Welcome to Lake Murray Driving Academy, where learning to drive becomes a safe and enriching experience! Located in Chapin, SC, we offer conveniently scheduled driving classes tailored to fit your busy lifestyle. Our certified instructors, many of whom have extensive backgrounds as police officers, pick up students from home or school and return them safely.

Our Driver's Training Program is designed to teach teens essential driving skills such as parallel parking, backing up at least 100 feet, performing three-point turns, and preparing for the driver's license exam. The program includes 8 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training, and it's designed to be completed within a year.

Additionally, we provide the option to schedule your driving test with us, creating a less stressful environment as students will already have experience with the instructor and the vehicle. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality education in an atmosphere that promotes respect and patience, all supported by our mission to positively influence every student.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Lake Murray Driving Academy. Very easy to schedule in person class. Prompt responses, professional and personable staff for teens! After the initial class my son was given three pre-scheduled driving sessions. One of the lessons did not work with our schedule and I was easily able to reschedule the training. Mr Byrd responds immediately and is very accommodating to the student’s schedule and parent’s work schedule. Highly recommend taking the driving test with Mr Byrd as well. My son felt very at ease and comfortable asking questions. Five star training!

Fantastic experience: My son went through Lake Murray Driving School for his road test. My son felt at ease during the test and Mr Sammy was very accommodating with scheduling.

Fantastic experience: The Academy was very professional and taught my son the importance of driver safety skills. He also was able to take his driver license road test with them also which was a great help! Highly recommend!
