Fantastic experience: I was devastated and grappling with the reality that I would lose the independence I had in driving myself anywhere. However, I discovered that I could drive with my hands, although it was initially scary. Community Independence Solution, PLLC and Joe made it manageable and even enjoyable. Joe is patient, focused on the best outcomes for his clients, and helped make learning hand controls feel clear and not overwhelming. The instruction was an incredible experience, even better than learning from a family member! I highly recommend Community Independance for all your unique driving needs!

Fantastic experience: As Mr.Joe’s star pupil it was a privilege to work and train beside him. As a person with Cerebral Palsy, it has been hard to maneuver a car and feel safe, especially after a couple of car accidents. However, after extensive training by a wonderful teacher, I am much more of a confident drive, especially with my left foot accelerator and wheel knob. Thank you again for the opportunity to be trained by such a wonderful professional ( I even passed the DPS test with a 94)!!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough about Joe. Nothing but praises for his willingness, patience, expertise, professionalism and courage to help the disabled gain their independence back by teaching us how to re-learn to drive or in some cases drive for the first time. After l suffered a stroke in 2022, l have substantial right side weakness and lack of coordination with my arm, hand, leg and foot. In December of 2024, I started searching the internet for driving lessons for the disabled and came across CIS and it was exactly what I was looking for! I called and the receptionist(Rae) was very nice and helpful. She explained everything in detail and the rest is history. I took 26 hours of behind the wheel training in 2 hour increments using a left foot accelerator and ball on steering wheel. Joe definitely trained me harder than the DPS test actually was. He made sure that l was ready and I passed the test on 6/12/25 with flying colors. JOE FRANCIS, YOU ARE TRULY A GOD-SENT BLESSING AND I CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH YOU ROCK!
