Fantastic experience: Very good I took two lessons and passed

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved taking driving lessons with Mary, she was nice, patient, calm, and informative. She was talkative but it helped calm my nerves instead of awkward silence. If i made a mistake, she made sure to call it out and immediately correct it while getting me into good driving habits. Only had 3 lessons and ended up passing my drivers test with a perfect score on the first try. I recommend her to anyone needing any amount of help.

Fantastic experience: I received a WOW experience. Mary is a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person. I was very fortunate to have picked her as my instructor. She showed her experience by being extremely knowledgeable on everything from the test to the DMV facility itself. I truly would not have done it without her. Fantastic experience: Mary is an excellent driver instructor she's patient, professional and very thorough on her lessons. Explaining every course with meaning and purpose, teaching me tips and tricks of proper etiquettes on road. I was afraid of being behind the wheel again after a bad series of incidents and wrong set of people teaching me but thankfully Mary helped me breakdown all the bad habits and overcome my anxiety, slowly but surely giving me driver's confidence her teachings were firm but fair. After a few months under her guidance getting better and more comfortable of being a driver I was ready for the test. Mary set up my appointment improving my skills as a driver to get ready, we practice and practice at least once a week to remember the route and being strict of every little nuances for guarantee pass, then the day comes. My heart was pounding, nervous and even scared but I know I can do it on the day of my driving test for the DMV I failed... To no fault of her own but rather the weather was rainy and my anxiety got the best of me... Losing my confidence and questioning my skills at my lowest point questioning "maybe I wasn't ready to get a license" or "I'm not a good driver" having these thoughts cause me to doubt my abilities. Mary smash those thoughts away saying "You are a Good Driver it was just a bad day" "Your not the only one who failed, 3 other people failed during your test!" With many words of encouragement even having her own sister to encourage me regain my confidence, having two weeks to wait for the retest we took the opportunity to practice once on a Tuesday and during the day of DMV Drive test. Finally after a long grueling 2 weeks of patience I took the test and I PASS!!! second try with Mary, without her help and words of encouragement I'm forever thankful for her, no words and expression I can think of to show my gratitude. So yes I recommend her If you want a instructor who will go thick and thin for you she's your GAL! Thank you for reading my review, Paul De Vera

Fantastic experience: I was incredibly nervous about taking my son out driving when he first got his permit, so I reached out to Street Smart Driving School for guidance. Mary was amazing—she immediately made Gavin feel comfortable behind the wheel and explained everything in a way that was clear and easy for him to grasp. After completing several hours of behind-the-wheel training, he became a competent and confident driver. Now, he’s officially a licensed driver! Fantastic experience: It has been my longest and wildest dream to be able to drive. I know I am 29 years old now, but I started my driving lessons with Mary when I was 28, just a few months before turning 29. She has been more than incredible ... She's absolutely phenomenal. If it weren’t for Mary, I would not have gained the confidence and calmness I needed behind the wheel. I am truly forever grateful for her. Because of Mary’s guidance as my driving instructor, I now have a solid understanding of the rules of the road. At my previous driving school, I would just drive and hope for the best, praying I was doing the right thing. With Mary, however, I knew 100% what I was doing because she instilled both knowledge and practical skills in me. Now, I own a car that I just bought, and I feel very confident and comfortable driving at any time of the day. Mary is out-of-this-world amazing, and I would absolutely recommend her. Positive experience: Mary is an interesting driving instructor. some of the things she does/says during the lessons can be controversial and if said to the wrong person could get her in trouble. a little rude but once you show her you can be rude too she backs off. one of those people that if she works for you then she works great, but if you dont vibe with her you wont have a positive experience. at the end of the day however i passed my driving test. also if she tells you your going to need more than one “prep test” do not listen and do not buy more than 1. she wanted to go through all 4 routes with me and pay so much more for another prep test when the dmv doesn’t even do more than one route. but other than that a pretty decent instructor. personal question could have been reduced a little tho.

Fantastic experience: I passed my driving test today on my FIRST try!! I took 3 lessons with Mary and absorbed all of her teachings like a sponge. She is very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, encouraging, and detail oriented. I found her style of teaching to be very effective for me because she gave me words of affirmation whenever I was doing something correctly; it really gave me a boost of confidence! She also kept it real with me and would give me constructive feedback in a calm and respectful way. I’m a late bloomer when it comes to driving, and Mary really helped me understand the rules of the road and how to drive in a way that the DMV wants me to. I’m a visual learner, and I think it’s great that she takes the time to draw and show us different driving scenarios for us to study and practice. She deserves 10+ stars!!

