Negative experience: imoni is a very rude driving instructor. Please listen to the other reviews on her ! She has no patience , and her tone is very rude. it can be very confusing and frustrating especially to a new driver. spend your money at 1st stop driving academy . it’s cheaper and the customer service there is amazing.

Fantastic experience: The risk reduction class was very informative , the instructor was very knowledgeable as well as respectful. In addition she attended to all of questions and concerns. I would recommend A-1 driving school to anyone who needs the service

Fantastic experience: It was an amazing experience. The team was very straight forward from the beginning. The instructor kept the engagement of the class and allowed us to ask questions as needed. She even ensured we all passed the final by pointing out what will be on test.

Negative experience: do not waste your time, energy or money. this company has a great lack of communication, ethics and professionalism. they took my money, cancelled on me twice and then came late to my scheduled appointment. 1) first time i got cancelled on because the driver “had a long day” 2) because of the “weather” when it was dry outside (attached pictures of outside) 3) coming 15-20 minutes because his baby was crying & screaming ….. i emailed the company asking for a refund or compensation and i haven’t recieve a response back at all. im inserting receipts with this post because it is ridiculous. don’t spend your money here. go to GA 1st stop driving academy!!!! they’re cheaper and BETTER. & i would like to add, KAMORA from customer service sucks. she is QUICK to say “i cant hear you that well, can you call back” or go on mute. i got connected with her like 3 times and she always seemed to have a connection issue. DO BETTERRRRR

Negative experience: They had a student driver out doing driving school at 8am during rush hour in Stockbridge yesterday! This student driver had a line of atleast 20 cars behind them, some of the cars were passing on a double yellow lines because of how extremely slow the car was going! The company and the parent needs to do better for a driver that is learning, 8am Monday thru Friday is NOT the time to be on the roads learning to drive in an already very congested county!

Negative experience: Imani Hines is very rude and unprofessional. She talked to me any kind of way. She has no patience. I didn’t spend all this money to be talk to like a child. Do not go to her.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Joel was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, insightful and patient! He did a great job making sure we knew the material and made sure everyone was heard and every question answered! The atmosphere and conversation was easy going and even fun at times. Way to go Mr. Joel! Keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: My daughter LOVED working with Imani to help prepare her for her driver's test. Imani was patient, easy to work with, and allowed her to feel comfortable for the test. A1 even gives you the option to do the test with them, and it was nice that Imani was both her instructor and evaluator for the test.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience practice driving again with Ms. Shavoka Conger. She was patient, yet firm and very knowledgeable about the rules of the road and taking your time while driving while being aware of your surroundings at all times. Shavoka is very kind and sweet yet she displays the right amount of assertiveness in order for you to be confident when driving. Thank you Shavoka for instilling me the confidence and knowledge I need when driving. A-1 driving school is definitely worth it especially when you have a phenomenal instructor such as Shavoka Conger!!!! Choose her y'all!!

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent time here with an amazing instructor, Shavoka Conger! She taught me everything down to the T and she was very patient, attentive and kind while also being firm and making sure I knew what I was doing. If I could do it all over again she would definitely be my selection again! I just got my license today, so here’s to all future parents of little ones wanting to get their license: GO SHAVOKA CONGER! She will get you right

Fantastic experience: The driving instructor Sharon Wilson-Johnson is very professional and makes driving very easy for new drivers like me. i liked the way she explained in depth about the driving and parking techniques and now i can drive much better.

Negative experience: The customer service representative is RUDE as hell. I called too cancel my son’s driving service because their time didn’t match up with what we needed and that was okay but the lady who I spoke with as a very NASTY and RUDE attitude! If you don’t like your job! Find something else! Customer service is always first priority! Damn!

Fantastic experience: Joel is a wonderful instructor. Whenever the class didn't understand something he didn't get frustrated. He wasn't judgemental. He encouraged us to participate,even though we were in a virtual class. I went into the class with the attitude of "I know this but let me get it over with." By the second day I was actually learning things I didn't know. I also learned a bit about myself during this course. That to me was the best take a way.

Fantastic experience: My instructor Audrey was an amazing instructor!!! She took her time with me and went over all the steps to parallel and reverse parking without being frustrated! I really enjoyed her and I definitely recommend her!

