple of days. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Negative experience: How are you going to be a drivers Ed if you can’t follow the rules of the road and drive safely around a cyclist? I am driving behind your vehicle right now and you did not accelerate in an appropriate manner to go around the cyclist that were next to us. You could have gotten them killed. When you did go around them, you then chose to slow down, causing an entire line of vehicles to end up over the median line, putting others at risk. You are currently going 20 mph under the speed limit while my spouse is driving.

Negative experience: I'm only giving one star because I have to give a star to leave a review. DO NOT USE THIS SCHOOL. It's horrible. I'm assuming the management was different 2 years ago because I never had problems with my first kid going through this school. Now that my 2nd child is using the school it has been awful. They marked her absent for a class she was fully present for the entire time and we had no idea until it came time for the final class test. No one would answer the phone, it took days and multiple emails to get a response. Then they made her retake the last class to take the test. The next available class was almost a month out. Now here we sit 40 minutes into the class and the zoom has yet to connect. It says waiting on host to start. Of course now the phone number doesn't work at all and you got it, no one will answer an email. We haven't even started the driving part. That has an actual human being so I'm hoping that goes smoothly. We will not be using this school for our next kid. BEWARE!!!

Negative experience: The only way of communicating is through email. They do not answer the phone. Instructors did not work with my son enough on what he needed to learn. I did speak to the owner about my concerns and didn’t feel like they put the customer first.

Positive experience: wasn’t a bad driving school and I believe they prepared me very well for my driver’s test as I passed on the first try. highly recommend booking a road test with them, it was very easy and they bring you on a practice run before you take it. overall, a pretty good experience that prepares you to be out on the road on your own

Negative experience: irresponsible. They come flying down neighborhoods where children are playing, way above the posted speed limit.

Negative experience: So the online learning. My daughter somehow logged on her Zoom Call with the improper credentials First then last name vs last then first. She was asked in Chatter to fix this and the only way to fix it was log out. She did this and then tried to log back in and they rejected her because she logged in too late. Mind you this is a Zoom call you can see people but some not so smart person could not figure that it was the same person that fell off. She now has to take this 2 hour class in a month and do lesson 2 and 3 now this is the worst place. I am really looking forward to working with these people for another 2 children and driving. Go somewhere else if you can. By the reviews on this site it is all you need to know.

Negative experience: We purchased hours with this place for our Nephew's required permit hours. He's had two lessons so far, during which: -He was instructed to hang back from an overgrown exit and blindly gun it out into traffic "because it's what you're supposed to do on the test". REALLY? -My nephew feels he has been talked down to in both lessons. Look, it's fine to say "you'll be required to do X for the test" which takes place in a parking lot in a a controlled environment. But do NOT jeopardize the student's life (and really, the instructor's) by forcing these unrealistic rules into situations that require modifications for the safety of the individuals when actually on the road. Lastly, I get that this is a stressful job. But if you can't do it without talking down to the students, being rude to them, or otherwise making them feel genuinely unhappy and unsafe from their interactions with the drivers, you shouldn't be in this job. This place is a hot mess and if places weren't so backlogged (we had to pre-purchase months in advance just to get these done in time) I'd reschedule anyplace else to complete his hours.

Eric L. Unfortunately, we can't address any issues if we are unaware and can't identify a student when you take to this forum.

For driving another student home, the MASS RMV requires that each student obtain 6 hours of observation of another student. This is how we satisfy the RMV requirement as well as offering full-service student pick up and drop off at their residence, school, or work.
Your quote: "And second to that, learn to manage your time - no student should be driving another student home. "

Lastly, are you aware that ALL our cars have GPS and IN-DASH cameras that face FORWARD and INSIDE the car with full audio. If you had an issue, we could have reviewed your concerns immediately. This is to make sure that all our students get the best lessons and our staff is doing a great job teaching.

Unfortunately, without any information at this point in this forum, we are unable to address your concerns. Please call the office at 774-203-3245 so we can assure your nephew has the best experience possible.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with driving lessons and getting license

Negative experience: So frustrating trying to schedule lessons and getting in touch with them. I wish I read these reviews before booking a block of lessons for my son. Communication is horrible. Terrible customer service!

