Fantastic experience: Easily the best truck driving school in Illinois. They work with your schedule. You can get your class hours done in the morning, afternoon or evening. The instructors are firm but will help you in every way. Their goal is to make sure you graduate. The ladies in the office are always a delight they encourage you and joke around with you. Fantastic experience: This is a great school for beginners. Full of friendly staff and wonderful instructors. I went from not knowing anything about a semi to being able to drive one and back one up no problem. The instructors Danny and Daniel will make sure you know your pretrip inspection while Abel and Tony will help you behind the wheel. Abel and Tony are patient and will work with you until you grasp the knowledge. They always say have fun while you learn, I recommend this school to anyone wanting to earn their CDL.

Fantastic experience: I will start off by saying I would most definitely recommend this school to anyone trying to get their Class A CDL license. Man what a ride it has been. Big thank you to everyone at CDL America. You truly feel the love from the staff. They really care about you getting your license and learning the information. They don’t only teach you to drive the truck but also to get out of situations you may put yourself in. All of the instructors are great. From the classroom to the yard. The classroom portion gets a bit repetitive but it is a program designed to teach everyone at their own pace. So if your above the curve you continue at your pace and are not held back. Once you get to the yard your shown all of the skills necessary for the road. HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to Tony! Man you went above and beyond your duties to make sure students are not only learning but comfortable while we do it. You make everyone feel like they are at home and able to ask questions and not afraid to mess up and get yelled at. You are definitely a huge push for everyone there. I know a lot of us pushed through a lot of it because of your tricks and tips. I for one can not thank you enough. Abel is another really good and informed instructor that is very involved in the learning as well as Cristo. The owner Mauricio is also always in the yard and classroom making sure everyone is good and is always willing to answer questions if you have any. If I had to go through this process again I would pick this school again. Thank you guys.

Fantastic experience: One thing I can say about this school is that they very much care about people getting their CDL with the best knowledge, but just like any other thing in life, it’s all up to You how you make this experience. Karina is so nice, very smart and will most likely have the answer to your questions. Abel is a head on, very well educated and friendly instructor with the proper amount of strictness added on.. Tony is an extremely passionate, loving and very caring instructor, but will also remind you that truck driving is not a game. Tony most definitely has the Best tips and tricks, great heart on the guy. Cristo is a young, well articulated instructor who will also give some of the nicest tips and tricks. I thank all 4 of these instructors, as they helped me achieve my goal WAY earlier than I expected. I also want to weigh in on the In-class portion of the program. I personally believe it can improve to be a bit better, and a bit more effective. I feel like what could very much help are class GROUP activities. Make the learning a bit more fun, because I tend to notice that people get very impatient listening to a person explain the pre-trip inspection over and over. It almost does nothing for the students. Class activities, for example, popcorn reading is a very good way of the class learning progressively as a group. Or, short pop-quizzes on certain lessons that were learned on said day. Another idea could be to get the STUDENTS to engage a lot more in activity and lessons. It’s a great way of getting the student to not give up and try a little harder because it may seem way too over complicated without the little bit of fun that takes place in classroom activities. In my personal opinion, there is only one thing that can improve and that’s only the classroom portion. Everything else, I guarantee every new student will appreciate the amount of passion, education and love these people got. They WILL insure that you get your license. Fantastic experience: Started my CDL classes on Sept 13 an on Nov 22 I passed my CDL class A test. Even before I started my classes, the communication with the staff on the phone and on my first visit, was very informative and had answers for all my questions. I got my permit 4 days into my classes with their help and study guides. I learned quickly once I started in the yard because the instructors are very knowledgeable and work individually with the students. My 5th week I was confident enough in my skills ( so were they) that I started to drive on the road. A little background information, I had no prior experience with semi’s or manual transmissions, and these guys got me through. I highly recommend this school from a very satisfied graduate!

From the in class learning with Karina to Abel and Tony in the yard they made it fun to go to class. Abel and Tony are very hands on with you and have a tremendous amount of patients. Plus they have their own yard you get to practice your skills here in Aurora and they have testers that come to this same yard so no driving to West Chicago for the test.