Negative experience: Imani Hines is a very rude instructor, she made a issue about 5 things, 1.) She told me I had to wear a mask and stated “You know you are supposed to have one on” Mind you there was no sign on the door or wall stating masks was mandatory in the building. 2.) She told me she called me multiple times regarding my road test appointment, mind you, I have been receiving multiple scam calls from non Georgia Area codes for the past week and I asked her politely “what was your number?” She told me 313 etc and I had told her that that number has only called me once and she repeated herself in a rude manner stating “No I didn’t I called you multiple times” and I told her No you did not, I am looking at my call logs right now and the number has only called once. I told her I didn’t know because of how many numbers has been calling me lately and she got even more rude by stating “I doesn’t matter, If you know you have appointments you need to be calling these numbers back and that Im not about to debate with you”. 3.) As I was doing my road test she told me to stop the car as I was doing my back in reverse park and she told me I was too close to the right side ,even thought the mirrors didn’t touch or hit any cones. After I asked if I could fix it, she said no since its a Road test which I was completely okay with, the issue I had during that part is the fact that she had the nerves to tell me “Do you see the car hanging out, you never want your car hanging out don’t do this” as if I was the one who purposely stopped the car in the middle of me bagging into the spot. 4.) When I was driving she was on her phone multiple times and I checked my blind spot when she was on her phone and she told me “Check your blind spots”, I said I did check it and she told me “No you did not if your head didn’t go over your shoulder you didn’t”, mind you I am way taller than this woman and can see a lot more than what she can from my seat. 5.) Again as I was doing my road test she told me in a rudely manner, “The speed limit is 45 thats the only time ima tell you so you need to look outside and check for yourself”, I was doing 35mph, as I was accelerating to 45mph safety she told me “The speed limit is 45” as in “Do 45” which I was literally safely doing which I guess wasn’t fast enough to her liking. Afterwards I just followed where she wanted me to go and just kept to myself and didn’t engage in any more conversations with her I did indeed pass my road test though which thankfully I did. Overall my experience was not a 10 with this lady she needs to retire or take a chill pill because comparing other negative reviews of this lady with my personal experience, I will say they are %100 true please do not do your test with this lady at all go elsewhere or ask for another instructor.

Fantastic experience: Ms.Conger was MORE than a helping hand. She was very patient and thoroughly explained how and why I would be crooked when driving. She always explained everything in detail and left nothing out. She was a GREAT instructor. 10/10, I would DEFINITELY reccomend her. Please have her as your instructor, I promise you will NOT regret it.

Fantastic experience: I just completed a driving lesson with Ms.Shavoka. She was very kind and understanding.Let’s you know when you’ve made a mistake in a non rude way and she also teaches you to correct that mistake. She gives you as many chances as you need to correct on your parking. Ms.Shavoka was very informative with driving tips if you didn’t know something in particular. Over all she was very helpful and a great instructor while also maintaining an authoritative composure.

I am someone who is very uncomfortable with driving and genuinely didn't think I would have ever been able to drive but thanks to her, each session I am able to build confidence in my driving. Fantastic experience: Great class, I took defensive driving for point reduction from Mr Giboney and A++. He immediately made us conformable and confident keeping the class as exciting as a defensive driving class can be. And I recieved my certificate before 9 am the following day which was a Saturday.

Fantastic experience: This class was really good. The instructor was energetic and was able to get the entire class to interact with him on different topics surrounding defensive driving. I thought the 6 hour course would be a drag but to my surprise it went by really fast.

Fantastic experience: The defensive driving class I took was great, the instructor Mr Giboney was very nice and patient with the class, it was a 6 hour class but he made it go by fast. I actually learned alot from this class and would definitely take it again it helped me realize how important driving safety is, A-1 driving school is a great program everytime I called with questions they were always friendly and helped my out, I got my certificate early the next day I strongly recommend this driving school!

Negative experience: Instructor Imani Hines was Unprofessional and carless made the situation life risking ! How do you take a" first time driver " !!!!! an 18 yr old to the freeway running 80 miles an hr to Douglas vill from Jonesboro .all this because the instructor needed to collect her own personal pay ( during working hrs )and the audacity to be on a phone call cussing on the phone during paid instructor time .she had an ugly and unsettling way to instruct all because she had issues collecting her hours worked and pay with the other person on the phone .my niece came back startled and crying .I will definitely take this matter to whome it needs to .

She was very professional and informative which was great for me. I had the best experience at the Jonesboro location. A1 driving school is highly recommended, if booking book with Tinna!

