Positive experience: Very scary

Positive experience: This is my first driving school at 21+ years old. The instructors are great. it's pretty easy to schedule drives, but the price is pretty high. A lot of the online coursework could have been put together a lot better rather than really short sections on a dozen different pages to make it seem longer than it is. But maybe it was intended that way? I don't know. Either way, I feel mostly ready for the road test, and I am very grateful for A-1. Edit: I got my license. I don't remember my instructors name, unfortunately, but if you see this. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The course work is easy, and understandable. Everyone complaining either sucks at driver or had no experience at all before driving with an instructor, instructor is very understanding and patient, but yes they do take the wheel when it is necessary. (Edit: got my license first try on the state road test)

Negative experience: We ended up having to hire a different driving school because my new driver didn’t learn what they needed to after completing the program. The online program seemed to emphasize the wrong aspects. It was focused on drunk driving, distracted driving, driving under the influence, etc, which is important. However, she seemed to know the exact statistics about accident rates instead of when to make a turn that you must yield for. A lot of the program was focused on the fear aspects, rather than repeating crucial elements of basic driving. The driving instructors took over the wheel and did the maneuvers for her and so she didn’t get to learn how to do them. We had one experience with a driver that came out of the car very stressed and talking about her own road rage, which intimidated and stressed out my teen. The stress reflected in her lesson. She would get frustrated easily and made my girl emotional and scared. The other driver seemed to just tell her that she was doing a good job when most of the drive consisted of driving straight and he handled the maneuvers for her. Overall, we just felt like the wrong elements were really honed in on and the important elements were glazed over. We know that online learning is difficult for some brains, we would have done in person if we could, however all the classes were months out, forcing her to learn on a computer. The driving instructors were unhelpful which led her to fail her driving test due to information she was never taught. During her last drive the instructor told her that she could pass the test, but that just wasn’t the truth.

Fantastic experience: Great experience the online course was easy to learn from and go through and my instructor Mark was amazing at teaching and made learning simple and stress free

Positive experience: I really loved the online part of the school. Very informative and it helped to pass a written test. I agree with all the other comments about scheduling the driving classes, it's impossible to get one unless you are online at 10 AM sharp, have a super stable Internet connection, and refresh the page EVERY SECOND, literally. All instructors are great, every one of them teaches differently, and that is OK, because when passing a road test and not doing maneuvers exactly as they require might result in failing it the first time. It is all subjective.

Negative experience: Would not recommend at all don’t waste your money and time here.

Negative experience: Good luck scheduling your required 6 hours of behind the wheel. This school is severely understaffed and not enough available trainers to keep up with the demand of their students. I have been trying for three months to get my son one 2 hour session.. we have a year to complete this!!? Update called school they were making excuses and they monitor what time you log in and use it against you. Tried again this morning and when I clicked on available drive it said it was scheduled by another driver.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had such a good experience being at the west jordan A1 driving school, all the instructors are so kind and very helpful especially Zeb he taught me a lot and is very detailed in corrections and over all made the drive enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: a1 driving school in west jordan was spectacular

Negative experience: Ridiculous price for a needing to log on once a week to hopefully get an opportunity to drive with an instructor. 3 weeks in and still haven't been able to be lucky enough. Start letting people schedule their time, this is not jury duty, we would like to plan for other things throughout our week. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Instead of getting mad at any mistake, he taught me how to properly maneuver and reply to situations on the road. If I had to relearn the basics again it’d definitely be with Zeb!

Positive experience: Convenient and easy to follow lessons you can do at your own speed. A little difficult to schedule driving times. Overall a good experience.

Very patient, encouraging and yet super vigilant on the road. He shared so many nuggets of wisdom about driving, which are otherwise not taught by anyone else. Thank you, Carl!

Negative experience: Awful scheduling system. It says you have an appointment, they claim it was the day before, then charge you more money

Fantastic experience: Over the years, three of my kids have completed this program. It is efficient and they learn excellent driving skills. They get superb experience by doing their driving hours in the real world and not just on a course at the school parking lot.

Positive experience: I started it with very less knowledge and experience of how to drive and they were so good and understanding. They are also good communicators, I really enjoyed working with them. I personally feel like they are professional.

Negative experience: I try to reach them but they didn’t answer my call because they give me Saturday for test but I just notice it say close , so I don’t know how can I reach them in the weekend and how they give me appointment in weekend and they close ?

Negative experience: Headache after headache after headache. Disorganized, complicated scheduling system. We had a good experience with our first driver. I don't think they have figured out how to do things in the COVID era. Too bad. We will never be back. We have 3 more drivers that we will take elsewhere.

Negative experience: This guy seriously just wants ur money. He literally talked the whole time during course saying I didnt head turn when i did he said i didnt see u then said i cant fo 23 in a 25 when it's dark as hell outside ... be literally is calling out every mistake as ur driving that makes no sense I been driving 15 years just texting to get legal n hes talking about the next course payment! Il juss wait on the DMV then someone who is highly unprofessional n sticks my money in his personal wallet Run away from this palce

Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 I would. We have been trying to get my son his license for months. He cant even get in to schedule driving. They keep taking peoples money and making the waiting list larger and larger. We still have not been able to get any driving time scheduled. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY. They are just essentially stealing your money.

Fantastic experience: Loved it!!! The people in the office were extremely accommodating, and I absolutely loved the instructor, Carl. My daughter would come home with so much confidence and he made parallel parking a breeze for her. He is an amazing instructor and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Negative experience: Used there program a few years ago. Didn't learn much, the driving instructor was not attentive and really didn't provide anything useful to your learning experience. Hopefully its gotten better.
