Fantastic experience: I signed my 18 yr old daughter up for lessons with Real Mckoy after she had failed the road test a couple of time with a different driving school. Andrew is very professional, punctual, and communicates extremely well. He knew how to correct the mistakes my daughter was making. He also knows the little things the DMV testers are looking for and worked on those things with her. In just a few lessons he was confident that my daughter would do well on her next attempt. And I am relieved to say my daughter passed with flying colors. Thank you Andrew!

Negative experience: This guy was in front of me with a student in the car. After sitting at a stop sign with no traffic, I gave him a quick honk to make his turn. He gave me the finger in return. A moment later I was behind him at a light. The light turned green, then yellow, then red. Then he turned left: at a red light. I wouldn’t want my kid in the car with him, or even taught by him.

Negative experience: Receptionist was rude, unprofessional and hung up on me when I was asking a question.

Dear Hard Working People of the area,
This area resident emailed and called 2x for a course that was never advertised on the website.

In Our mandatory 5 hour pre-licensing course now on zoom detailed instructions are given to students concerning do’s and dont’s of the School bus. For more info on School bus safety check the NY state driver Manuel online

School has just started. Please be sure to take heed to school bus warnings. Those are the most important. Remember the kids! See the big yellow school bus which indicates that it will stop by flashing yellow lights which are then followed by flashing red-lights. Once the flashing red lights are on driver must stop 50ft behind school bus and drivers going opposite direction must stop too. If someone successfully makes school bus infraction it will be 5 points on the drivers license. 5 points are a lot at one time for a limit of 11pts only. If it was my decision a person that makes a school bus infraction would get license revoked. Driver must be alert at all times. 6 points would require paying DMV Assessment fee for the next 3 years. If not paid license is automatically suspended. If school bus infraction is made 3x during the course of a year driver’s license may be suspended or revoked. But who would run a school bus stop sign 3x during the course of a year? Any points on license raises insurance or insurance company may just drop you.
The 6 hour point reduction program can be taken to lower insurance. The course is for CDL licensed drivers or for adults who make frequent/big mistakes on the road. Moreover the point reduction course benefits/rewards the not diligent adult only not the driving school.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this driving school! The classes are focused on passing the driving test but go beyond that. Andrew is an experienced and very encouraging and supportive instructor. He was very flexible and patient. I got 10 lessons package and passed my test on the first try.
