Apple Driving School of NY

Negative experience: I had initially planned to leave a glowing five-star review for Apple Driving School, but unfortunately, my recent experience has led me to reconsider. I purchased a driving package in August 2023, which included 10 lessons, a 5-hour class, and access to a car for the driving test. My initial experience was positive, as I had an excellent instructor. However, in November 2023, I was involved in a car accident that left me feeling anxious and experiencing panic attacks whenever I got behind the wheel. After discussing this with my instructor, I decided to take a break from driving for several months. In July 2024, I contacted Apple Driving School to resume my lessons and was informed that my preferred instructor was fully booked. I didn’t mind waiting and agreed to check back the following month. In August, I informed the school that I would be away for school and planned to resume my lessons in December. However, when I called at the end of November to schedule my remaining three lessons, I was told that my package had expired in August, and they could not accommodate me. I visited the office in person a week ago to discuss my situation. I was told that, according to company policy, all packages expire one year after purchase, which I was unaware of. I requested to speak with a manager or someone in charge, but I was told I would receive a callback. Unfortunately, no one has reached out to me. While I understand that this is a busy time of year, the lack of communication and follow-through has been disappointing and unprofessional. I purchased a $640 package, which included 10 lessons, a 5-hour class, and access to a car for the driving test. I completed only 7 lessons, did not take the 5-hour class, and never used the car for the driving test, as I was unable to reach that stage. It is concerning that the expiration policy was never clearly communicated to me at the time of purchase. This should have been clearly stated on my receipt and verbally discussed at the outset, particularly given that I took a break due to extenuating circumstances. Additionally, I was not informed that my instructor had retired, despite having contacted the school in August to schedule my remaining lessons. I had a positive impression of Apple Driving School until this experience. The lack of clear communication and the failure to resolve this issue professionally has left me disappointed. Regrettably, based on this experience, I will not be continuing business with the school and cannot recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing instructor mr farhad and all the lessons he taught me. If it wasn't for him i would of never passed my road test!!! I passed because of farhad and the driving school. Excellent experience

Fantastic experience: this driving school is truly a great one, you wouldn’t regret choosing it. i had farhad as my instructor, and he was great! i recommend him as a driving instructor, very patient and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! Had the 5 lesson package and the receptionist accommodated the lessons with my schedule which was great and farhad taught me very well. Really patient and thorough. Highly recommend to take lessons with him! I took the road test yesterday and passed!!
