Negative experience: My kid as taken the test 5 times off by 2 to 3 points and they give 3 tests that is insanity yup retired cops still power tripping not cool and my kid comes out of there crying truthfully very unprofessional and very disgusted with that.

Negative experience: I had a lot of subjective mistakes on my drivers test, I think were ridiculous and think the individual I tested with was really looking for reasons to talk down to me and feel like they were above me, not to encourage safer driving.

Fantastic experience: Great driver's ed course! The instructors are experienced and skilled in working with new drivers. They are well-acquainted with driving laws, since the instructors have all been police officers. I highly recommend this driving school.

Fantastic experience: Great driving school, I had Mr. Alan Barber as my instructor and tester. You will find incredible insight and tips for driving if you come here. There was a small mistake involving a knowledge test I took expiring but the staff went above and beyond to fit me in to be able to take my driving test I had scheduled. Thank you all for your hard work.

Negative experience: The unprofessionalism is real. I went here for classes as a teen and I don’t remember much, but 1 year ago I took the test twice to get licensed and it was awful. The instructor rescheduled on me at the last minute and then was at times very hostile and inappropriate with me during our drive. Laughing, jeering, scoffing at very minimal mistakes such as leaving my blinker on a few seconds too long. I ended up failing the first time by about 3 points or so, and crying my eyes out. I was a 22 year old woman at the time, I struggle with ADHD, and I think this establishment is bordering on unsafe for young people when instructors are allowed to say and do just anything to young people who are already possibly scared/uncomfortable. I think that my specific instructor (not all I’m sure) really leaned into the expected behaviors of an aggressive, hostile old retired cop who still wants to bark at people and make them feel small somehow while on the clock. This is the same instructor there are multiple bad reviews about. I’ll also add that my boyfriend left 911 a bad but honest review after hearing all of this from me, and they responded by blasting out his PERSONAL INFORMATION that they got from estranged family members with the same last name who they found in their system. That was shocking to me!!! So privacy and personal information are also not respected here, in addition to people’s right to basic human respect. Lame and sad.

Negative experience: The knowledge class teachers are nice enough but the driving instructors themselves are extremely impatient, rude, condescending, and inconsiderate. I would highly suggest taking your patronage elsewhere if you or your child are looking for a reliable driving school.

Negative experience: I guess when you’re the only game in town you can be rude as you want. Knowledgeable, yes! Short, terse, impatient,? Yes! Well trained and respectful? Absolutely not. The front of house staff is really condescending. However I found the instructors and website quite up to snuff.

Fantastic experience: The owner called after an issue I had with an employee i had on the phone who did not set clear expectations. He was apologetic and handled it well. Good experience

Negative experience: I went here to take a drive test and ended up getting the worst man I've ever met. The first instructor that was supposed to take me had something going (I believe a stroke) and was trying to go to the hospital, he told me his boss was coming though and if his boss didn't come then he would take me. That's terrifying, first of all you shouldn't have to wait for you boss so you can go to the hospital, secondly you shouldn't be offering to give me my drive test and put me in danger when you're experiencing a medical crisis. When I asked if I could reschedule he said no. His boss got there though and was immediately rude and condescending. He told me because I'd never gone to drive school it would be impossible for me to pass before we ever started the test. I shook like a leaf the whole time as I have social anxiety and the instructor only made it worse. He laughed at me when I did hand signals cause my stop was wrong as I had learned differently and from another state in a small town originally. He told me he was ex swat and scoffed at me like it made him better. He told me he wouldn't be able to talk during my test and did nothing but. He took me down a road he didn't know, and then proceeded to tell me I was going to believe a ups driver about the road being clear. I was backing up to see around the van since they're HUGE. But he was convinced I was believing him and kept saying "Yes you were." When I said I wasn't trusting the ups driver. Promptly slammed on the breaks later on when I was "backing out of a driveway" repeating I was going to hit the fence. I wasn't and he didn't seem to understand that. This man wanted me to fail from the start and told me it was impossible to pass. Your drive test shouldn't be hit or miss based on your instructor. He shouldn't even be allowed to work for places like that when he has obvious anger management issues.