Fantastic experience: I would like to start this review by saying that if there was more than 5 star , Mary deserves that.. I would like to thank Mary at Street Smart Driving School for giving our daughter the confidence to drive and being safe while driving. She is a great teacher with an amazing character. Very sweet , friendly , honest and the very patient. We were worried that our shy daughter would have a problem with her teacher , we were wrong . From day one she was so nice and family oriented which led our daughter to be very comfortable with her teacher. It is very important when you trust the teacher who picks up your child from your house . Our daughter passed her driving test the first time and that brought so much confidence in her and we thank Mary for that . The best investment we made for our child . We recommend this school to every parent who is looking for someone who is trustworthy and knowledgeable and honest .

Fantastic experience: Street Smart Driving School is the number one driving school in Nevada. Mary, my driving instructor, taught me so much that I passed my driver’s license test on the first try. I’ve been to other driving school, but Mary is the only one who truly taught me how to drive the right way. She is the best instructor I’ve ever had—her patience and teaching style made me feel so much more confident and less anxious about driving. Mary also focused on teaching me defensive driving skills, which have made me feel much safer on the road. I can’t recommend and thank her enough! Fantastic experience: Wonderful school. Highly recommend. Our teenage daughter was very nervous about getting driving lessons, but Mary was able to work with her, build up her confidence and teach her some very important skills. She went out of her way to accommodate us when we had to make appointment change almost last second which we appreciate a lot. Our daughter just passed her driving test. We are very happy and please with Mary and her driving school. She is wonderful person and great instructor.

Fantastic experience: I moved to the states last year but so was nervous about driving in another country, on the opposite side of the road to what I was used to, that I kept putting it off! I decided to reach out to Mary in preparation for my driving test because I had read some amazing reviews, which turned out to be very accurate! Mary is kind and supportive in her approach, and helps to enhance knowledge as well as correct mistakes, through conversation, drawings and lots of practice. Mary’s priorities were always about safety, knowledge, and building confidence. I went on to pass my test first time, only wishing I had reached out to Mary sooner :)

Fantastic experience: I wanted to thank Mary so so much!!She got me to pass my exam with 100% on my first try. I am 44 with only a motorcycle license and have never driven a car, well my circumstances had made me change and Mary was there ready to take on the challenge with a new adult driver. She was there the whole way answered any questions I had throuhout,and set up a "gameplan" of driving sessions with me as well as provided safe practice routes I could do on my own, utilizing the skills and driver information she had taught me. From the begining she was patiently guiding me, teaching me all necessary skills and nuances to become a safe, confident,cautious, and curtious driver. She was there rooting for me too, always showing support and also was stern when I didnt following her directions or made a mistake, which got the point accross. Fantastic experience: Mary and Street Smart Driving School has been exceptional for our family! I had a ton of anxiety driving with my son when he first started which was causing all kind of problems when he went from the parking lot onto busier streets. He felt uncomfortable with me in the car and I was a mess. Mary took over and calmly guided him from side streets, to busier roads, and finally the freeway. I honestly didn't see him driving until he was older with where he started, but Mary helped him progress quickly. He was able to take his driving test and pass with a 97 on his first try. He's now a safe and aware driver, we couldn't have done it without her. We are so thankful to have had an expert teaching him to drive, and will use her without question in 8 months when it comes time to teach my daughter. Thank you Mary!!!!

Fantastic experience: I found this driving school very helpful. Mary is an awesome instructor. So far I’ve done four driving lessons with her and I’ve progressed greatly. She wasn’t afraid to take me on St Rose Parkway. I feel very comfortable with her and I highly recommend this driving school. I was very nervous when I was learning to drive with my parents, but this helped me a lot.

Fantastic experience: I was able to pass my test on the first try, and I owe it all to Mary! She is everything you would want in an instructor: friendly, patient, understanding but firm, and most importantly, honest. When I started, I could barely move my way around the parking lot, and I was quite nervous behind the wheel. Due to life circumstances, I had to stop taking lessons for a while, and even with a hiatus like that, she was able to catch me right back up to speed so that I could pass my test. Mary was an absolute delight to work with, and I cannot recommend her enough to anybody looking for an amazing instructor who will teach them exactly what they need to know.

