Karons Driving School

Positive experience: I did my class January 13 till 25th I believe and I still don’t have received a call about my behind the wheel. It’s been over two months very disappointed.

Negative experience: I have not had a good experience with this company. I am almost upset that we waisted money. The two week training course was perfect. However, when it comes to taking the students out to drive, that is where the issue lies. My son was only scheduled twice to drive on the street. His father had to contact the driving school, because there was no communication. Finally, someone returned his call, and said that my son would be able to go driving last week (the week of 9/22/24). The instructor called and needed to reschedule.(okay fine). He was scheduled to go driving with the instructor today(10/5/24) at 9am. When we arrived, no one was there, there is no contact phone number or anything. My son's learners' expires next week. The instructor has to sign a document, in order for him to take his road test. He started driving school in July of 2024, and this process is not completed.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my experience with Ms.Shirley. One of the best teachers I had. Very engaging.Very sweet. Easy to learn from. Great Driving School.

Negative experience: They dont call back, and when I did the PRACTICE behind the wheel training the FIRST time, I was told “I wasn’t ready” and they never called me back. Mind you the lady told me I had come to driving school already knowing how to drive…HOW DOES THAT WORK??? My driving wasn’t even bad bc I was finally getting the hang of it and they were supposed to be TEACHING me. This was well over a year ago and I’m STILL playing phone tag with them, and even went up there and they were closed. I went to go get my license because I still learned how to drive (no thanks to them) and I still graduated from the program and was told I couldn’t get it because they never put in my driving hours. I’m still trying to get in contact with them so I can do the rest of my “behind the wheel” practice and get my license. I tried to call today and the number is disconnected and the number on their Facebook page is to a BARBER SHOP. Very over it.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the classroom instruction. Ms.Shirley is a teacher that makes think about the things you wouldn't think about happening & very informative.

Positive experience: I attended Karon's Driving School from August 28, 2023 to September 8, 2023. I am currently waiting for a call back for the behind the wheel portion of the program. However, my class instructor Ms. Shirley was a delight to have learned Maryland's driving rules from. She's efficient and attentive to any questions one may have.

Fantastic experience: I attended Karon’s Driving school on July 17-28th for drivers education. My instructor was Ms Shirley she was amazing and made all of the material simply and easy to understand. Ms. Shirley made sure to reteach and explain in detail every aspect of driving and what is expected of us as drivers. I truly appreciate her passion for her job and all the new information I received. Thank you Ms. Shirley for being professional and supportive.

Negative experience: Had two kids go through this driving school and even referred a few parents here for their new drivers. One of my daughters got in a bad accident and needed proof of completing driving to be able to go through a course in rehab and this place wouldn’t return calls and emails for weeks. Then finally called me back, promising to email me her records and never did. Now won’t return calls and emails all over again.

Negative experience: Don’t get me wrong i really liked working and learning with Ms. Shirley but it’s the actual drivers which they don’t even have fr & people spend they money just to not have the “most important” part about even going to driving school. it’s been almost 2 months and drivers keep canceling on my behind the wheel courses.

Negative experience: I have called repeatedly and even went up to the school and no one has ever answered or returned any of my phone calls or voice messages. I have been trying to do behind the wheel road test for months.

Negative experience: Everything good until it’s time for you to do the behind the wheel. It’s once a week. Sometimes they don’t even call you. They lie to you about you having to need a parking break in the middle console for the vehicle to be eligible for you to take the drivers test in. They want you to spend a extra 150 to rent a car for no reason. So they gone tell you your vehicle can’t have this or that. I went to the MVA all they said was your engine check light can’t be on. It took me a little over a month to complet a 2 weeks course.

Negative experience: Hands down the worst driving school. Very unprofessional, I went to go take my test at the mva after I finished my 2 week course at this driving school and the mva told me that the driving school never sent over my information. I’ve been trying to get in touch with Ms.Sherly for the last 4 months and still no response. I finished this course almost a year ago and they have yet to send my information over. I highly don’t recommend this driving school !

Fantastic experience: I LOVE MS. SHIRLEY she is the best as a person and a educator. She takes her time, she makes sure you understand everything. I was nervous when I first came in because it was my first time in driving school, but when Ms. Shirley greeted us and started talking to us and educating us I immediately felt relaxed, normally I would be nervous to speak out in a class and read in a class but I was the total opposite. THIS DRIVING SCHOOL IS WORTH YOUR MONEY AND TIME PLEASE GO TO KARONS DRIVING SCHOOL IT IS A 5 STAR ITS CLEAN MS. SHIRLEY WILL BE YOUR EDUCATOR AND SHE IS FUN, FUNNY AND A GOOD EDUCATOR. MAKE SURE ANYONE READING THIS WHEN YOU GO TO THIS DRIVING SCHOOL BE READY AND MATURE BECAUSE MS. SHIRLEY IS SERIOUS ABOUT EDUCATING YOU ABOUT WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW SO SHE NEEDS YOU TO WANT TO KNOW AND WANT TO LEARN.

Fantastic experience: Nothing but a great experience. Instructors are the best.

Negative experience: Was told that my stuff was going to to sent to the mva and I can go a head and Schedule my appointment, I waited 3 weeks just to give them time to make sure my stuff was sent over and Today April 16th 2021 waited in line at the MVA to take my road test and was turned around because the driving school never submitted my stuff saying I completed the course. The is very dissatisfying because now I gotta hunt someone down at the school to find out what happened and wait until Late June to try and take my road test again. Which is putting me at a down because I was giving a job offer and I needed to make sure I had at least my provisionals to keep the job. Such a major set back. The other part is now I can’t even get someone to pick up the phone so we can fix the problem, nobody answers the phone. Thanks Karon’s driving school.

Fantastic experience: Karons driving school is place where they say what they mean and mean what the say. They celebrate not only the young, but the middle-age as well. Great instructions came out of this institution and I can say that they assisted me on getting my drivers license and there rates are second to none. I promote this institution not only for our teens but all ages and don't be ashamed bad things happen to good people and speaking for the middle-age we're too old to be relying on others for rides and taking public transportation. Fantastic experience: This has to be one of the best driving schools. Small classes, excellent instructors, great pricing, an there student car is really nice. I am a graduate an have my license because of Ms. Keyona an Ms. Chappelle. These instructors make the process smooth. They not about the money. They want you on the road. An they have strategies that will guarantee you'll pass the drivers course on the first try. They are firm but they will work with each individual directly. No one is left behind at this school.
