Needham Driving School

Positive experience: I was lucky with my instructor Dave. He’s extremely calm and encouraging, very straightforward about his feedback and doesn’t get frustrated. However mind this when buying classes at this school - their schedule is super packed, so the earliest you’ll get a class is after 2 months from the date of booking (unless you are lucky to claim one of the lessons they post daily on twitter - within 20-30 sec they are all claimed). I just think the availability should be available before you pay for the package.

Negative experience: The instructor won’t teach you anything important that will help you pass the road test. Most of the time is spent on driving to the places of parallel parking. Yet, in one hour I only got to do 2 parallel parking. Moreover, the instructor is not being encouraging. They will make you feel you are not prepared for the road test and hope you can pay for more classes. A complete waste of money and time. I have taken three class and I feel very disappointed! Would not recommend.

Negative experience: I am extremely unhappy with the service I received at this driving school. Many of the driving instructors do not provide supportive feedback for the teens to learn from their mistakes. This left my child very unprepared for my driving exam, which they thus failed. Moreover, they were not given feedback as to why they failed the exam. I wrote an email requesting for a retake, where I discovered that it will cost an additional $75 out of pocket. This is extremely upsetting as all of the money I spent on this place did not prepare my child whatsoever.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely loved our experience with Needham Driving School. My daughter is high-functioning autistic and Sharon was her driving instructor. Sharon was so patient and went above and beyond with extra lessons for my daughter. Sharon made sure my daughter was comfortable and confident along the way, always making safety the top priority. My daughter passed her driving test the first time with flying colors. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with scheduling. You could tell they all had a vested interest in how their students were progressing throughout the process. The email reminders were super helpful and it was easy to manage all the details online if needed. We will be coming back to NDS for our two younger children. We wouldn't go anywhere else after this experience. Thank you Paul and Sharon!

Negative experience: Needham driving school has been very disappointing. They make it pretty much impossible to get enough hours to do your road test and it will take you forever unless you are able to be on twitter every second of the day. Its really an awful system they have up right now and I've heard of much better ones done by other driving schools in the area. Also one driving instructor Dionna made it the worst experience I've ever had in a driving lesson. She did manage to teach me nothing and only made driving for that hour harder and miserable after howing up late to pick me up.
