Fantastic experience: I really needed my license before going back to college and these people were the most patient I could ask for. In just 3 days I took 6 hours of behind the wheel practice and on the 4th day I took my road test and passed! Arnold was the most patient instructor I could ask for.

Fantastic experience: The driving instructor i had was Arnold he was super patient and made everything clear for me. I had really bad anxiety with driving and after 3 classes i was ready to get my drivers license.

Fantastic experience: I waited last minute to get my driving before I went to college and Ruiz Driving school was the only one with openings, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to learn in time and I really needed this license to go to classes. Arnold and Sergio however were LIFESAVERS and were able be patient and help me learn. With just a week of lessons I took the test and passed with flying colors, and bought my first car shortly after. Thank you Arnold and Sergio!!!!!

Fantastic experience: If you’re on the fence about enrolling in driving lessons at Ruiz Driving this is your sign to DO IT! Taking driving lessons here was the best thing I have ever done. The entire staff from the ladies at the front desk to the instructors, are professional and treat everyone with patience and kindness. I used to think the reviews were too good to be true but trust me, they are 100% real! I took classes with Arnold and Sergio and they were both great, patient and knowledgeable instructors with different teaching styles. If you want instruction where you’re constantly being pushed to learn more and do perfect you might want to choose Arnold who is more extroverted. If you’re someone who still likes direct instruction but are okay with being more hands on yourself Sergio, who is more introverted, is your guy! They’re both great in their own ways though I had never driven in MY LIFE and got my permit and license in about 2 months after taking a class about every weekend. I noticed HUGE results after the first class and was motivated to keep going. The instructors focus on making you a confident and safe driver which is key to passing the test. I used to think I was never going to learn how to drive but I never once felt nervous or anxious during a class, I really can’t thank them enough

Fantastic experience: I am 37 years old and had never had a driver's license until 11/22/2024. It had been 12 years of trying and trauma, but I finally did it! It was all thanks to Arnold! I hadn't been behind the wheel for 8 years. On day 1, it only took about 10 minutes of driving to get comfortable and lose my nervousness - thanks to his calm nature and reassurance. I loved that he had multiple ways of teaching, and drawing things out helped me best - especially with right and left turns. Every single tip he gave helped me to perfect my driving skills and become a more safe and defensive driver. I learned a ton of things that first day, and he was always so encouraging and congratulatory. This boosted my confidence more and more. Day 2, we just perfected everything he taught in day 1 and added in a quick parallel parking lesson. When we got back to the school, he said I just needed one more lesson. I was pumped! Day 3, he took me on the expressway and taught me how to merge in and switch lanes and keep my speed. He taught me safe distancing, and everything went well! We practiced more of the other things i learned, and we went back to the school. He then told me that I'm 2 days, I would be getting my license! I had no fear. He really made me a confident driver. I passed my test and got my license. Today, I already got the road all by myself. Thank you, Arnold, for all of your help! My husband is in complete disbelief. He was so scared for me to take the car today, but he was so proud when I got back!

Fantastic experience: I had pretty debilitating driving anxiety when I was a teenager which caused me to have a huge fear of driving that followed me into my early college years. Since I live in Chicago, I relied heavily on public transportation to get around the city but that quickly got exhausting when it was wintertime and I moved farther from downtown. I decided to get past my fear this year at 23 years old and enrolled in this driving school hoping to get my license by the end of the year. The school does offer services to get your permit through them but I decided to study for the road test and go on my own to forgo the $150 cost. After you receive your permit, you are free to sign up for classes (they offer appointments on weekends and as early as 6AM) that are 2 hours long and cost $100 per class. I enrolled in 3 classes with Sergio. Unlike the previous instructors that I had who yelled at me or did not trust me to drive their car, Sergio was very patient and professional in teaching me how to drive and preparing me for the road exam. He made sure to explain things step-by-step (ie. 3-point turns, parallel parking, ensuring you are not going too close to the curb) and gave you constant feedback on how you were driving. I found these classes to be especially helpful because they were 2 hours long (as opposed to 30 minutes of Driver's ED or 40 minutes of driving with a relative) so it really makes you practice your driving skills. I am happy to announce that I just got my license today after many years of my anxiety limiting me! It wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Ruiz Driving School!

No es un problema no saber inglés, ya que tienen un método que funciona para todos. Gracias a ellos, aprobé tanto el examen teórico como el práctico sin dificultad. En mi examen práctico tuve la suerte de tener a Arnold como instructor, quien tiene más de 20 años de experiencia. Es un conductor extraordinario y su enseñanza es insuperable. El día de mi examen, no solo obtuve mi licencia, ¡sino que no me quitaron ningún punto! Incluso me felicitaron por lo bien que conduje. Sin duda, fue una de las mejores inversiones que he hecho para convertirme en una buena conductora. No le doy 5 estrellas, ¡sino 10!

His support and patience truly made all the difference for me considering I was an anxious person. Jorge had a wonderful way of making you feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel — always encouraging, no matter how nervous or unsure I might feel. Fantastic experience: In December, I had Arnold as my driver instructor he always successfully helped me to improve on what I need to successfully perfect throughout my driving experience. On February 28, I came back to Ruiz Driving School and took me a 4 hour driving class with my driving instructor Arnold and he successfully saw the effort and improvement throughout my 4 hours of driving with him on February 28. On March 1, I went ahead and scheduled me an appointment at Midlothian DMV and took my road test and I passed on my very first try and successfully got my driver license. I successfully want to thank my amazing driver instructor Arnold for all his helped and I also want to say thank you to Ruiz Driving school and once again my amazing driver instructor who took quality time to teach me all the valuable steps and lessons about driving safety and what I needed to do successfully with driving of course on the road and always checking my surroundings.
