Safety 1st of Georgia - Defensive Driving, DUI, & Drivers Education

Negative experience: Against the many GLOWING reviews for this school, I have to say this was the shadiest form of business I have had to deal with. The place might as well be a pit to throw money in because I have been reaching out for a week to schedule a defensive driver's course. Cannot wait for the rigamarole of filing a dispute with my bank to try and get my money back. All I received in terms of correspondence from them is a text to say that they were closed on Monday. I called twice on Tuesday, thrice on Wednesday, and finally, I called the DDS to file a complaint and for an investigation. It makes no sense to me how a "business" can be open for eight hours and not a single person answers a phone.

Fantastic experience: I called Safety 1st of Georgia, for assistance with a defensive driving class for my girls. I was very impressed with their level of professionalism and how responsive the lady was. She was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. I highly recommend Safety 1st of Georgia!

Negative experience: I would give this place a -20 if i could!! their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! I called this morning 1-10-22 they rude hateful woman who answers the phone hung up on me a total of 8 times. I was calling about getting my son defensive driving done and when I asked her name she hung up on me. I called back and she hung up on me every time after that!! the lady would answer the phone and would hang it up when she heard my voice..

Negative experience: Do not waste your time or money on this place. The staff is very unprofessional and RUDE! I am pregnant and tried attending a course here when I began to bee faint while standing in line to check in so I made my way to the back of the class to sit down and slightly pulled my mask down so I could breathe before I passed out, the front desk lady processed to tell me if i felt sick I need to leave the class. I was not sick, just light headed. She told me someone would call to reschedule but nobody did so I called and the lady over the phone was so disrespectful saying there’s no refund or rescheduling.

Fantastic experience: I took a Defensive Driving class with Mrs. J and she was fantastic! She was engaging and I learned a lot. She was very informative and made the class relateable. Safety 1st of Georgia has a great customer service and I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I recently needed services and decided that Saftey First looked like a company that I was interested in. To my surprise, they were not! My class was rescheduled 3 times and when I called I spoke with a rude woman named.Ms Turner. I asked if could be placed in a different class due to scheduling differences. I had already changed my work schedule the prior 3 times . I was told no. Ms Turer did not even attempt to work with me on the issue,then proceeded to tell me it's not their fault in an aggressive tone. Do not use this company. They are very unprofessional, seem to have scheduling issues, and VERY RUDE people working there!

Negative experience: I spoke to a Mrs. Turner on the 15th of December. This encounter with her was very unprofessional. While speaking with her she automatically accused me of a review I did not do nor did she take the opportunity to find out who I was before the accusations started. Mind you I never spoke with Mrs. Turner or any other staff member of this establishment prior to this day. This service is there to assist people with safety not being rude and unjust. With this being said my daughter has lost out on money and a the opportunity of taking this class even after calling and explaining what happened and why she needed to reschedule her class. To added insult to injury my daughter called back on the 17th asking to speak to a supervisor and Mrs. Turner only was willing to give an email address with no name of authority. The only question I have is if my daughter had Covid is this also a good reason not to at least reschedule or refund her money? But to break down on the side of the road apparently isn't a good enough reason either.

Negative experience: This place is robbery, I only could pay and register online and that's $95 that's not refunded or transferable when I only had one date to choose from and than when I go back on there website it end up having dates for the week days. The staff lied and said they're only open saturdays than I find out because of the pandemic they only have class when 10 people register

Fantastic experience: I was dreading spending the first Saturday without rain in a 7 hour defensive driving class. Fortunately, Ms. T made it bearable and even a little fun. She was professional and friendly. I was expecting to just go into a self-induced coma for the duration of the course so I could get my certificate and leave. But, you must engage and participate. I'm glad I did because I learned A LOT. The class started and ended to the exact times, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, which I appreciated. They also teach an "Alive at 25" class for teenagers and young adults (15 to 25), for which I will be signing my kids up soon. Bravo. Well done!

Fantastic experience: Mrs. Turner was a great teacher. She was very livelt in her teaching and very informative. Hopefully I won't ever have to take another Defensive Driving class but if ever I do, I will definitely be looking for her.

Negative experience: The woman who answers the phone is VERY RUDE she refused to give her name up and also hung up in my face after telling me she doesn’t have to answer any of my questions she just answers the phone. I have Spoken with her previously for another time that I had to take the class and she was even worse that’s how I remembered who she was when I called to ask her specific questions, she kept saying send an email I don’t have to answer your questions and hung up so I called her AGAIN just because I missed the time she may have told me to come and she got IRATE immediately. I’m unsure of her name but I’m positive it wasn’t Ms. T ! (Mrs.T Was A GREAT INSTRUCTOR)

Fantastic experience: The defensive driving class was supremely informational! On top of a well taught class the instructor, Janice Turner, was very patient and respecful with all the students. With a one day class I feel more comfortable driving defensively and suitable to be in control of myself and my vehicle. I would highly recommend everyone to take this class because they surely would not be disappointed.
