Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Sane lane driving school. The instructors were patient, professional, and very knowledgeable. My instructor Garr, explained everything clearly and helped me build confidence behind the wheel. The lessons were well-structured, and they focused on both safety and technique. Scheduling was easy and flexible, which was great for my busy schedule. The car was always clean and well-maintained, and I felt safe learning in it. I passed my driving test on the first try thanks to their thorough preparation.

Fantastic experience: Garr was a wonderful instructor for our son. Our son was incredibly nervous about learning how to drive, but his confidence was boosted after every session with Garr. (AND our son passed his road test the first time he took it!) Garr is such a great instructor that we've already signed up our younger son for lessons.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend sane lane!! My instructor Garr taught me a lot over the course of 3 lessons — like parallel parking, 90 degree parking, lane changes, and handling the highway. The cheat sheet he gives is super helpful! I managed to pass my driver’s test the second time (nerves got me the first time) and now that I’ve had my driver’s license for a couple of weeks, I’m able to confidently drive myself everywhere!

Fantastic experience: Taking driving classes with Sane Lane Driving School was one of the best decisions I could have ever done. For the longest time, I dreaded driving just due to the anxiety and responsibility of it. Before I knew it, I was 22 years old and had only practiced driving once in my teens. Garr's calm energy really helped me feel more relaxed during the lessons. I felt safe driving knowing I had such a composed and confident driver to guide me. After a few lessons, Garr was confident in my ability to pass the road test. Thanks to him, I was able to pass the test on my first try! I am now pretty confident in my ability to drive. I'm actively in the process of getting a car and can't wait to get back on the road!

Fantastic experience: I was 21 when I took lessons with Garr. Over the three lessons we had we worked on everything that perfectly prepared me pass my first behind the wheel test, and even practiced freeway driving. Great service and professional instruction, I would recommend Sane Lane Driving School to anyone! Fantastic experience: Garr is awesome!! I am always anxious whenever I practice drive and it gets worse if my husband will teach me. Then, I decided to get a driving instructor and I came across to Sane Lane driving school. My experience with Garr is amazing and I told him my worries related to driving and so my goals. Fantastic experience: 100/100, Sane Lane is a great place to learn how to drive, let me tell you why. I came from a foreign country where we drove in the right seat instead of the left seat. Street rules is kinda different too. I took a skill test 2 times since the beginning of the year before I took a class with Garr, I desperately needed evaluation on what my mistake was on the test before I took 3rd test, also all of these failure raised up my anxiety level. I decided to take a class at the last minute after I had a conversation with my husband (he was my main teacher but I figured out it's not healthy for a relationship bcs we argued a lot). Then I called Garr based on Google reviews here (thanks everyone). But unfortunately, his schedule is sooo tight and thankfully he can give me a short class a day before the test. With this opportunity, of course, I asked questions that had been confusing for me, and Garr was very patient in answering every question. Everything that he said made sense to me and he evaluated what was wrong. And the next day, I did the test and I passed! I was so happy that I finally passed on my 3rd attempts. Thanks to Garr! For everyone out there that looking for a driving school with very patient and calm instructor that won't give you any pressure and very understanding, please take Garr's class. Very recommended!

I came to his driving school as a former New Yorker with basically no driving experience and a fear of cars and he patiently worked with me until I overcame my anxiety and passed the test! Not only were lessons informative and productive but they were fun and full of dad jokes. Fantastic experience: I'm an adult driver but needed lessons on parallel and reverse parking, and Garr did a great job teaching me and was a pleasure to work with! He's professional, patient, encouraging, and clear when teaching the techniques and what to look for. He also responded to my initial requests over email quickly and we were able to schedule a time very easily. I gained a lot more confidence with parking in tricky / tight spots after my lesson with him.

Fantastic experience: Garr is an amazing instructor and very knowledgeable,I think he told me he was a teacher before.which I think is were he gets his patients and understanding from.I have been having troubles understanding certain things,even though I’ve been through many instructors,none of them really took the time to explain what I was really having trouble understanding,Garr took the time to explain things very detailed and clear,we talked,we laughed it was like I was riding around with a friend.I had many instructors that would yell at me for stupid reasons,GAR is on of a kind and a good person.His also very affordable,compared to alot of these other places.I hope he gets more clients he really deserves it and they deserve an instructor willing to teach like Garr.

Fantastic experience: Garr is an experienced, patient instructor and he knows this area like the back of his hand - he knows the perfect location to practice different kinds of skills that you will need for the driver's test, down to every street and stop sign. I have previously failed my road test a handful of times and was very stressed about failing again. But with each lesson I began to feel more and more confident, and I finally passed my road test with a near perfect score! All the techniques I learned from taking classes with Garr have been extremely helpful. Also, huge kudos to Aubre, the assistant who always responds student email/calls in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Sane Lane Driving School to anyone new to driving or not confident in driving!!

Fantastic experience: Having never driven in Minneapolis in the three years that I’ve lived here, the thought of driving around the lively streets in Uptown or having to learn how to parallel park again at 24 was nightmarish. Took a chance with Sane-Lane’s driving lessons and am incredibly grateful for it. Cannot recommend ‘em enough, especially for folks looking to ease their anxiety with driving. Garr was kind, patient, and relaxed throughout the entire process and offered both constructive criticism and kudos very thoughtfully. He was never (even close to) condescending, always explained the “why” behind different maneuvers, and provided insight on the variety of situations that could come up at any given turn or intersection, which aided me wonderfully in predicting how other drivers might move. I finished my six hours feeling better about my ability to drive safely and confidently (on busy, construction laden streets, even!). Cooler than all that though—I now feel excited instead of anxious about moving forward with being a driver in the Twin Cities. Pretty neat for just six hours!

Fantastic experience: One of the best driving instructors in the business. He's great if your a nervous driver or can get nervous around the idea of driving. He also has incredibly reasonable pricing and one nicest instructors I've ever met. 10/10

Fantastic experience: Hi all. I pass my road test today at Plymouth after taking 4 hours Behind the wheel training with Garr. I have to say Mr. Garr is a really nice person and you will have a great experience driving with him. He is very patient and careful to help you find your issue and then correct them. More importantly, you can drive the freeway with him and know more details about safe driving which is the most important part. BTW, I am an international student at the U and never drive before and don’t have a car, failed many times before knowing Garr, the Sane lane Driving owner. I have to say I would fail again if I don’t take this 4hours training. Also, I have to say the price is only 50 dollars per hour and I guess you will never find such a cheaper one, not to say such a good instructor. I would like to pay 100 dollars per hour for him. So don’t judge good or bad based on the prices per house. In total, Sane Lane is your best choice please don’t hesitate if you failed a road test and plan to find an instructor or if you are not sure about your first road test. I have attached my road test result. The first one is pass for today and the second one is failed before taking the class with Garr.

Fantastic experience: Garr was an excellent resource for our daughter’s needs prior to her drivers test. He was kind, gave excellent feedback, always on time, very respectful, effective communication and gets back to emails within an hour. Our daughter did three road trips with him, went to her road test and passed within 15 minutes! The first person she wanted to share her exam results with was Garr! Thank you, Garr!
