Negative experience: Driving Instructor Russel is decent at teaching basic and some advanced driving maneuvers. Couple things that need to be addressed as follows: Followed on driving test per exact verbal instructions to drive to the middle of an intersection to yield for the left turn on a flashing yellow arrow - resulted in an automatic failure. Have front turning wheels to make contact with sidewalk when parking in an uphill or downhill slope - resulted in automatic failure. I'd say good recommendation to start learning how to drive but please follow the exact instructions in the DMV handbook when taking the test.

Fantastic experience: I had already been driving in a different country and was really nervous about taking the practical. I got their Behind-the-Wheel program and got the experience and practice before I took the exam. They're office is very efficient and their instructors are very calm and knowledgeable. Though I was nervous that I was taking an exam, I was rather confident in driving since Patrick was able to teach me all the possible routes. I highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this company to anybody !!! Patrick is a good instructor, he helps you in a way that you would remember and his techniques are easy to do !!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing !! If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would, my instructor Patrick was so patient and friendly, I only took 2 lessons with him and I finally got my license, thank you so much Patrick !!!!!!

Fantastic experience: A-1 is the only driving school I would ever recommend! Courteous, professional staff. Great for your new teen driver and people that need to brush up on their driving skills!

Fantastic experience: New drivers, old drivers, anyone needing to brush up on their road skills should know about A1 Driving School in Desert Shores. They are professional and dedicated to safety on our roads. Thank you for taking a young scared newby and turning him into a safe and confident driver in our city. I would recommend them highly!
