Positive experience: I loved the staff of First Class, but I didn't finish my lessons. The owners started as a family business, I met Chris(?) and he was always very kind and supportive, and his parents were true sweethearts too. I feel bad because I don't remember his mother's name but she facilitated my 5 hour class and she was stern, but so helpful and taught me and the class basics and was so easy to talk to when I picked up my certificate. The issue is, I got their new instructor, Jeremy. I am definitely an awful driver, but Jeremy barely gave feedback and spent most of our lessons talking about conspiracy theories about billionaires, once he literally told me that Ideal supermarket is a government plant made to destroy neighborhoods, and sometimes anime. I was always trying to focus on the road, of course I talked back a bit, but I was asking questions and trying to learn while he was more interested in having conversation.. Nice guy but I feel like I learned nothing and switched to a different school. I wish I could say my experience here was perfect, and honestly I jumped the gun and should have switched to a different instructor because the other instructors seemed so much more helpful.. Thank you Chris and family you guys made me feel a lot less scared about driving!! On top of that, I wish you guys did pick up because the neighborhood is honestly really creepy and I kept seeing a homeless guy with his.. genitals out a block away and every other school does pickup..

Hello Fateema, thank you for the kind words and I'm sorry that you had such a bad experience with the instructor but you should have brought these things to our attention while you were still taking classes and not a year later so we could have taken care of the situation the moment it was happening. Jeremy's been gone from our school since November of last year and that was due to other students that brought issues to our attention, similar concerns and complaints. In regards to the home pickup, we started that back up again in January of this year. The comment about the homeless person seems a bit unnecessary since they're prevalent in every borough so you could run into that any time you walked out of your home. Regardless, I hope that you were able to pass your test with the other school and we wish you luck and safety going forward as you navigate the streets with your hard-earned license.
