Fantastic experience: Mr. Robert Bersche is an amazing and kind instructor who helped me learn how to drive safely and with confidence!! Great experience.

Negative experience: I had a very positive experience initially, but came across a very frustrating experience recently. My son‘s driving lesson was scheduled and he was hardly three minutes late. The policy says he should be there within 10 minutes of the schedule time. The instructor was not in the office and we were waiting in the car. He walked around 10 minutes later and told us we are late!!! He asked the neighboring business about the time we came And that person did say you are on time. He went on to mock my son that his clock did not work Correctly. He gave the toll-free number to reschedule the class and there are no classes for next one month. The customer support doesn’t Work during the time the lesson is scheduled and it is impossible to reach customer support. Top driver should not have such unethical instructors who lie and mock at students. Update 13.Mar.2025: There was no fee taken out. I am yet to get any call from your regional office though I was told someone will call me within 5 days. My son got a reschedule last weekend . But no one called me yet to answer on the impolite behavior and about the poor customer support service.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE! Worst customer service experience in my life. For context, I only wanted to do Behind the Wheel since that is the only portion I needed (I completed the Classroom portion beforehand at my high school). I paid $500, was there for about 4-5 days, everyday I was asking the supervisor how I can only do the Behind the Wheel portion and not the Classroom one. They kept stalling me the entire time, only telling me that they needed to ask the Oswego location manager. How does the Oswego location manager have anything to do with this? Then, on the last day I was there, they told me to just contact customer service. Couldn't they have just told me that the first day I was there? Yes of course, but they needed to stall me for more days so they wouldn't have to refund. After I called customer service, they said they wouldn't refund at all. I didn't even learn anything new in those 4-5 days, it was all common sense (ex: don't drink and drive). They scammed me of $500 and refused to refund. Also, the overall class is terrible, the supervisor just sits there most of the class period and they play outdated videos from like 2008 for 2/3 of the time. Also the room is extremely freezing cold, it's so cramped to the point nobody has personal space, and the bathroom is dirty. It's overpriced, staff are lazy or rude or will stall you, customer service is horrible, and the actual education is not worth the money. Additionally, when I emailed customer service about only doing Behind the Wheel, they asked me to show proof that I passed the Classroom portion at school. I gave them proof, I showed them multiple screenshots of my grade to show I passed. Then they asked for proof of the final grade passing, I sent a screenshot of that too. They didn't believe me, saying it is not "valid proof" (literal screenshots from StudentVUE...) and made me email my teacher to get a teacher's note stating I passed. Then I had to go back and forth emailing my teacher to get the note and etc. Also throughout this entire endeavor they were being rude and I did not feel welcome at all. Honestly just go to any other location or company like Excel Driving School or the Naperville location for Top Driver because this one is terrible.

Fantastic experience: I was a student there and every single instructor was so kind and nice. They all taught me very valuable moves. 5 out of 5 just for the instructor's.

Negative experience: When taking the course I brought in requested information to their location and they failed to communicate that the location would not provide it to the proper channels and that I would need to email there customer service directly in order to get the certificate of completion

Fantastic experience: Top driver is an incredible driving school and I had an amazing experience there! The instructors were so kind and helpful (specifically Mr. Davis & Mr.Warwick)! Many tips and advice were given so that new drivers knew exactly how to preform a maneuver safely and accurately! They were all very helpful and patient and I feel very prepared to take my drivers test and get out in the road!

Fantastic experience: As a student at this facility, I will say my experience has been incredibly positive. In-classroom lessons were clear and engaging. In-car driving lessons were smooth and insightful feedback was given, so I could enhance my practice with my parents. When scheduling my sixth drive, all of the dates were booked for driving and observing across all locations, including this one. I had called customer service, but they said nothing could be done. So, I contacted Mr. Davis at the Aurora Top Driver location to see if any space could be made, and we scheduled my last lesson that very same week. I am so grateful for his interactive teaching style in the classroom and his dependability in such tough situations.

Fantastic experience: It’s a very good experience, although there are some reason why I may think that it’s not the best, but the driving and observation lessons were good.

Negative experience: Top driver is the worst driving school ever. They do not have any appointment for doing the driving lessons. Its been months since my child has completed class room training and I worry she might even default on the time to complete driving lessons. I have called them numerous times and each time they give some new time to call for booking appointment. When I asked what is their obligation to provide the lessons, as they have already collected the money, they asked what do you mean we are obligated. I have used other providers in the area and never had such issues. Never go with Top Driver.

