Fantastic experience: Our two children went through Overbeke School of Driving. Both experiences were fantastic. The instructor, Ron Collier was great with our second child. I do recommend both the school and the instructor!

Negative experience: I would not recommend this business. It takes them forever to return your call, email or text (they also provide inconsistent information depending on who you talk to or their mood). Other local driving schools have business hours and actually answer their phones. This one will leave you hanging. They are also not transparent about test results: we were told my kid passed but they never issued a certificate (very shady). Unfortunately, I paid upfront for the class and in-cars service, and after speaking with Ari on the phone, he reassured me that if I reenrolled, the in-cars payment would be honored. Well, it wasn't! Imagine my surprise that I'm asked to pay another $300+ dollars after my kid completed their online modules (really poor as well!) with plenty of spare time in the 6 month allotment. Try 1st Choice Authorized Driving School instead and save yourself the headache.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed our experience with Overbeke Driving school. Our daughter went to the in person drivers ed classes but also had an option to attend them online if she couldn’t make them in person. This was a nice option to have. The teacher taught them at the same time while the classes were being streamed on zoom. Our daughter passed the class exam the first time and we scheduled her in cars. She really liked having John Jones as her instructor. He was wonderful! He was patient and knowledgeable and really helped our daughter learn how to drive. I was able to communicate via text to ask questions and schedule in cars with Overbeke. Our daughter is scheduled to take the drivers test soon and I feel that Overbeke did a good job preparing her. Thanks!

Negative experience: It was not great experience with Overbeke driving school. Instructor got out of the car and on phone while my daughter was practicing on her own on the day one. Also some instructions given by overbeke contradicted in actual drive test.

Positive experience: Navigating the Driver's Education portion of teen driver's licensing involves a lot of tedious bureaucracy, but Overbeke was good about answering questions and doing scheduling. Communicating by texting seemed to bring the quickest replies and action. The beind the wheel experiences were valuable and they always arrived promptly. I would recommend Overbeke

Negative experience: I paid in advance for lessons but was never able to get scheduled to finish taking the driving lessons because I had to pause after my father passed away. When I told the owner she told me to take my time with coming back. Once I felt ready to take the classes she didn't let me schedule and said I signed a no refund contract. I don't think that is fair and shouldn't even be legal because I paid for classes that now I can't take for no reason. *Update* Once I put up a negative review, this issue was resolved and I was able to schedule the last in-car driving lesson.

Fantastic experience: Both of my kids have received their Behind-the-Wheel instruction with Overbeke and we have had a great experience both times. This was my first child in driving school so I wasn't really sure of all the steps, but Ari answered all my questions via FB messenger and worked to get my daughter into her in-car sessions immediately which was so appreciated. Fantastic experience: Overbeke has my highest recommendation. The process for registering was easy and the owner corresponded with me directly via text. It was so helpful to get the sessions scheduled up front! We used another school for my older son and it was not a smooth process. It took a long time to get through — we were told we had to check daily and by the hour to schedule!! My son’s driving instructor Tyler Phelps was beyond great. They immediately established a rapport and he instilled a high degree of confidence in my son’s driving abilities. I noticed a difference when driving with him after his first session. He gave my son a lot of good advice on how to be a good driver along with tips for the test. My son feels that he is more than ready for his upcoming test. Trust me after having two vastly different experiences - Overbeke is definitely the way to go!

We used a different school for our first 2 kids and it was a struggle just to get sessions scheduled. Ariana had all 4 sessions scheduled upfront on days that didn't interfere with school or his busy extracurricular schedule. Mr. Ferris, his behind the wheel instructor, was thorough and professional. Fantastic experience: Mr. Adams really helped go over how to take the test and good strategies for taking it. Overall we drove on a variety of different roads with different speeds and climates. His maneuverability tricks really helped me grasp the concept of it as a whole.

Fantastic experience: Peter, the driving instructor, was a total sweetheart!! Ari & Arianna, the owners, were amazing. They text back immediately. They answer the phone, unlike the other driving schools. They sent my daughter’s certificate via text and email within an hour of her last lesson. The other school said they had to mail it. Best part is they are not scheduled months in advance like everyone else. They were able to schedule a lesson within a couple of weeks. Best experience with any company I have had in several years. So grateful

Negative experience: Go to Heights Driving School instead: a human being answers the phone & returns calls. Just take a look at Overbeke’s website and it speaks for itself — so disorganized & confusing: the first class EACH month is titled: “ Lesson 1 Final test 5-6:30pm” Even though the class is actually 6:00-8:30 & its the Final test for the prior class! I told them about this, and they didn’t seem to understand what the problem is?? I’m just supposed to sign up for a class that says final test that makes sense! It’s consistent with the rest of their website & business model: redundant, misleading & confusing throughout. Their office hours are stated as 8-6:00 Ha! But no one ever answers their phone & it takes days to just get a TEXT answer. Website doesn’t tell you if Zoom class is also in person (it is). On their website it lists their “Behind-the-wheel only class” for $380 as “in classroom” even though the title would have u believe that it’s in a car, but it isn’t. - can’t tell what is what…just crazy. My son messed around on the website for an hour to get some info on classes & times & in frustration, gave up. Somebody in grade school must have written this. He had me register even tho i insisted i already had an account, but he said no account with my name existed. So I went thru all the steps to re-register only for it to give me an error message that this email is an existing account! . I called him back to find that. Oh yes, I was on some other list or schedule even though that’s what I kept telling him! So I ultimately registered, hoping that the class is an instruction would be far better than their website. I listened to one of my son’s online classes and was not impressed. The teacher spoke very quickly, and frequently referred to a picture or answered a question from a student in the class without taking into account people are listening that cannot hear the question and cannot see the picture! awful just awful! Almost all of the class was spent with the instructor asking random test questions. There was no info, lecture or discussion time. Also per my son there was no basic car maintenance information provided such as changing a tire, charging a battery, or replacing air filter, wiper fluid, etc. These basic things were reviewed for my son just six years ago when Overbeke was under different ownership. They are the biggest because of their prior reputation, but that was due to prior management & they have not kept up the standards of the previous owner. There are better options: Go to Safe Pass or Heights Driving. Parents and friends have repeatedly said they had great experience with these companies.

Fantastic experience: Both of my daughters took their driving lessons here and we were so pleased with the ease of scheduling, the quality of lessons and just the overall school! We would highly recommend Overbeke to anyone!
