Anderson's Driving School

Negative experience: ZERO stars. By far the most insulting customer experience Ive ever lived through. This business is so poorly run. We experienced more no-show appointments then those where the instructor showed up. Even still, they insisted on charging a penalty when we canceled with 24 hour notice. The staff was consistently argumentative, passing the blame onto others, and holding no accountability in solving their mistakes. Over the course of the 10 lessons, observations, and the road test, Anderson driving school wasted over 12 hours of our time. DO NOT use this service.

Negative experience: The most expensive driving school but instructors are very unprofessional, each lesson they send different instructor, if you don’t wanna waste your time and your money look for another driving school. I don’t recommend at all

Negative experience: the drivers ed classes were awful, the teacher was unprofessional and condescending to students and acted as if students should already know everything. Additionally tried to instill fear in the students. Used to be good but isnt anymore.

Fantastic experience: Extremely professional. Zia was a great instructor, took the time to explain everything. Was responsive to all my queries. Gave me enough practice before the test. Also taught parallel parking within 10 mins. Biggest plus is that you are able to take the road test with them instead of going to the RMV. Would definitely recommend going here for driving classes as well as the test.

Negative experience: AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Paid in full and have to beg and plead to get lessons scheduled it is a nightmare find somewhere where you pay for services you get vs. being pushed off over and over waste of time and money! Do not be like me and make the mistake of choosing this school it is a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Extremly unprofessional when calling and emailing they are AWFUL!

Fantastic experience: Before, I was with another driving school nearby, which wasn't that good. However, after I encountered Anderson's Driving School in Framingham, it was not even close compared with the previous one. First, I want to thank the owner, Bill, who assisted me in promptly scheduling my lessons and weekend road test. Also, I would like to thank my instructor, James, who helped me with the various maneuvers and techniques to pass my road test and become a safe and confident driver. I highly recommend this driving school to anyone looking to get their license easily and become an excellent driver.

Negative experience: Instructor was good, but I have paid $420($210 each) for the 2 tests. (They don’t accept credit card, so you have to go to the office to pay by cash.) In spite of I’ve taken lessons here, school has charged $210 to EVERY single test and never guarantees to pass it. Bill(owner) has forgotten that I’ve paid the second road test fee, and company tried to take extra money if I didn’t have the receipt. It’s very irresponsible. The instructor didn’t point out anything during the warm up time, but examiner caught me tripping, so I don’t know how to improve it (I have another country’s driver’s license). Road test at DMV costs just $35, so I recommend everyone to take the test there or go to better schools. I didn’t get anything from here.

Negative experience: I passed my road test today!!! I’m so happy. After a bad experience with another driving school in Framingham that left me apprehensive, Anderson’s driving school was very professional. They made the whole process comfortable and easy. LIMA was my instructor, he is amazing, extremely patient and kind. I highly recommend him! Thank you so much! update: this was 3 years ago when I got my license. I had given them 5 stars because of Lima, HE deserves it, but does not work there anymore. However, my daughter had her driving classes there and now my opinion has completely changed. This was my comment on yelp: Worst experience ever. This place is terrible. They expect students to be as good as experienced adults are without even teaching them properly. They have no patience at all and make students feel really bad about themselves. My daughter got home extremely frustrated many times and not even talking to the school owner was helpful. The instructors are not respectful towards the students that are facing an incredibly crucial time of their lives or their parents that are paying over 800 dollars for their child to be disrespected and have no desire for driving anymore. I wanted to give them a 0, but I didn't because 1: not possible; 2: James is a good instructor. If you have the option, please consider a different school.

Negative experience: Very bad service - have to chase scheduling and customer service is terrible!

Fantastic experience: I enrolled for classes here and passed my road test without difficulty. James is a great teacher and is very empathetic, he really wants his students to pass the test. Bill might seem stern at first but he is very kind and extremely helpful. I’m glad that i chose anderson driving school over others.

