Once I got my permit, I came here and took a bunch of driving classes, took my test at the school, and got my license mailed to me without having to step into the DMV. The staff are all very nice, friendly and helpful. Website is pretty convenient and any issues are resolved quickly. The driving instructors can be dry at times but they're mostly cool. The big guy with the accent is very condescending and talks way too much. If you get stuck with him, make sure to use the website to make sure you can get a different driver. You'll know who he is. Other than him, everything was perfect.

Fantastic experience: I had lessons with Jonathan Bufithis and Nicole Holley. They are both very good. Jonathan is direct and tough and gives very effective advice. Nicole is nice and encouraging and careful about safe driving.

Negative experience: If I could give a zero, I would. Michelle is incredibly rude, dismissive and incapable of doing her job. When she does not have answers she will no longer communicate with you, may even hang up. It is a shame because the school was recommended when we signed up but from what I understand is no longer being recommended to drivers and now I see why. She even went so far as to say the owner will not speak to you, he will expect me to fix the mistakes and I can't. Really leaves the customer in a helpless situation. Lots of time wasted.

Fantastic experience: William Valenton was my instructor and he was incredibly patient, kind, informative, professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain things, shared best practice tips for driving, taking the test and overall how to handle the road. He made himself available if I had any questions and even helped me when I wasn’t able to retrieve my certificate of completion. He’s a very good instructor and would absolutely recommend. (I passed my road exam on the first try, thank you William!)

Negative experience: The worst driving school!! I reported an incident involving a driver, but I never received any follow-up from the school.The service provided was far from satisfactory.

Negative experience: The worst driving school ever!!! Please, do not go there if you want to save your money and nervous. I’ve purchased 8 hour classes online and after setting up the portal the system doesn’t let me enroll in classes! I’m trying to reach them out for a week already they never respond phone call nor email. I wish I could’ve go to another driving school, but I’ve spend $150 in terrible school. So I’ve got to continue to lose my time and patience trying to reach these guys! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!!

Fantastic experience: We had some setbacks with my son-- he failed his drivers test twice. But upon calling them, they offered a free on-road lesson with the supervisor. This did the trick--he passed the next time. They went above and beyond to enable our son to pass. We did have some administrative issues with things, but they are small in comparison to the support they offered my son in his real time of need. This is our third child who's went to school here. Two were before COVID and had in-person classes, while our son had online. There's no reason not to do the online classes--and they were significantly less expensive.

Fantastic experience: Driving instructor William Valenton knows what he is doing. I took the test at DMV Danbury. William is not only concern of me passing the road test but also being safe on the road. He even reply to my questions during his non working hours. During the classes at High Ridge, he was great at teaching me how to be a safe and correct driver on the road, while also raising my confidence in my driving abilities.

Negative experience: The Ukranian driving instructor is absolutely terrible. Really rude, shouts at the student, not patient nor is he kind. He shouldn’t be teaching anyone to drive. He makes the student nervous and uncomfortable, who can learn under these conditions? Go somewhere else. Took my family to The Next street, and the EZ stop in Stamford, much better experience.

From the very beginning, the instructors have shown their expertise in teaching new drivers how to be safe on the road. They are knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and their teaching methods are effective in building confidence and skill behind the wheel. My daughter felt at ease from the first lesson, which is a testament to the instructors' ability to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment. Throughout the lessons, they provide clear and constructive feedback, and they are always willing to answer any questions that arise. Overall, I am extremely happy with them. I am confident that she is well-prepared for her upcoming road test.

He taught our daughter about safety and efficiency in handling a vehicle in traffic, on the highway, parking and more. Plus, everything a student driver needs to demonstrate to the DMV that you are a well trained and knowledgeable new driver who can not only pass the DMV tests, but enter the community of safe and considerate drivers. Fantastic experience: I called High Ridge driving school on behalf of my boyfriend who does not speak English. I called to ask for a copy of his certificate being that he took the course back in 2017. Brian was very patient, kind, and helpful. He was able to find his certificate and send it to my boyfriend in no time.

Fantastic experience: This driving school is very good. The instructor I'm using is calm and knowledgeable which gives me confidence on the road. The lessons are extremely immersive and realistic. I would recommend this school to new learners and anyone looking to freshen up their skills. The school is also accomodating and flexible with scheduling.

Fantastic experience: After some research and many recommendations, we chose High Ridge Driving School for our daughter a few years ago and were very happy with their service. Now that is time for our son to start his training, we have decided to use them again, not only because of their experience, but for their great costumer service as well.

Negative experience: Not professional school, don’t waste your money especially now for online classes. Their explanations is very poor, you will call them more then ones and they still won’t explain you what you have to do. Pretty much pay us on time, be on class on time, but we don’t really care if you will figure out how to log in to class and what you paper work you have to fill to be in our class. And if you few minutes late, they will just Throw you out from online class and say, oh you late. Oh we don’t have to explain to you, everything was in your email! Really and this is owner of the school talking to his clients like this?! Good luck in your business!!!

Fantastic experience: Both of my children have gone through this school. The instructors are amazing. I had Some questions and was a little worried about something and the way the office staff treated me was like i was Their one and only customer. I’m truly thankful and wouldn’t trust my kids to just anyone. However, this school has shown me it’s about more than business.

