It was good to have classroom sessions to learn the rules of the road followed by observation hours and behind-the-wheel driving time with seasoned instructors. Our instructor was Kiran Haq. She is professional, courteous, responsive, timely and knowledgeable. By luck, we were assigned Kiran and we're grateful for her instructions and feedback. She takes the responsibility of developing safe drivers seriously and expresses good points and areas for improvement with kindness.

Ms. Haq's professionalism and strict yet effective teaching style impressed us from the start. Fantastic experience: Awesome experience having Mike Payton as my sons' driving teacher. Taught them techniques and markers that a lifetime driver would not even know how to verbalize or even think of. A perfect amount of tough to make the kids think about what they are doing so that they could easily pass the state driving test. A+++ highly recommended.

From our initial call with Scheduling (Samantha), to the classroom instructor (Mr Bodine), and the Driving instructor (Kiran Haq)- all were fantastic. Kiran really worked with our daughters to teach them everything there is to know not just for the Drivers Test but for skillful driving overall and I feel like our girls are very well-prepared to hit the road! Fantastic experience: Classes at the school were easy and flexible over the summer with my son's busy sports schedule. It worked much better for us than the school drivers ed course times. As a bonus Ms Kirin Haq was my son's behind the wheel instructor and was awesome. She was always willing to work with us to find a day that fit with our schedule, she was easy to reach via text and great at following up the day of drives to confirm pick up/drop off place and times. She made it a breeze. My son even had fun while learning behind the wheel with Kirin.

Fantastic experience: Excel Driving School was excellent. They helped with getting everything lined up for her permit. The in-class learning was easy to reschedule when a class was missed. The behind the wheel driving was great. Living in Bolingbrook, we did not have an option for picking up at home, but the instructor did drop her off at home a couple times. These classes could easily be scheduled online. My daughter had a great rapport with her behind the wheel instructor, Kareen.

Fantastic experience: 2 of my kids went to excel for drivers ed. Great staff that makes the entire process easy.

Negative experience: Beware, if you cancel the driving classes on same day or very close to your driving class , you need to pay the fine of $70 and then reschedule other classes. Which i thought is really expensive. I ended up paying 140 more. you know how teenagers are!!! On some driving classes days , the instructor used to finish off the driving within 45min for a 1 hr class.

Negative experience: My daughter missed Drivers ED due to Covid. In-building class, in Naperville, experience was excellent. 5-Stars. Driving part total B.S. Very poor communication! Couldn't get a hold of the instructor. Took months to schedule the driving hours! Then we had to reschedule 1 class. Extra $75.00! Okay, lets finish this. Now they claim we missed a 2nd class we were never informed of. The only reason we paid the extra $75 was the instructor "showed up" on her "Day off" for the final hour. Driving Students Beware!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my last 3 kids go to the Wesrwrn Springs Excel driving school. All have been good experiences - I especially like Mr Bill and Gus !! And James was very patient as well!

The Behind The Wheel portion of the program helped my son with his confidence behind the wheel and Chris Mahoney was extremely good. I have nothing bad to say and I definitely feel like a new and improved driver after our lessons! Not only that but it’s so fun in the car with her because the environment is so friendly! Definitely recommend picking her as your instructor, you won’t regret!