Negative experience: The people at Anderson’s are great. Super sweet supportive and very encouraging , two instructors Ed and zia were great. But on the day of my driving test today the RMV instructor was horrible there were students who were clearly making errors and we’re passing and I was doing all the correct things and in less than a minute I was told I failed. I called the school and they said that one of the instructors was looking at me during my test and I was doing a great job and that they apologize but they cannot do anything because it is on the RMV and maybe that instructor had a bad day which is not fair they should be judging students fairly. I’ve paid $210 for my time wasted with a horrible RMV Instructor who didn’t pass me for no reason and they didn’t even give me a chance. I should’ve passed because the school even knew that I should’ve passed. The school is great wonderful encouraging but the RMV instructors that they use are not very good and very hesitant on taking a second road test as I don’t have another $210 to throw away. My whole entire day has been ruined because I did not pass and they tell you you can retake the test in two weeks but it is not that case they try their best to accommodate which I really appreciate but I’ll have to wait one and a half months to retake the test which is now costing me money that I have to spend every single day to get Uber‘s and lyfts when I could have passed today and had a car and saved myself so much money but I am now wasting my entire paycheck every two weeks so I have transportation to and from work. But the RMV instructors do not care. I really would’ve hoped I could get a refund or if I decide to retake the test not have to pay again. BECAUSE I LEFT THIS REVIEW THE OWNER bill DROPPED ME FROM ME NEXT SCHEDULED ROAD TEST. If I could leave zero stars I would . He said the following among other things I don’t agree with. “ Hello Julia , just read your review on google. I’m very surprised at what you said. Now you can go to arts where you’ll fail 4 more times. Your off the test on June 12 good for you for sinking yourself. Please don’t call me or the school. Should cost you about another $1000.00 if not more before you get your license.” DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL THEY ACT NICE TO GET YOUR MONEY THEN YOU GIVE THEM A REVIEW WHICH BY THE WAY I MENTIONED THE SCHOOL WAS GOOD AND ENCOURAGING I JUST DISLIKE THE RMV INSTRUCTOR WHO FAILED ME FOR NO REASON BUT I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE AND CAN. IF THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT THERE CUSTOMERS WOW I CANT EVEN IMAGINE DONT GO HERE YOUR BETTER OFF GOING TO THE RMV PAYING 85$ THEN FOR 210$

Fantastic experience: 11/10 I highly recommend Anderson's Statewide Driving School. The instructor to the owner, friendliest and most caring people you will ever meet. From start to finish everything was amazing. James help me be confident while driving knowing that he wants you to succeed. Bill is a very nice guy and very knowledgeable about the test. The practice warm up before the test helped immensely. I passed my road test today and I want to thank everyone at Anderson's Statewide Driving School. BEST DRIVING SCHOOL OUT THERE. Book at Anderson's!! So happy I did :)

Fantastic experience: This is by far most the best driving school locally , they are extremely professional and they are always there to help everyone get their license. They actually want you to pass and get you out in the road. Thank you so much for helping me get my license !!!

Fantastic experience: I took drivers ed through Andersons Driving during the COVID-19 pandemic. They set up a virtual classroom through Zoom in order to help us in completing the class. Even though we had to take the class virtually, I felt like I learned a lot. It was such a big help to be able to still participate in this class and be productive during such crazy times. The class ran very smoothly and we accomplished a lot of work. There was also some humor to lighten up the class and enjoy the course. The teacher was very accommodating, answered every question anyone had, and gave us all the information we would be needing for getting to the next step of getting our license. Overall, I enjoyed taking drivers ed through Andersons Driving and I am very glad I did. :)

Negative experience: After I posted a 2-star review on Yelp, the owner "Bill" replied by personally insulting my wife. Even more unbelievable, he thought he was replying to our son - and apparently saw nothing wrong with insulting a student's mother to the student directly. Seriously see attached screenshot. It is...unreal. The owner literally replied to my review with: "...your mother was a 'you know what' enough said." I was shocked, but he actually sent 2 insulting responses over a matter of days after the post - so he thought about, slept on it, and decided to be MORE insulting. It is such an irresponsible and unprofessional way of doing business. This was supposed to be one of the most exciting moments in my child's life, and it was instead consistently marred by this type of behavior. I don't expect a Fortune-500 level organization - it's a local driving school. But I strongly encourage you to consider this kind of sad behavior and spend your time and money somewhere else for this important moment in your Childs life. This was the text from my original 2-star review: New ownership can't be bothered to follow through and pushes work back on the young person and their family. The final part of the agreement with the company is that they provide the driving test, but the owner Bill totally dropped the ball and forgot to schedule it - even though we reached out weeks in advance. Then he refused to make up for the error saying we just needed to take care of it ourselves - despite part of the fee is actually providing the driving test. It's too bad. Anderson's had previously scored such great reviews.

