Negative experience: Save Yourself from the Headache Mr Young is great for the classroom portion learning part when trying to complete your 6 hours behind wheel with instructor THINGS WILL BECOME A PROBLEM . FYI when trying to contact the office they dont pick up phones they love texting you on the day of your drivinh session to confirm appointments but dont sit there and wait to hear from them days before or IF YOU REACH OUT TO THEM YOU WILL GET NO RESPONSE words from owner to me “ IT IS NOT MY JOB TO CALL AND CONFIRM APPOINTMENTS “ save yourself the headache and try elsewhere unless you already know how to drive and just looking for someone to give you the run around

Negative experience: Mr. Young is great. But when it come time for the 6 hours behind the wheel I’ve had nothing but problems. I’ve been trying to call for a while now and this week no one will answer the phones! How am I supposed to schedule the driving lessons when no one answers!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing school, Ms. Shirley young is truly a great teacher , she’s very kind and fun and patient, she’s makes driving very good and easy for you , makes great conversation so you can not think too much into how nervous you are on your first day , i Truly enjoyed my time with genesis driving school , And Ms.Shirley , thank you so much for an awesome experience ❤️

Negative experience: terrible owner very rude and unprofessional please do not register here. Will be contacting the MVA hopefully they close this horrible place. Owner acts very childish. all the good rating and comments are published by staff members. HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR

Negative experience: After you pay your money, things get unorganized and unprofessional. Learning is self-motivated, if you want to learn how to drive this is not the school to go to. The expectation is that you learn before you go and you just going there so you can get the certificate. Find a real driving school and don't waste your time and money!

Negative experience: The classes instructed by Mr. Young were perfect. However, everything proceeded to go downhill when it was time for the behind-the-wheel training. My driving instructor was Mrs.Young who I believe is the owner of the school. While finding a parking lot for me to practice in, she was on her phone trying to promote a cookbook that she has on Amazon while driving asking me if I know someone that could use her cookbook to lose weight. When we finally made it to a parking lot, I only had around a good 30 minutes of driving around the lot. I was very inexperienced at the time but I don’t believe that gave her the right to yell at me throughout the short time we spent in the area. On the way back, she picked up another person that she would instruct next even though only one student is permitted to be in a car with an instructor while learning. When she was taking me back home, she was on her phone again trying to get me to subscribe to her YouTube channel where she talks about the Bible. After that experience, I contacted her for a refund. She claimed that because my driving class payment was in a bundle ($395), I was only able to get around $60 back even though I only completed the 9 units and 1 behind-the-wheel training that wasn’t even 2 hours… At the end of the day, I’m just glad that I was able to transfer to another school and get my certificate. If you’re interested in enrolling in this school, you won’t have any problems with Mr.Young for the classroom segment but you will if Mrs. Young is supposed to instruct you so it’s not worth it.

Negative experience: The driving teacher was unprofessional, teaching my daughter driving back parking just one time and then no more ( she doesn't not bag parking) the class it supposed to last hour and half this teacher in last class time was just 35 minutes Very unprofessional

Negative experience: This maybe the worst driving school in Maryland !!!!!!!! The teacher Ms.Young acts childish like she has a disability she is very controlling, classes are now online and she tries to tell you what you can and can not do in the comfort of your own home. Penalizes you for the smallest things such as using the restroom during class, not being at home during class, and leaving your home during break time, just so she can kick you out of the course and keep your money. The woman who sits in the office to answer the phone is very short and disrespectful, they do not answer the phone until you call about 30 times, and I feel like they are just calling their self a driving school to get peoples money but kick you out every chance they get, to keep your money also Ms.Young is very unprofessional if you are writing in your book to take notes she assumes your not paying attention and puts you on blast infront of the entire class! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Genesis Driving School was such a great experience ! Mr. Johnson did not only make learning comprehensive but he made it fun. I looked forward to coming to class the next day. Mrs. Waters was my driving instructor for my behind the wheel test ... she was patient and taught me all of her tips. THANK YOU GENESIS DRIVING SCHOOL!

Fantastic experience: I loved my classes at Genesis Driving School. All my interactions with the staff, was 100%. Mrs. Waters is the awesome owner of the school, and I am so grateful she has this business to share with us. Mr. Johnson was the best and has a genuine passion for what he does. I feel like I was in the best class ever. We learned a lot and had an amazing time learning. Now that we have completed our 30hrs of classroom studies... Negative experience: My daughter took classes back in the beginning of October, she just now completed her driving portion. This is/has been completely unacceptable and attempting to call and inquire about it has been so awful. The lady who answers the phone is so short and disrespectful as if we (parents) has something to do with whatever issues she was experiencing at the time. I am very dissatisfied with the level of professionalism received at this school and the mannerism in how the business is conducted. My daughter did say that the classroom portion was good, however everything else after was terrible. They are in desperate need of improvement.

Positive experience: My son took the classes in 2019. I believe the instruction was adequate but the driving is the problem. Apparently they don't have enough drivers. He should have had his license by now but can't because they don't have enough deivers, which is disappointing

AMAZING teacher! and instructors! I most definitely recommend this driving school to the new drivers! Ohh I forgot to mention... I was Nervous to enter a highway so I would never practice learning how to enter one but genesis driving instructor taught me how to enter and exit a highway! I feel way better now! Honestly I was to scared to drive, I hated it but now I’m very comfortable!! Don’t be a dummy and miss out on GENESIS DRIVING SCHOOL! Fr!