Fantastic experience: Mary is not only a great instructor, but she can be harsh (in a good way) which is really needed when you’re learning something so important. She is very patient which you rarely see in a lot of people who teach. She taught and helped me a lot to where I am now and I was able to make it on the first attempt.

Fantastic experience: I moved to the US recently and didn't dedicate time to learn and adjust to the driving laws and habits in the country, thinking driving experience from abroad would be enough to get a Nevada driver's license. Mary managed to teach me a lot of important information and driving techniques in a short matter of time, and it helped me pass my first driving test. She is a great teacher and deserves more than 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: My thanks go to Mary for guiding me along the way while also being flexible in my teachings. She helped me since September 22, and I had some trouble at the end of the year which prevented me from testing. Mary did her best to accommodate me, and teach me all again from the basics which allowed me to pass my driving test smoothly. She can be both an easy and harsh teacher, but she’s undoubtedly a good teacher. 10/10 would recommend new drivers to go with her.

Negative experience: She’s a very nasty person. And over charges for nothing. Glad I didn’t give her a dime. Before you choose to drive with her, listen to her closely. She’ll try to get over on you. And if you question her prices, she’ll imply that you’re broke. She doesn’t know anybody personally lol, we’re not broke, just not stupid nor desperate. And if you read this Mary or whatever your name is, you sound extremely fat! Stop eating so much. AND her reply to this post is a LIE. And also, instead of trying to teach someone to drive, go take a proper English course.

Fantastic experience: I just passed today!!! I have been scared to retake the drive test for 10 years but finally went to find a driving school. I specifically wanted a lady and Mary was the only one I could find. I did 6 classes I believe and used her car for the test. Mary is fun to be with she is also stern when breaking the rules. Fantastic experience: Having Mary assist in teaching my son 17 yr. old son to confidently drive was a great decision. I am very impressed how she was able to get him the necessary confidence and ability to pass his driving test on the first try! Mary was very patient and thorough with him; she would carefully go over any mistakes he was making or improvements he needed to make in a manner that he could understand and not feel bad about. Negative experience: SCAM! BEWARE! Discriminatory and prejudiced!! After speaking to Mary Osland on the phone, via Zelle I paid for a 6 hour course for $495, -I mentioned her website says a 6 hour course is $340- My lessons are on 10/3, 10/4 and 10/5. I call TODAY 9/12, 3 weeks before my lessons to cancel and she says I have to pay a $75 cancel fee -I mentioned her website says the cancel fee is $50- I ask why, first she implies that I can’t afford the 6 hour course since I’m asking for my money back. Really? Then tells me the website is wrong because her Indian website developer doesn’t know what he’s doing! Huh? Why would you say that to a paying customer?! Before she hangs up on me, she tells me to go and report her if I need to! Horrible customer service! Currently, I’m on the phone with my bank and Zelle to report her business as fraud.

Fantastic experience: Mary is an amazing driving instructor! She was my 16 y/o son's instructor and he absolutely loved her. He did 3 lessons with Mary and they got along great. Mary is very patient, knowledgeable and very friendly. She made my son feel confident and helped him understand how important safety is. My son passed his test last week, thanks to Mary! Negative experience: The instructor is aggressive and constantly gaslighting me she is the most professional one and I should trust her all the time. During the first lesson, when I refused to answer her question about how much my rent is, she said I was the weirdest person she had met. I just think that's not professional to talk to a driving learner about some topics unrelated to driving skills during the lessons. She asked me many personal questions during my driving. When I decided not to continue working with her, she didn't fully refund me and charged me $130 a lesson, said because she spent time picking me up; but she told me before that $120 a lesson listed on her website including the pickup & drop off. I feel sad $10 is more valuable than integrity? Furthermore, the first lesson includes parking on the street to listen to her 20 mins’ speech about how she is professional. There are 8 very positive reviews, but TBH, this was my frustrated and unpleasant experience to work with this ma’am. I still don't want to give her 1 star, because I was hoping she was just not nice to me but nice to others. She might be very good at driving, but pls be professional and respectful as a driving educator.

Fantastic experience: Mary is so knowledgeable and takes her time with her students to make sure they understand what she is teaching them. Her years of experience are evident in the way she runs her business and how she handles her students. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a driving school.
