Fantastic experience: Here for Mustang Unleashed
Fantastic experience: Ford Mustang Unleashed experience. Track time, road course, balloon car and accident avoidance maneuvers.
Fantastic experience: Dark Horse Track Attack — Absolutely Unforgettable! Attending the Ford Performance Racing School’s Dark Horse Track Attack was an incredible experience from start to finish. Taylor made registration effortless, keeping us informed on what to expect and building excitement in the weeks leading up to the event. That communication alone set the tone for how well-organized and professional the entire program was. The welcome dinner at the Speedway Club felt more like a celebration than a class orientation — great food, amazing views, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The next day on track was even better. The instructors were world-class — patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about helping everyone get the most out of the Mustang Dark Horse. Every session was thrilling, safe, and confidence-building. The facilities, cars, and staff were all top-notch, and the whole event ran flawlessly. If you own a Dark Horse or just love performance driving, this is an absolute must-do. You’ll leave a better driver with an even bigger smile.
Negative experience: WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. The Dark Horse Track Attack by FPRS feel short in teaching us about our car unlike their other vehicle programs. It’s only there to go fast around the Charlotte Motor Speedway and doesn’t show what the car is really capable of in all the various modes. I got it, the DH is meant to go fast, but how about going through all the other things it can do. I’ve been through other FPRS programs and they go over all of what the vehicle can do, not just how fast it is on the track. How about discussing/demonstrating the various safety features, the other drive modes, the active/passive lane/traffic functions. These are things that the majority of the DH owners will experience on a daily drive versus their time on a track (for me that would be never). I say this objectively since this is our 8th Mustang and 3rd Ford Performance vehicle. The DH program needs to be relooked and tailored to an all encompassing program. Additionally, there are several “additional” fees involved. My spouse is on the title and registration but to participate, I had to pay $200 for her to come “hang out” and she really did not really get anything of value out of this experience. If I paid $2k, she could have driven another DH which really is just plain unfair. There’s also a fee for lodging, meals, and amenities, that were covered by the other programs like the ST Experience. From my perspective, this program needs to be relooked and revamped. Just be cause we bought a performance vehicle from Ford doesn’t mean we should have to pay extra to learn what it can do. We were disheartened with this experience. #performancedriving #fordperformance #darkhorsetrackattack #darkhorse #brembo #castroledge #recaroautomotive #stonercarcare
Fantastic experience: A friend and I drove from Michigan to NC to attend the Mustang Unleashed program. This is led by an outstanding group of drivers, instructors and staff who guided us in driving activities on the track and an Auto-X course. It was a fantastic day of fun and learning, and I highly recommend it if you have the opportunity to join.