Negative experience: A total rip off. I study the test and go to take the test an fail me. I'm taking my business somewhere else. They just want my money that's all.

Fantastic experience: Just did my drive test. The instructor was very knowledgable about any points I missed. I uses there car and because I am used to manual almost got marked off for taking my right hand off the wheel, he was understanding about this. (I barely passed btw got an 84, need 80 to pass... last time I got a 94, that was 12 years ago and I had actually practiced however!)

Positive experience: Love the place my only problem is paying 50$ and not knowing what questions I got wrong. Studied a lot for the knowledge test. It would make sense to show what you got wrong so u have an idea on what u need to study the next time around.

Fantastic experience: This place really gets the concept of owning a mistake and making it right for their customer. I called and scheduled (and paid for) my son's drive test a week in advance. We arrived on the scheduled day and called to check in only to be told that we weren't on the schedule. I was frustrated. We live 30 minutes from this place (45 with the construction on Hwy. 3). I didn't take out my frustrations on the receptionist but did explain that I was very disappointed. She wasn't the original appointment scheduler but really tried to make this right. She apologized profusely and got us scheduled for the next available appointment. With a deep breath I had accepted that there would be no drive that day. After we had been rescheduled she said that she can't guarantee anything but will ask the instructor if he'd be willing to stay late to do the test today as soon as he got back from his drive. She apologized again. We were almost back home when she called back to tell me that the instructor would stay late to administer the test that evening after he was supposed to be off. I thanked her as she apologized again for the inconvenience. Evidently she contacted the owners of the driving school after this and explained the problem. She called me back and told me that she had spoken to them and that they wanted to give me a full refund for the test fee and that they'd still give him the test that day. "This one's on us for the inconvenience, we realize how far away you are and the time it takes to get here," she said. I thanked her for making this right. I never yelled, screamed, or asked for a refund. This was all a big mistake and mistakes happen. This receptionist is a true asset to this place and took this mistake on her shoulders even though she wasn't the one that had made it. She made it right. Before we enrolled in this driving school I had read the reviews and saw some really negative ones. I was hesitant to enroll my son here but now I'm the first to recommend them. I have 3 other kids that will be reaching driving ages in the coming years and they will all go to 911 in Port Orchard, as long as the same receptionist is working there.

Fantastic experience: Chris administered both my written test and driving test. He was kind while giving instructions. He explained everything very well. After the driving test he explained what I missed and allowed me to ask questions for clarity.

Negative experience: Friend of mine went there for a driving test and had instructor number 2937 she has a learning disability and he yelled at her spoke very meanly to hurt very condescendingly did not allow her to ask questions to help her all around completely unprofessional there's no reason for anyone to speak to somebody disabled that way

Negative experience: Big fast waste of money and forcing you to get your own car on there timing. when I went there in 2014 but obviously didn't finish because of them not caring at all of someone is taking more longer to learn! NOT PROFESSIONALS AT ALL WHILE TEACHING YOU! still don't even have my license yet because of you

Negative experience: I went here to learn and it was fine, recently today my girlfriend went to take a knowledge test and was completely disrespected, and rushed. Horrible customer service.(front desk lady was nice)