Fantastic experience: Really just a spectacular staff at the school. I had comprehensive, amazing lessons from day one. I walked into my written test and my road test with full confidence that I would pass. From the beginning of the on-roads, the instructors basically took you through the road test. The instructors I had, especially Lima and James, not only taught me how to drive, but how to feel confident about my driving. I would recommend Anderson's to anyone who not only wants to pass their test, but to anyone who wants to feel safe and comfortable behind the wheel.

Fantastic experience: I have no experience in driving car before joining this school, Rich who is my instructor for 4 classes has given me perfect training which let me pass my test and now able to drive car so confidently, thanks for Anderson school.

Positive experience: I'm giving this business 4 stars because my kids both passed their driving tests through them. The classes are over crowded and the place needs updating but they do what need to in order to get things done.

Fantastic experience: Amazing school with amazing people. I had a very smooth experience with the help of Lima and Rich. Lima was my primary instructor, he not only helped me with driving, but he made the experience fun. Rich helped me on the big day before I took my test. He was helpful and he really calmed my nerves. Passing the test was easier because of them.

Being able to schedule lessons online was very easy and helpful and allowed me to choose which instructors I had for each lesson. Although taking my license test made me nervous, the instructors thoroughly prepared me up until the moment I sat behind the wheel to begin the test. Overall, I recommend Anderson’s!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Anderson’s Driving School. I had the best of experiences with my instructor Lima who helped me immensely. As an adult learner, I had been dealt for years with anxiety and trauma about driving and Lima’s classes helped me overcome a long time personal fear. His non-judgmental and always-positive approach gave me confidence and I passed my first road test a week ago at the age of 38, a great achievement made possible by a great instructor. The scheduling, the staff, the options of bilingual instructors are also highlights.

Fantastic experience: My wife spent one class with Anderson’s Driving School and it was a great experience. Lima was her instructor and he was excellent. He was very patient with her and also told her the things to do during the drivers test. He also is trilingual for those that would feel more comfortable with someone teaching them in their native language.

Fantastic experience: Our 16 year old daughter went through the full program with Anderson's. It was an outstanding experience across the board. She found the classes helpful and the instructors excellent. In particular, Rich spent substantial time with her and was very supportive and "a really good teacher. Easy to understand and learn from". Our daughter passed her road test on the first try, all thanks to Rich.

Fantastic experience: After getting my license today, I would just like to thank my instructor Lima for helping me all the way through! He was my instructor for all driving lessons/observations and really cared about making sure I knew my stuff! He was patient, encouraging, and never failed to make the time for my learning. Fantastic experience: I just passed the road test today. I drove with Lima. He is patient and taught me everything I need to pay attention when I drive. And the secretary is also nice. Since my schedule changes all the time, I often need to call the office to change the time of my driving lesson but she is always patient and tried her best to help me.

Fantastic experience: It's a wonderful driving center. I had this driving instructor named Lima. All instructors are well trained and they teach you patiently, provide useful tips so you can improve. Every class he taught me all the maneuvers and helped me perfect them. Thank you Lima. I took about 7 classes and I passed my driving test smoothly. :) I definitely recommend this place for driving lessons.

Fantastic experience: Anderson's driving school prepared me very well for driving on the roads. I had Rich for most of my driving lessons and I really owe it all to him. Sometimes he could be a tad harsh, but it is only because he sees the potential in his students and aims to push them to their best ability. Because of him and the way he prepared me, I was way more comfortable during my license test than I thought I would be. He always takes you on the practice routes and thoroughly readies you for your test. The best feeling was getting my license, going back into Anderson's, looking Rich in the eye, giving him a fist bump and saying, "I did it, thank you for everything", and him telling me that he knew I would pass and that he believed in me. Rich is a great instructor and led me to be the driver I am today. I highly recommend him and Anderson's Driving School.

