5 Star Driving Academy, LLC is more than just a driving school; it is a legacy of commitment and care for road safety. Founded by Jenny and Allen Dailey, who together bring over 55 years of public service and education experience, this academy has trained more than 1300 families in the Sumter community and beyond.

Focusing on educating responsible drivers, Jenny, a former sheriff's sergeant trained as an instructor, and Allen, an adjunct criminology professor and retired law enforcement major, share their knowledge and experience to prepare new drivers for the realities of the road. Their dedication to teaching aims to prevent accidents and save lives.

To ensure the best learning experience, 5 Star Driving Academy utilizes modern and safe vehicles, such as the Hyundai Veloster and Honda Civic Hatchback, both boasting outstanding safety ratings. Classes are taught with a strong emphasis on defensive driving and road responsibility.

Unfortunately, as part of their personal growth, Jenny and Allen have decided to retire and will be closing the academy on December 31, 2023. They deeply thank the community and all the families they have had the pleasure of meeting and serving.

Positive experience: My son did the course with them; this is a great place to go. They were very professional in every aspect of the course from beginning to end. I did train my son previously and get his beginner’s permit, so he came to the academy for a certification merely.

Fantastic experience: I just graduated from their driving school today, I was encouraged and supported throughout all my drives and learned a lot! My parents and I were very glad we chose these people. Mrs. Jenny and Mr. Allen always came on time to pick me up I felt safe and trusted in their care. :) I highly recommend!