Fantastic experience: Very classy and respectful. The in-class instructor and my driving instructor are the best. I learned how to park in minutes, and it feels like I have been doing it, parking, forever. Genesis is highly recommended.

Mr.Stokes was extremely informative & funny. And Ms.Waters was patient, kind and someone with a goody energy about them. Positive experience: The in class portion of this driving school is good, but when it comes to on the road lessons there is a bit of a problem. My driving school time dated from the end of November to beginning of December. I was eligible to receive my provisional driver’s license in December. My original on the road appointments were dated January 18th, January 30th, and February 12th; which was fine. On january 30th there was incelement weather therefore my lesson got cancelled; which is also fine. My mother then called Mrs. Waters to ask when I could get that lesson rescheduled. Ultimately, my last two lessons ended up getting moved to March 24rh, and April 6th. I think it is unfair and extremely frustrating to have to wait 4 months to complete only 6 hours of driving time. If you are anxious to get your license, I WOULD NOT recommend Genesis Driving School.

Negative experience: My daughter didn't get the promised driving time. Her time was always split between two additional students in the car. She even drove to pick up other students and her instructor was hungry, so she was instructed to go to the drive thru at a restaurant. My daughter said the driving instructor was always on her phone. Please contact Google, I my receipts. My daughter was a student two years ago. Facts are facts.

Fantastic experience: They are very patient and understood they take their time to actually work with you and all of the instructors are reallly nice

Negative experience: Not happy with my time here. My instructor Mrs.Waters was a bit rude. She told me I was “making things harder than what they were” when really I just needed extra help. That’s not what you tell someone who paid $350 for driving school. Second, she didn’t set up cones for me since it was “too cold”. Also, I felt as if she wasn’t very attentive to me. She would point out and ask me why did I make a mistake and then ask me if I made a mistake. Which is a bit alarming because you are supposed to be paying attention to me as the “instructor”. Mr. Stokes was the only good thing about this driving school.

Fantastic experience: This businesses owner is fantastic. She takes the time to explain the school's policies and processes which makes it much easier to understand. Moreover, she is personable, professional, and cares about her customer's experience. My family and I would like to say, thank you so much for your manner and for uplifting us and our community, be blessed!

Negative experience: I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE. This is such a waste of my time and money. As if the useless class sessions were boring enough. This is not worth it. I had my driving appointments cancelled 4 times within 4 month span. Each time it was cancelled it was some stupid excuse and I had to wait longer just to get my driving hours finished. If there is a number in which I can report this school anyone please let me know because paying $350 for this driving school is the worst investment you will ever make in your life. The only good thing about this driving school is Mr.Stokes because he is an excellent instructor and actually takes his time teaching students the proper way to drive instead of talking unnecessarily the entire ride.

My son told me that the driving instructor is very nice and talked him through the necessary steps and things to look for when teaching him to drive and park. Everyone can't teach because they lack the patience and necessary skills to articulate to various learning levels but Genesis nailed it! I want to say thanks because my son had become quite discouraged with my antics while trying to teach him to drive. Thanks a million Genesis Driving School.

My name is Amayah and I went to this driving school for the full two weeks and not only did I get my license the very next month, but I gained so much value here it's insane. Shout out to Ms. Shippel!! All of the instructors there are amazing people but I was blessed and fortunate to have Ms. Shippel as mine. She really wants to see you succeed not just in driving school but in life, I thank God for meeting her. I could go on and on about how special this place is and the people, but it will be better for you to just go yourself!

Fantastic experience: It took me FOREVER to go to driving school but I'm glad that I went with Genesis. Mr. Stokes and Mrs. Waters were absolutely amazing and they actually took their time to make sure you knew what you were doing, in the classroom and behind the wheel. I keep seeing comments about the wait time to get behind the wheel being too long, well it was stated in class that if your availability is open it would be easier to get it done...I took my class in May and I was supposed to be done in 2 weeks earlier, but life happens and some things had to be changed but I got it done, they made sure I got it done. Negative experience: the wait to go on the road for the actual driving lessons is way too long. i have to wait until middle august to just get 3 days of lessons & let me add that they are only 2 hours everyday for those three days. don't go to this school.

Positive experience: I gave 3 stars for the informative classes and the driving instruction was great. I was dissatisfied due to long waits between classes & on the road driving appointments. Before scheduling the class for my son, I specifically asked about the length of wait for the driving instruction after classroom part was completed. I also explained to the company's representative that my son had a job beginning the end of July that required he have a driver's license by then. I was reassured that the driving portion would be assigned no more than 2 weeks after the classes end & my son would have his certificate of completion by July. But when an instructor arrived in class to schedule driving appointments, she stated that did not have available time sooner than 7-8 weeks out!! Absolutely a contradiction to what we were told before registering for this class. It is unjust to pay your non refundable fees under false information received. I would like to suggest to the company to make sure that all employees (especially the phone consultant) are properly informed of current wait times as to not jeopardize the integrity of the driving school.

Negative experience: I just want to clear up something with the general public and any driving school which the managers of the school may not tell you. If you coming from the Caribbean and you have a valid license you may not need a driving school. Please do your research. My nephew spoke to an agent at the MVA but he did not mention he had a valid license from Grenada so he was told to take the 2 week class but at the end he still had to do a drug test online then a test at a given location and the drivers written test at the MVA and there was no need for the 2 week class. Look up Kelly 3 hour Drug test.