Negative experience: This 1 star is for Sharon the instructor NOT A1 in general. And I gave 1 star because I couldn't post without one. Sharon has the nastiest most horrible personality I have ever come across in my entire life. I had a 2 hour session with her and she was very impatient, confrontational and downright rude! I was tense throughout the entire session and had to switch to another instructor for the balance of the driving lessons I had. If I didn't know better I would tell you all to stay clear of A1 but I know there are great instructors there. Just DO NOT choose Sharon or you will be in for a lesson from HELL!!

Negative experience: The instructors name was Rob he was great . My issue is getting my certificate if I took the course Thursday then should at least receive it the next day. Now it Saturday and I still do see the certificate and when you call Sue talking to you like you getting on her nerves. Never again

Fantastic experience: My instructor was Imani Hines. She was a fantastic driving instructor. Brought me from zero to being able to get my license in 20 Hours. Highly focused. Gave useful feedback and did not shy away from giving me time on the interstate dispite my lack of experience and she also patiently worked with me on parking and other more challenging aspects of driving. I have had great experiences with the company and this location as a whole.

Fantastic experience: Mr. Brady was an awesome instructor. I’ve learned a lot in this course and I will definitely use on the road. He expressed how important it was to drive safely and to be prepared on the road no matter what. The examples he created made me understand more in-depth of how to drive correctly on the road

Fantastic experience: I recently decided to take the defensive driving course to help with an upcoming court appearance for a speeding ticket. I chose the Saturday class & Mr. Walter was the instructor. He was very down to earth, had a great sense of humor & all the while, held a very informative 6 hour class. I learned so much & enjoyed listening to him & all of his knowledge he spewed upon us. I highly recommend any class he may teach, because his goal is to teach you & I guarantee you, you will learn from him! Thank you Mr. Walter!

Negative experience: The lady Ms Imani is so rude OMG she isn’t patient at all. I did pass the test but at the same time she was constantly on my back please proceed with caution if she is your testing instructor.

Fantastic experience: Eventhough CoVid-19 has changed our everyday routine in society A-1 Driving School adapted to making sure that individuals with infrastructures upon their license had the opportunity to correct them.While attending class I was taught by the most down to earth,informative, BEAUTIFUL spirited, breath of fresh air teacher.Ms.ShacaraThomas(Atlanta)made the learning experience bearable. Thank you A-1 as a whole well put together company. I hope I never need them again, but if I did they'll have my business hands down!!

Fantastic experience: My driver instructor Mrs.Sharon was excellent! I am 30 years old and have anxiety when I drive, and she helps me with ease. She was firmed yet polite and respectful. She never made me feel embarrassed; she always let me go at my own pace with guidance. Sometimes we had impatient people on the road, and she would tell me that they can always go around us and never to lose focus on what's important ( which was safety). Today I was so happy to not only make me and my family proud but her as well when I passed my road test! I genuinely recommend this woman she has the patience and kindness with working with young and old first-time drivers.

Negative experience: Paid for a package for my daughter who lives in the area and only after it was paid did they claim it would take months for availability. Then they claimed they would not be able to issue a full refund due to the credit card company they work with costs. Not professional!! Glad my daughter will not be instructed by anyone from this office.

Negative experience: Driving lessons were fine. Shannon could be a bit more patient and much more clear. She actually took a phone call while she was supposed to be teaching me how to parallel park. And, when I asked for her to elaborate, she gave me a driver’s manual instead and told me to review that. I’m still bewildered because, I paid money to be told to just read the manual that I studied in the first place to get my permit. I thought that was insane. The following week, I actually went to a competitor driving school and learned so much more in one lesson than the two lessons I paid A1. That disappointed me greatly cause I essentially wasted money with these people. I agree with a fellow commenter. I wish there were profiles for the drivers. I could’ve picked a better instructor. I also see that they only comment on reviews that leave them positive remarks...mmm

Fantastic experience: I wasnt in the best spirits to have to sit in a class all day with a stuck up instructor talking my head off. But the class wasn't that bad after all. The instructor definitely made it worth it no where near stuck up and time went by fast didnt even feel like we we're there for 6 hours. Fantastic experience: I took 5 2-hour driving classes with Dorinda Ritcherson. She is an absolutely phenomenal teacher. I went from terrified to get on the road, due to a history of being in multiple accidents when I was a kid, to currently having my license and driving on the road with confidence, something I thought would never happen. Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic experience: I’ve never been to such organized class ever. Besides school of course. The class was so interactive, and I enjoyed it. The instructor was so respectful and made sure we had all the material we needed. Mr. Walter words we if you participate if you listen and if you can read you can pass the test. Very much true.
