This course was challenging but Terry really made it approachable and ensured that our class passed. I would highly recommend this course, and you’d be lucky to have Terry as your instructor !

Fantastic experience: They say lightning usually does not strike twice. However, in my son’s case it does. At 14 ½ he had a great driving instructor. Fast forward to being 15 ½ and taking ABATE of Colorado’s Motorcycle Safety Training course. Due to my son’s learning disability, I was able to sit in the class with him and WOW what an AMAZING experience. Terry Lee was our instructor! There are not enough words to describe Terry. Caring, Fun, Compassionate, Stupendous on a motorcycle, and overall, the gem of ABATE of Colorado Motorcycle safety! Terry strives to make the class fun, which makes all participants want to learn! While on the range, he explains the parties (ok, they are really called exercises) in a way that all riders have a firm foundation of what is expected. I know it weighs heavy on Terry’s heart and mind when a rider needs to be counselled; however, he wants to make sure all riders are always safe. I am blessed beyond words that my son was able to learn from Terry. Please, if you are thinking about riding, please contact ABATE and make sure to get a class taught by Terry Lee BEFORE you set out! You will NOT be disappointed. He makes the class fun, however, his number 1 priority is safety!

I learned so much, had many opportunities to practice new skills with direct personal coaching from a great mentor, Lee. I started this course with zero motorcycle experience and a lot of nerves, but her enthusiasm and positive energy immediately put me at ease. It was clear from the start how much she loves both riding and teaching. Her passion is contagious, making the learning experience so enjoyable. Jordan is a real expert and ensures that you understand everything you need to know to ace the test at the end of the course. She's patient and approachable, and never once did I feel like I was asking a silly question. At the same time, she is firm when it comes to correcting dangerous mistakes, that are crucial for safety. (I promise I’m not hovering the front brake anymore, Jordan!!!!) I wholeheartedly recommend her class to any beginner. I’m thrilled to have passed, but I’m also a bit sad it’s over because it was so much fun. 10/10 would definitely do it again! Felt confident enough after passing to purchase my first bike to continue learning, thank you Jordan!

Fantastic experience: Recently did the 2 day beginner course, and was amazed how much I learned in 2 days. Our instructor was Jordan, who was super chill and was very clear with instructions, and an older gentleman named Whiff who super knowledgeable and a very patient easy going instructor. I went from zero experience on motorcycles beyond some basic youtube research in advance, and by the end I was comfortable and riding a bike in various maneuvers. The class is dope, you get your money's worth.

Fantastic experience: Jordan is an amazing beginner course instructor! She's very clear with directions and corrections as well as positive reinforcement; engaging every student individually. I had made an offset compliment about how it may be her voice that made me absorb all she was teaching but it was really the kindness in her voice. Jordan genuinely wants you to succeed as a rider! Fantastic experience: I took the two day beginner course recently, and the instructor, Jordan, was great! She was knowledgeable, kind, and energetic! We spent nearly the entire time on motorcycles. The days were hot, especially being out on the payment in gear, but Jordan had a great attitude and overall created a very welcoming and comfortable environment.

Fantastic experience: I had a motorcycle license in New York but when I moved to a different state, the DMV didn't transfer my license over. Eventually I made my way to Colorado and decided to take the course to get an endorsement. Best decision I could have made going with the ABATE Basic Rider Course in Fort Collins! The RiderCoach, Tiffany, was super informative and her instructional style was very engaging! She was able to help me relearn some maneuvers that I haven't practiced in close to 10 years while also helping me break bad habits that I developed after I had first gotten my license. All of this while also teaching 7 other students in the case who had varying levels of experience on a motorcycle! I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in getting an M endorsement to go through ABATE and specifically in Fort Collins!

Fantastic experience: Amazing! Went in as someone who couldn't ride, left as someone who could, all within 24hrs. Make no mistake, this is not a BS, easy course. You will grow a lot, but you willl have to work for it. Listening to feedback and following instructions is key. On the flip side, these guys are kind, helpful motorcycle Gods. If you're not feeling solid, they will absolutely try their best to get you there. They WANT you to feel good, have fun and pass.

With unending patience, they taught me, at 73 years young, who has never been on a motorcycle, to truly get enthusiastic about learning more. From trepidation to exhilaration & everything in between in a two day introduction course was exceptionally rewarding. Do I need many more hours of on the bike training? Absolutely! These two instructors got me excited to learn and looking forward to riding. My wife, (who also took the course), and I have ordered small 230 dual sport bikes.