Negative experience: The worst driving school ever. they do not have enough staff to be able to accommodate driving lessons, but accept students gladly. Why you accept students if you don't have enough instructors? The schedule never has open spots to schedule driving. The customer service told me it is my fault to fail to schedule classes. Excuse me? I needed to drive an hour today to get to the driving lesson. I do not recommend this school, avoid it by all cost. There are plenty of more professional schools.

Fantastic experience: I signed up with Top Driver (Aurora) in April of this year and I just passed my test with them today. They’ve taught me how to be a safe driver and Robert Bertsche is a great instructor. Thank you!

Positive experience: I will first like to say that the initial process of signing up your student for classes is very efficient. The facility is in a great location and easily located. The biggest negative is the driving portion. The schedule only comes out once a month. This means you have hundreds of students trying to sign up for only a handful of slots. There just simply is not enough staff. There are also several days out of the month that are blocked off completely. This part has been such a mess. This really makes me wish that I just signed my student up through the school.

Fantastic experience: Incredibly helpful when we needed an extension during covid with some btw sessions. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: I haven't personally used them but I just saw one of the instructors driving and texting. Makes me reconsider using them when my son is old enough

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a very positive experience from start to finish. Her classroom instructor, as well as the other instructors she drove with behind the wheel, were extremely professional at all times. We highly recommend Top Driver Driving School in Aurora to all.

Fantastic experience: My son attended topdriver, Ogden, Aurora location. The instructor was experienced in teaching and polite. My son loves attending his class. I would definitely recommend too driver to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Enrolled my son in Top Driver (Aurora) and I am very glad I did. The instructor obviously did a great job in the classroom teaching the rules of the road because he would point out every rule breaker! On road instruction was also great. Scheduling driving sessions and changing them if needed was pretty hassle free. Would certainly recommend to other parents for their kids.

Fantastic experience: Had nothing but good experience with Top Driver. Reliable service, good instructors and the customer service on phone is just amazing. They scheduled my son for classes and accommodated everything before our 9 month deadline ran out. Appreciate them a lot for that.

Negative experience: Edward Jones is the worst instructor I've ever had the DISpleasure of having. His teaching is alright although he has on multiple occasions wished death on people (I didn't know that was allowed in a teaching environment...). Him as driving instructor is another story. He makes you feel very uncomfortable and makes up lies to make your driving seem worse than it actually is (are you really seeking perfection in STUDENT drivers?). It's not just the students who dislike him, even the other driving instructors feel some of his ideas of how to teach are downright dangerous. If you (or your child) have a driving lesson with Ed I would recommend you reschedule and find another instructor (Davis is pretty cool) because you are putting yourself in danger when driving with this madman. His attitude and presence has made my Top Driver experience bad which is not what you want when you are paying a lot of money. Until Edward Jones is fired (which is hopefully soon) I will not recommend Top Driver to any of my fellow classmates.

Fantastic experience: Great

Negative experience: BAD BAD BAD customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They asked me to pay first to schedule appointment so I made the payment and customer service person told me someone will call me to schedule driving lessons and for two weeks no one calls me !!!! I had to chase them in order to schedule driving lesson and still they are not able to figure out how to use their own system to schedule appointment. Horrible experience...!!!!

Negative experience: First the positives: It was easy to sign up and make payment. Teacher was good and lessons were done well. Now the negatives: - Not a single spot is available to schedule a driving lesson for the entire next month. - Instructors tell the kids to do a few lessons with their parents. Now you can see why. - The whole reason of my signing up with Top Driver is so that I don't need to teach the basics. That goal is not met. - There are only 3 cars in the location and more than 100 kids in the classes. - It feels like "drink as much as you can" from an empty cup. I am happy that I did not sign up for the platinum programme which I seriously considered.

Fantastic experience: Love it here! The instructors are AMAZING!!! Epically Ed Jones! I did most of my drives with Ed and you develop a special bond with your instructor!

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test this week and could not have done it without the skills and expertise of the folks at Top Driver. Despite my age (44) I had never driven before, had never even been interested in it honestly, but booked a block of 6 lessons and was taken from the raw beginnings to driving safely on the highway. The staff were excellent, polite, easy going, knowledgeable and fun so the lessons never seemed like a drag or a chore. I was given hints and tips to help me pass at every stage and couldn't be happier with the education they gave me. Customer service was perfect - one time I had to postpone a lesson and it was rescheduled with no hassle and another time they had to reschedule by 30 mins but phoned to let me know in plenty of time in case I wanted to reschedule if the new time didn't suit. I'd highly recommend this service to anyone.
