Fresh Green Light Driving School

Negative experience: The classes are done over zoom and are a complete waste of time and money. The instructors spend the first 15-20 minutes talking about not being late. Then they take a 20 minute break, and then they dimiss class early. Little to no value.

Fantastic experience: Great experience!! Had trouble with parking at first but was already a lot better after the first lesson! My instructor was William Valenton. He is a great teacher and helped a lot especially with parking and highway driving. He is nice and good with students! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I had two kids take driving lessons Fresh Green Light. The staff, facility and instructors were all very knowledgable and patient. William Valenton was especially kind, helpful and supportive. He went out of his way to make sure the kids were prepared for their test, was very accommodating with appointments and even texted the kids personally congratulating them after they passed their road tests. Thank you William and Fresh Green Light.

Fantastic experience: They were very professional, kind and patient. I had the opportunity to work with Amy and she was awesome. Definitely the best driving instructor I have ever had. She was calm and patient and made me feel very comfortable. She offered great feedback/tips. I wish I would have done all the lessons with her.

Positive experience: Overall, amazing drivers ed! Helpful instructors, and fun (as they can be, it is still drivers ed) classes. However, it took a lot of time to get a drivers test with them, and the in-car lessons were pretty filled up.

Fantastic experience: My son had a top notch experience with Fresh Green Light. I feel comfortable with him now being out on the road and am confident that Fresh Green Light gave him the tools he needs to be a safe driver. Ivy, Priscilla and Kate were always so helpful and positive when I called with questions or needed help. We will absolutely use Fresh Green Light again when my daughter turns 16 and is ready to learn to drive.

My daughter had a very positive experience with this location and when we got close to her driving test date, they called to make sure we got in all her driving classes in time! Can’t thank everyone enough for all their help and support to make this such a great experience for our family. We will definitely use them again when my son is 16!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about Fresh Green Light. They put my daughter at ease as a very anxious new driver. It is costly, but it is so valuable in all they provide. They are exceptionally professional - always coming early, always receptive on the phone, always filled with information and worthy advice, and always detail-oriented with feedback for the students. The students learn so much so easily and are fully prepared for their road tests. It is worth every penny. If I could give it more stars I would.

Fantastic experience: Well worth the time and cost. The classes are well run and comprehensive. Driving instructors put the new drivers at ease and prepare them well for the road. Nice that pickup and drop off for driving classes can be at home or school. The office staff are responsive and helpful. You can tell they enjoy their work which is very nice to see. Highly recommend the program. We signed up for 30 hours of classes but later found out the extra classes beyond the core 8 wouldn’t lower our insurance cost. So, while they are a great education, if your child can’t fit all classes in within 4 months of getting the permit, the 8-hour program may suffice.

Fantastic experience: FGL is a great program. Two of my kids went through the classes and driving and loved the teachers and drivers. Everyone is so helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: My daughter used the Fresh Green Light driving program in preparation to getting her CT driver's license and it was incredibly helpful. The classroom sessions were relevant and interesting and the driving sessions were particularly helpful. In addition the program has flexible scheduling to accommodate busy schedules such as summer jobs or school coursework.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the entire FGL staff for being so helpful in scheduling driving lessons and answering our many questions. What we liked best about FGL was being able to take classes at different locations based on what worked with our personal schedule - ideal for busy students and parents!

Fantastic experience: All 3 of my children have successfully been through the Fresh Green Light program. All enjoyed attending the classes which are so important since kids will listen to the experts but not their parents! The warm chocolate chip cookies during breaks were also a big hit plus the fact that they always seemed to know a few kids in each class. The website was very easy for my pre-drivers to navigate so that they could plan their own class schedules around their after school activities. As a parent, I loved the feedback I got immediately after each driving lesson so that I knew what skills to focus more attention on when my kids were driving with me. Lastly, we had several times when we had to shuffle our lesson & driving schedule due to the ever-changing sports schedules, and the FGL team was always happy to help us adjust our class dates so we didn't have to push back our road test date. I was very pleased with the entire program.

Fantastic experience: This is a great course. Well structured, great information and they make it easy for your teen to get to class and learn what she needs to know. My daughter learned to drive--and passed her test on the first try!!!-- and I learned a few things too; there have been many changes in driving laws. Between the teen classes and parent class, where I became a more aware driver, my daughter gained the skills and knowledge that made us both feel more confident about her being on the road alone. Thank you!

Alll of the intructors were patient and kind and made a great effort to make every student feel comfortable and informed on the road and in the classroom. Fantastic experience: Fresh Green Light was an excellent driving school for my son. They were very flexible in scheduling and rescheduling classes, provided very strong on-road experiences and were very organized and helpful in the overall licensing process. My son feels very comfortable behind the wheel and I feel like he is ready to drive on his own. I would use them again for my other 3 children.
