Fantastic experience: I’m an adult driver with a foreign license and went to FGL for my 8-hour road safety class, a driving “refresher” class and my road test. Everything went very smoothly, great communication and great instruction. The road test with a DMV agent took 15 minutes, tops, and we took a route I was familiar with due to my driving class. I highly recommend FGL if you are looking to obtain an American license!

Fantastic experience: A MUST. Cannot recommend enough. My suggestion is to do the 30 hour course. They teach you exactly what you need to know for the road test- including back in, K turn, etc. Taking the road test at FGL is a breeze. You take it in the Green Light car and the route is much easier than at the DMV.

Negative experience: A horrendous experience. Lack of communication. I had an appointment at 10am and did not take my test until 12:45. Had to miss my school classes. They never have an exact time for their appointments and are extremely unreliable. There were other parents and kids waiting for over 3 hours to take their road test and everything was disorganized and nobody new the whereabouts of the supposed instructors that were going to come. Very disappointed because I had only heard great things about this facility.

I'm sorry for your experience today Daniela - as you know, the appointment you're referring to is your daughter's DMV Road Test, which is conducted by CT DMV Agents at our facility - our instructors are not involved in testing of students. Like many organizations these days, the CT DMV is experiencing ongoing issues due to COVID and they had a staffing issue today that arose this morning.

As soon as we heard about the issue from the DMV, our office called and emailed everyone who was testing today to let them know there would be a delay and that we didn't know how long it would be - especially since today was a school day and students were already missing school to take their driving test at Fresh Green Light.

To their credit, the DMV immediately sent 2 testing agents from Wethersfield to conduct the test today to try and make up for the delay and yes, they did arrive two hours later than the scheduled start time which pushed all the appointments back a few hours.

While you may not have liked the outcome today, I would have to say our team did everything in their power to make the best of this unexpected situation caused by the CT DMV. The vast majority of parents and students today were very understanding and appreciative of how our team handled everything under these circumstances.