Positive experience: I really don't like leaving bad reviews but seems like the only way that I can get in touch with someone here. I been emailing Trip since October so I can get my certification for the 8 hour safety course and no response, this was in October and yet we are in December and I haven't been able to take my driving test since I don't have the certification for the class. Edit: Trip got my back to me today through email.

SOME OF THE INSTRUCTORS LIKE FREDDY CADET AND KEITH ARE REALLY NICE AND GOOD AT TEACHING STUDENTS HOW TO DRIVE. THEN YOU HAVE BAD DRIVING INSTRUCTORS LIKE (ANDRIY KHOMYK) UNFORTUNATELY I WAS PLACED WITH HIM. HE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. INSTEAD OF HELPING YOU HE WOULD BE VERY INPATIENT, RUDE, AND HAVE THE STUDENTS FEELING DISCOURAGED. MY EXPERIENCE WITH HIM WAS BAD. HE DESERVES TO BE FIRED. THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME WAS THAT I HAD A CLOSE TO NOTHING SLIM CHANCE ON PASSING THE ROAD TEST. I TOOK THAT AS FUEL. PRACTICE A LOT THROUGHOUT THE MONTHS. TOOK MY DRIVERS TEST YESTERDAY AND PASSED WITH COLORS . SHOUT OUT TO KEITH FOR BEING AN AMAZING ROAD TEST INSTRUCTOR. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE.

Negative experience: Firstly, this is one of the more expensive institutes out there to take any driving course. I applied to take the drug and alcohol safety course and they charged me $125 while some other schools in Stamford charge $100. Moreover, they do not inform you that they operate in 2 different locations in the city. I am new to Stamford and when I booked my uber, it took me to their 992 high ridge road location at 9am. However, seeing nobody there, I called their number for help but no one answered. I quickly took another uber and reached their 500 summer street location 10 mins late from the scheduled time. Without listening to what I had to say, they refused to let me into the class. I asked them that if I book another class will I get some discount considering that I just paid $125 and due to some error I missed the class. They refused and by their attitude I could tell they just wanted me to leave asap. I had a terrible experience here. Very rude and unsympathetic staff.

Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience here. I was struggling to get my license for a while and they made it really easy for me. They teach great techniques for the road test and make sure you are aware of what proctors look for on the test. You can either take your driving test at the school or they can even take you to the dmv! Definitely worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: Struggled to get my license for years but this place did the trick. Professional staff and fair prices for the area. I have driven with Brian as well as Fred and I would highly recommend either of them, especially if you are an anxious driver like me! The instructors are amazingly helpful and informative. Fantastic experience: They were extremely helpful towards me! I came I. With a 5 year old permit, and needed a new certificate due to a DMV issue. They dropped everything they were doing, and checked every system dated back 5 years, all so I can take my test in 2 days!

Negative experience: They take your money and they don't tell you when the parent needs to come the first two hours were the last two hours the owner Ron was unhelpful

Negative experience: I just completed my 8 hour classroom of drug and alcohol related classroom session last Sunday. - It's a school with functional systems, rules/protocols, clean classrooms, and some good people. - They understand if you need to reschedule or if you need to make last minute adjustments. But overall I wouldn't recommend going here if you are looking for a professional and clean classroom experience. An 8 hour long class isn't fun on a Sunday. Some tutors make jokes to help manage the monotonic nature of the session. But sometimes they REALLY cross the line. It might seem abusive to some people. If you are one who cares about decency please look for a another school even if you are paying slightly higher price. The first 4 hour session good. Paul seemed like a nice person to listen to. There's a teacher - Mr. Smith. If you see your class is being scheduled with him - PLEASE look to reschedule. - He would constantly complain about his BOSS, who came up with the material for classroom (I thought it was good). - He would complain about his personal life. - He would complain about the American system. And how he is being targeted by police. - He would make racial comments against some communities. - He would teach you to break speed limits when you are driving. - He thinks honking and tailgating are good techniques. - Overall - he is a rude, abusive, wannabe funny person. And I do not care, it's his problem. Some people are probably okay with that kind of attitude. - But I wouldn't want to pay for those classrooms either if I'm getting lessons from him. This school is getting 2 stars because other people were nice and PROFESSIONAL. (to me the most important aspect I look for when I'm paying for something). Good luck..

Positive experience: The first session of the drug and alcohol class on Saturday was fun and went by fast with Mr. Smith. Today the instructor in my second session, Latoya, found it funny to make several rape jokes during the class. Here are her exact words "Who wants to go to jail and get raped?" in order to make it seem as if that would happen if we were to drink and drive. and at the end of the class she assumed an appropriate way to say goodbye was "Girls don't get raped." which was cross the borderline offensive.

Positive experience: I've been driving for at least a decade, and the adult course was a great refresher and very informative. The course just updated their videos and the instructors help to keep the class engaged throughout the course using personal experiences. I had one small incident, and was able to get in touch with one of the owner's without hesitation who helped me fix the problem! Overall great course and staff is very helpful!

It was such an excellent experience that I want to let others know. Scheduling was easy, instructors were excellent and personable and Liam is a fine driver. Do not hesitate to use this outfit.