Fantastic experience: 911 has been the driving school for two of my kids. I would unequivocally recommend 911 Driving School teenagers and young adults working on getting their 1st driver’s license. SIGNING UP: 5 stars Simple we stopped in and within minutes were set up for a series of classes. They had a variety of different class times to suit different needs. WEBSITE: 4 stars Pretty well laid out. I had all the necessary information. You will have to set up your practice times online so make sure you listen when you are told how to do this. OFFICE: 4 stars The reception staff is extremely professional they went the extra mile in helping set up makeup classes and setting up drives when needed. The office itself is small but comfortable and had some cool car/highway art. The frontend and the classroom are both keep clean. The bathroom was also clean. CLASSROOM: 5 Stars First of all, I really appreciate the initial hour or so that they spent with both parents and teenagers to outline the class and driving. They go over their philosophy and why and how they teach. They explain what is needed to pass. The instructors take the time to answer questions. YES, even the one from the student that wanted to know why they don’t get deer to cross in a safer place than the DANGER DEER CROSSING AREA. The only complaints my daughter had was that the students acted immaturely and maybe they were not ready for the responsibility of driving. PRACTICE DRIVES: 5 Stars The instructors I have met are extremely knowledgeable. They take some extra time to work with the kids when they are having difficulties but do not coddle them. They are extremely patient when explaining what they are doing wrong. Listening to their instruction will only make you a better driver. I could repeatedly hear the instructor explaining to them what to work on and surprise, surprise it was the same issues I had explained to my kid. But now they heard it from an instructor. There is a reason they explain safety at so many points in the drive so that the students get it. PRACTICE VEHICLE: 5 Stars My kids both like the cars (KIA SOUL) for the most part. They like the fact it was small and a lot easier to park than a big truck that they had to do most of their practice drives with me. After doing all their parking with the truck the small car was a breeze. The car was mechanically maintained and clean. WRITTEN TEST: 5 Stars From both my kids that took the class they said all you need to do is pay attention and take a few notes. The instructors do not teach to the test but they will make sure that they put out everything you need to know to pass. DRIVING (SKILLS) TEST: 5 Stars I would suggest splurging for the extra PRACTICE drive. You get to work on what you want. It gave both my kids the chance to work on those little extra things they wanted to so they could pass the test. Then when they took the driving test they had no issues. ***Most of the bad reviews I have seen focused on drivers failing the driving test. The instructor’s job is to test the drivers not to pass them. If the driver cannot perform the skills test then that is the driver’s issue. Just because you have been driving for 5+, 10+, 30+ years does not mean you are a good driver. Laws change and drivers get comfortable with their bad habits over time. All drivers can gain from a quick update class. Take the time to take a class if you need to take a test. Go for a practice drive, have someone give you an honest opinion of your driving and how you can improve. OVERALL: 5 Stars Again I would highly recommend 911 Driving School for both teenagers and young adults needing to get instruction for the first time. They are professionals. They care about the kids they teach. They want them to be safe drivers not just for themselves but for everyone, family, friends and the community.

The stories, the videos of showing us crashes and how do we prevent that from happening, showing us bill Nye the science guy being feature for teaching us, and driver zed where we learn how we Do our timing of taking action or seeing the full picture of traffic filled with yellow/white lines for merging, changing, and passing at legal parts of the road etc etc I really suggest to take this driver's Ed it is really challenging and easy to earn your driver's license

He did a program called “Zed-Driving” which was fun and educating, He made me feel comfortable, and made me understand the rules of the road. Fantastic experience: Great school, had Dan as my instructor -who is an amazing teacher. He gives you everything you need to know to pass tests as well as what you need to be safe on the road. He's extremely nice and helpful to anyone who has questions and teaches his class with a very invested and encouraging manner. All the instructors I had my drives on were also great and really put me at ease, even though drives were a little daunting to me at first. Definitely would recommend this class to anyone, though the prices are on the high side, but worth it for the great education coming out of this.

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken a Drivers Ed course before and it was a terrible experience for reasons due to my mental state and the instructors way of teaching me. Here there were times when the class made it difficult to learn but Dan was a great instructor. I was able to understand what he was teaching and feel confident that If I needed too I could approach him and not feel anxious. The same experience happened when driving with a 911 instructor. My first drive was with someone else who wasn’t bad or anything but he made it difficult for me to feel comfortable and understand what he wanted from me. My second drive I was lucky to grab a drive with dan and he was great ~ it went so much smoother.

He prepared us well for our tests and our drives. I was always excited to come to drivers ed knowing I was going to be learning something new I’m an interactive way! Very Happy that I went here rather than my school's class if they were to still offer it :/ The price is pretty high, But it's pretty reasonable compared to other driving school's nearby. Otherthan that, Nothing to complain, just gald that it was a great time! Thank you sooooo much! :)
