Fantastic experience: A-1 Driving School is a very good place to attend if you're seeking point-reduction or just want to obtain auto insurance discounts. Les Davis was our instructor and Les is the best by far in the industry. Les went over the materials in dept and under his direction l, the class was interactive and inclusive. A-1 stated my certificate of completion would be sent to my email and they delivered on their promises. I would highly recommend A-1

Fantastic experience: I scheduled an defensive driving online course it was 6hrs , included small breaks so you could stretch & everyone got to read so we were engaged. I'd highly recommend & pick this school again.

So, for anyone who needs to further there education in Defensive Driving, A-1 Driving School East Point is the place. Worth every penny!

Positive experience: Imani Hines provided the first driving instruction and it was awful. She didn't take any time upon introduction to learn about daughter's prior driving experience, which was almost none, and expected her to just jump in the driver's seat and begin. Imani also thought she had provided previous instruction to her, which signals no personal connection to her students. After a level set, Imani drove to a parking lot to begin the lesson. When daughter got behind the wheel and made some mistakes, Imani began yelling and speaking very curtly. She even went further to insult parent's driving skills by yelling, "You've seen your parents do that and it's wrong!" Imani had zero patience and zero soft skills to work with a novice driver - yelling just makes a student more uneasy. My daughter actually made an excuse to cut the lesson short after 1.5 hours because she didn't want to be around Imani any longer. Once she returned to the neighborhood, Imani must have sensed a problem because her completely changed her tone. She apologized and asked my daughter to laugh with her and be friendly. When she pulled into our driveway, Imani broke into tears and said she simply wants to teach kids to drive and lauded herself for how long she's been teaching. Because it's been so long, it may be time for Imani to retire. She doesn't have the mental stability to work with novice drivers. We cancelled the remaining appointments with her and scheduled with another instructor.

Fantastic experience: This driving school made understanding the material easy and they generally wanted you to learn which made the process go smoothly!

Fantastic experience: A-1 driving school is the besties learning driving education , all love and appreciate for Ms.Imani Hines she is good educator ,comfortable during learning, and more patient and respect . I was passed the road test of first trial ,Im very grateful for her . Thank you A-1 driving school and thank you Ms.Imani ,My experience with you was perfect .

Negative experience: Miss Imani was very rude. During my road test she spoke the whole time and lectured me, adding to my nervousness. She also did not do a car check/inspection before she got in the car. I believe she held many biases against my character. If you HAVE to take a lesson here I'd advise it be with anyone but her.

Fantastic experience: My teacher was Consuela Lowery. She was a very great instructor! I could tell she places great importance on safety when I took my lessons with her. Her energy is unmatched and I'm grateful I was able to take my lessons under her guidance. I now have my license! Thank you a1 :D

Negative experience: I’ve paid 2 months ago for my drivers test and no one has contacted me about taking it, but they had no problem taking my money

Negative experience: Only came out 2 times and never showed backup only took my money and won’t give it back The instructor complained that teenagers can drive better than you I never drove before in my life she had no patience we didn’t own a car when I was growing up so I never learn to drive I pay them $500 to teach me but they only complain how bad driver I was and when I called the store location they wouldn’t give me a refund I would never use this company again please don’t either seen your children

Fantastic experience: I finally gave myself that push to go ahead and pay for lessons. I’m so glad I did! I was referred to this school by a friend and took the time to research and scroll through the reviews. I saw the name Imani Hines and the positive reviews she had. I then saw that she was completely booked and I see why. When I finally saw an availability for a lesson I hopped on it. Mrs. Hines is an amazing instructor. She’s no nonsense direct and also caring. She’s very passionate about what she does. You have to be willing to take constructive criticism and know that her directness comes from her heart and her eagerness for you to grasp and retain the information, so you can be a safe and cautious driver. I would definitely recommend this school, especially Mrs. Hines as your instructor.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Imani is a excellent teacher. Even though she’s strict she made the steps simple and easy to understand, because of her I passed my driving test with a 95 I’m very grateful for her.

Fantastic experience: A-1 Driving School did a great job of educating my daughter about defensive driving. The staff was very helpful and even though I had not registered properly on line, they were able to register her on the spot that Saturday morning. I love the fact that they have so many locations so you can find one near you, and that they have classes every Saturday so that my daughter didn't have to miss school. She says she learned a lot. The downtown East Point location is very convenient, and is located within walking distance to a variety of affordable restaurants, which is very convenient for the 1 hour lunch break. I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Ms. Imani was a great teacher. She taught we so much in a very short time. And I know I was one of her most challenging students. She made the steps simple and easy to understand I passed my driving test with a 90 all because of her!!!!

Fantastic experience: A1 lives up to it’s name “A1”. Mr. Lester was the best instructor ever. He was very informative and straightforward. He also has a comedian side of him but means every word he says. I recommend this class to anybody who have to sit through a 6hrs class and wants the class to feel like 3hrs lol. Time flew!!!

Fantastic experience: I was court ordered to come to class. My teacher was Ms. Lori Mason and she was an awesome teacher. Her instructions to us was very clear and direct. Our class was very interactive and we were able to engage and ask questions. There were seven people in my class and before the end of class I made new friends. This location was very clean and there were a couple of eatery places to dine for our hour lunch. This location is also accessible to East Point Train station.

Fantastic experience: Class was well organized and taught me what I need to know to avoid any infractions in the future. Will choose this location the next time I have to take the class.

Fantastic experience: I learned better driving skills. The teacher made the class interesting enough so the 6 hours went by and you have a break for lunch. The front desk lady is very nice. Class is $95, you pay online.

Negative experience: I understand the state policies of having a minimum of 5 students and the class is canceled because of it. However, this occurred twice at this location. The first time I was notified then the second time I was not notified. I did not receive an email nor a phone call. I paid well in advance for a class I was suppose to have done three weeks ago. So I asked questions to better understand the my situation. I give this location one-star because the office manager Michele Guyton provided terrible customer service. I asked her multiple questions regarding what I could do since the class was canceled. She initially answered them but after I returned with more questions she got frustrated with me. It got to the point to were she frustratingly called me rude, for asking questions. I asked her why and she had nothing to say. I came to this location to complete a required defensive driving course but I should not be ridiculed because of questions. Would advise others to go to other A1 Driving School because the East Point Office Manager Michele Guyton has a short patience, especially if you ask her multiple questions.

Fantastic experience: The instruction of the class was very informative and helpful. One can tell he was very dedicated to his knowledge and teachings of the class. He also liked to laugh and he made great scenarios to our class, which was great because he got the point across to all of us. I especially like it because we all were apart of an active process and got to talk to one another about situations.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Mr Tony. He made driving and parallel parking simple. I never thought I would be able to get over my fear of driving on the express, he made it possible. I'm about to sign up again & request for him so he can prepare me for my road test.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the weekend. The receptionist was great and she made sure there wasn't any misunderstandings and that we had all the proper tools to start class. The instructor was incredible, he taught the class in such a way that made it enjoyable. I learned some vital lessons that I will definitely apply in my daily life. I would recommend A-1 to anybody
