911 Driving School of Rocky River

Positive experience: This is a great driving school, but it is not convenient. It took 4 months for my daughter to complete the program. The in cars end at the school, even though we live 5 miles away and I often had to leave work early to accomodate the almost 2 months worth of classes, then another 8 in-cars over the last 2 months. Not convenient at all. That being said, they do a great job. Krystal was our favorite driving instructor. My daughter is a very good, safe driver and she passed her drivers test in my Chevy Traverse on the 1st try. This makes it all worth it!

Fantastic experience: We have had three children go through the 911 program in the past year and the money spent was well worth it. One of our children did the online class and the other two did the in-person, all of which were great. They helped with scheduling, and made sure that the last in-car was shortly before the actual test. All three of our children scored 100% on their driving tests which I know they could not have done without the 911 driving staff.

Fantastic experience: As a high school student, I fully paid for and arranged my drivers education through 911, the instructors are fantastic and are incredibly knowledgeable. Some people are posting about the length of time it takes to complete the program, after completing my 24 hours of online class instruction, I was able to schedule all 8 of my in cars within a one month frame from completion of the online. All it took was constant refreshing of the scheduling page over a two day period, and since it's the summer, every other drivers educational institution is booked full. This school is perfect if you're looking to complete your drivers Ed faster than the competition, especially during the summer, and with competent instructors who have experience in the police force. The preparation they give for the maneuverability test cannot be beaten! Shout-out to their secretary Marie, she does an awesome job of filling in cancellations and such.

Fantastic experience: While I understand other's frustrations with scheduling, I'll GLADLY check the website several times a day to book a driving lesson with an active duty police officer from my hometown rather than an irresponsible amateur from a high-turnover, 2-star driving school. We won't put a price (time or money) on our child's safety and competence behind the wheel. Besides, we've been able to book one in-car lesson per week since we started the program.

Positive experience: Great school, but personnel are weak on Autism. If you know a business that does then please let me know.

Negative experience: I would not recommend the services of this driving school. Yes, it is expensive (which is to be expected in this day and age). Yes, the staff are kind and responsive and the instructors seem to be very capable BUT...It is a drain on mine/your valuable time to stalk the website ALL day long EVERY DAY in the hopes of maybe, just maybe a spot will open for you to schedule an in-car lesson. 911 Driving School needs to stop taking people's money if they do not have the resources/instructors to accommodate the in-car portion of training that is required for youthful drivers. After 3 going on 4 months of watching/waiting we only have 3 of the 8 lessons needed and had to pull my son out of school to complete them. As a side note they don't seem to offer two-hour sessions which would certainly be beneficial in completing the program in a timelier manner.

Fantastic experience: My son got his license!!. The teen was happy with the coach and said he received good driving tips. Due to Covid, it is kind of hard to get classes schedule at first. However, once starting first couple of classes, the coach is very helpful to assist scheduling and meet my son's test date. Great place for driving school. Thank you

Fantastic experience: I am beyond grateful for the driving school, they worked with us through all the problems with Covid. They went above and beyond to get him scheduled and worked with us to make sure he was set to take the test. I will defiantly use this school for the my second son. The office staff was amazing and always very friendly

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough, as a mother, how phenomenal this driving school is! Between Marie's willingness to help our family get scheduled, Greg and Dan (instructors) supporting my daughter to get licensed within 8 hrs and PASS within hours of concluding her last class! This driving school exceeded our thoughts of what a driving school could ever be. Thank you 911 for being there when we needed you and giving my daughter the safe skills she needs to drive safely! This place is DEFINITELY WORTH THE INVESTMENT!!!

Fantastic experience: Great training for teenagers! Having Officers teaching the skill set for safety and defensive driving has helped in many instances.

Fantastic experience: I need to comment of someones previous comment which was ("They still expect you as the parent to do the majority of the teaching. Not worth the 600$ price tag!")... State of Ohio Law states that the student driver "MUST spend "Fifty Hours" (50) with his/her parent or legal guardian learning to drive; and that parent or guardian must sign an affidavit stating that they have done this with their child. This Affidavit is required by the BMV. 911 Driving school spends 8 hours with the students, at an hour at a time behind the wheel in addition to 24 hours of classroom in depth instruction (These rules and laws are set by the State...not the Driving school) Lastly, this School utilizes the Professional Skill(s) by hiring Police Officers to teach its' students. Phenomenal School!

Negative experience: There is a British driver there from Atlanta who told me false information about driving which caused me to fail the driving part of my driving test Also when I was practicing maneuverability with an instructor they did not give many tips at all and sat in the passenger useing a phone

Fantastic experience: The instructors and employees all are very friendly, helpful and experienced. They all help especially in the behind the wheels in a car. I especially love that they hire retired police officers from special agents to DARE officers to typical police officers. They really care and want their students to succeed and students parents to be safe and responsible while having fun in class and after students receive licenses. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: All around fantastic!

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best driving school around and worth the money. Yes they expect parents to drive with the kids too (everyone has to log 50 hours of driving regardless of what school they attend) to reinforce what they have been taught in class and on drives, but they give them the tools to be the best drivers. I will gladly pay the money so my kids can have the best instruction, considering my kids are out on the roads with bad drivers who didn't attend this school. Worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: An amazing personal experience with the driving instructors that enabled me to easily pass the drivers test on the first try. They teach maneuverability so well and you will feel very comfortable once your 8 drives are done.