Fantastic experience: I started my first lesson as a really nervous and shaky driver. I ended my last lesson as a confident and decisive driver who felt a lot more comfortable behind the wheel. I had Lima for most of my lessons. He taught me a lot and was really helpful. He also wasn’t intimidating and didn’t ridicule me if I made a mistake. Instead, he told me what I did wrong and how I could fix it/avoid it in the future. I definitely recommend taking lessons at Anderson’s.

Fantastic experience: I was a really nervous driver at first and it’s safe to say that I am extremely confident with my skills behind the wheel. I took almost all my lessons with Rich. He’s very informative, organized, and writes down acronyms on your drivers sheet that has and will continue helping me remember important things while driving on the road. Rich cares about all his students, and the fact that he’s tone deaf can be perceived way out of proportion, he really is a phenomenal teacher and is passionate about what he does. I learned so much, and I am really happy with my driving!!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Anderson. They told me and taught me everything I needed to know in order to pass the road test and get my license. I had two great driving instructors. For my first 2 classes I had Lima, who was really calm and great at explaining new concepts to me. For the next 10 classes I had Rich and even though he can be “loud” I’m greatful that I had him because I’m definitely going to be the best driver I can be due to his teaching.

Positive experience: Had a really horrible couple of experiences with one of the instructors before switching to Lima. Lima was very patient with me and used a lot of positive reinforcement to help me learn and assured me i was doing a good job which really helped me a lot. Also really liked that i didnt have to go to the RMV to take my test which was awesome. Passed and got my license last week! Couldn’t have done it without Lima!

Fantastic experience: I went through their entire course and they taught me everything I needed to know to hit the road. My instructor Lima was awesome and very knowledgeable about driving. And Anderson's even had a license instructor come to the school to administer tests so I was able to get my license without having to drive all the way to the RMV. Awesome school

Fantastic experience: I asked the receptionist (Jamie) for Anderson's most patient driving instructor, and they delivered my request with Lima. He is the best instructor who takes the time to get to know both the student, and he caters to the student's learning style. With Lima's teaching, I was able to pass my driving exam on the first try!

Fantastic experience: I took driving lessons with Anderson's Driving School and had a really great experience. My instructor was Lima and he was patient and straightforward with instructions. I had many on-roads with him over the summer and I learned so much. Eventually after a few months of lessons, I passed my road test and got my license! I would highly recommend this driving school and Lima as a driving instructor.

Fantastic experience: My son learned to drive with Anderson's, and now my daughter is a student. She was ill and missed out on being able to complete the classes in a timely manner, but the friendly staff at Anderson's took care of the issue for her with the RMV. Very satisfied customer! 2 months later... My daughter has been learning to drive with Rich and Seth. She finds both instructors to be extremely helpful. They are always on time, very patient and fun! I highly recommend Anderson's Statewide Driving School.

Positive experience: My daughter just got her license through Anderson's. She had to stop driving lessons in the middle due to a medical issue, but the school worked with us on getting her back on track when she was ready. Anytime I had a question and called the office, the lady who answered the phone was always very helpful and polite. My daughter loved her instructor, Lima, and felt that his teaching method was very encouraging and not intimidating. In fact, she requested Lima for all her driving lessons. Overall, we were happy with the experience.

Negative experience: Whatever you do don't take lessons at Andersons. The instructor I had was single-handedly the worst teacher I've ever had. He was conceited, arrogant, impatient and an all around bad person. He constantly berated me for the smallest errors throughout my time learning from my first lesson to the last. Finally on the day of my test during the review before he yelled at me and told me how I was going to fail giving me absolutely zero encouragement. Avoid this place as much as possible.

Negative experience: The instructor Richard tried his best, but he teaches by yelling on you, this is what he knows. Really unappropriate manner to teach.