Laurel Eades 3 years ago

Negative experience: Before you pay this company for your child’s driving hours and lessons, please read this first. This company has the worst communicators I’ve ever come in contact with. Even with this bad review I bet they’ll never react to this. It took me a whole year to finish my driving lessons because although the people said they’d put more up on the website, me and my mom never saw any so we’d call them, with 90% of the time, no response. Once I passed my road test and they signed off on my permit, they never update my status as passed the test and “has her license”. For this reason, I never got my license in the mail and it’s been 4 months. I’ve called them many times with no response and I just called them again stating my issue so we’ll see if they ever respond and if I ever even get my license. There are better companies out there. The staff here, besides the instructors themselves, are incredibly rude.

Teachers Driving Academy

Laurel, the MASS RMV is the one's doing the road test; NOT TDA. They issue the licenses and the reason you didn't get your license, even though you passed the test, was that you OWED the MASS RMV money; not TDA. We send a detailed email out to log into your MASS RMV profile to pay any MASS RMV fees so they issue the license. Unfortunately, the TDA does not test you nor do we issue the licenses. Emails in your profile indicate that you were asked to pay any RMV fees so you could have a license on test day. We are sorry for any communication error to indicate that you owed the RMV money and they didn't issue you your license in a timely manner.

Negative experience: We've been trying in vain to schedule driving lessons for the past month with no success. All the spots are already filled on the website. I've already paid in full for all the state-mandated lessons. I called with no answer even though I left a message. I've even e-mailed with no answer. This is so frustrating. I wish I knew all this before I paid them.

Teachers Driving Academy

Claire, we are glad we got the booking confusion straightened out and your teen obtained their license in a timely manner. Hope they are DRIVING SAFELY!

Fantastic experience: We are now two for two on first time test passing with TDA! They have quite a rigid system (fixed number of lessons, possibly this was due to COVID as I don’t remember it from first daughter, and under 18 only) but it works. Follow their plan and you have a good chance of passing first time. Saturday tests too!

Teachers Driving Academy

Gavin...Thanks for the kind words..We try our best to make things smooth with the RMV. Hope all the teens are driving safe.

Positive experience: I was a student here and I can say that they are good. Nice teachers and easy to understand. Classroom hours were kind of tedious however as most of it was just watching movies and then doing some papers and taking some small notes. It was abit boring and just did simple lessons. In car lessons were great, very kind and patient and always helpful! One lesson was abit weird however when one of the teachers started talking on the phone with a friend and started to talk about how the coca-cola company was putting aborted baby fetuses in their products...a bit weird when you are taking a lesson. Over all they are very kind and helpful with all questions.

Teachers Driving Academy

Skylar. Thanks for taking the time to say nice things..TOO often, no one ever posts a pleasant review when happy. They only post the angry ones. We train over 3,000 teens a year and the handful of reviews are from the disgruntled for whatever reason. Thanks again for the review.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience here! Had multiple family members use there services and not one failed test yet. The teachers set you up for success. As long as you do as your told. Continue to put the hours in outside of school, you will be more than happy with their experience and expertise!

Teachers Driving Academy

Brandon. Thanks so much for taking the time. NOT MANY ever leave a nice review as they are happy and we are the last thing on their mind as we serve over 3,000 teens a year. Thanks again.

Negative experience: They don’t stand up for their students. Family member was taking a test and failed for not stopping at a stop sign (which I saw her physically STOP at during both her practice test and the exam itself). She had stopped the exact same way during the practice test and the instructor said NOTHING about it, yet the sponsor stated that she had not stopped at the sign during her exam. (Again, I WATCHED her stop). You pay 100 to TDA for the exam and they set you up for failure? No thanks. Would never recommend TDA to anyone. Over priced for the services they render.

Teachers Driving Academy

We are sorry that Laudan Pouremad failed to stop at a stop sign. The RMV examiner is the one conducting the test; NOT TDA. The Registry examiner is the person who decides if Laudan gets a license. Unfortunately, not stopping at a stop sign will result in a failure every time. Truly wish you had contacted us should you had any questions about the RMV test rather than posting online negative comments for no reason. We wish him the best on her next RMV Road Test and please make sure to remind her to stop at the stop signs to avoid failure.
