Fantastic experience: I got my cdl 7 years ago and one of my friend got it just few weeks ago and still kotra its the number one place to get the cdl. Make everything easy for the student great school and stuff Thank you highly recommended

Fantastic experience: All recommendations for Kotra driving school. For two weeks, I studied with a great team of lecturers and instructors who selflessly impart their knowledge to the candidates. Kind and patient, from the first day I feel like a member of the family. Of course, after two weeks of training, I passed my practical CDL test with no problems.

Fantastic experience: A very good experience. A professional approach to training. The flexibility to plan your own schedule. This is not the place where you’ll get your CDL in two weeks, but it is the place where you’ll leave as a well-prepared and professional driver Thank you all. I got my CDL in 5 weeks.

Negative experience: Attending this school, They required me to sit in a class and learn the pre-trip without actually touching the inside of the the truck. They claim to have a simulator to use to memorize the the inside cab portion of pre trip however it’s nothing but a plastic model and chair to mimic the controls of the truck. They require to use the internet at first to get your permit to learn(you basically do that portion at home). Also serval political signs/verbiage about the Russian And Ukraine War spread across the school Which isn’t very appropriate and seems to be there only focus really instead of helping you get your CDL . Which is crazy seeing they charge you $4000 to $5000. Needless to say I asked for a refund and they kept $1000 which is ridiculous seeing they really didn’t do much for me! I went down the road to 160 got my CDL in about month and half and they charged me way less!

We deeply regret that you had a negative experience. However, it is hard to respond to an anonymous review since we can not examine your case. As far as your reflections, they are not completely accurate. We do have an online training resource which is used as an additional tool to help the students review the material taught in class by our instructors, and not as a substitute to classroom training. Using the models in the classroom before transitioning to actual vehicles is essential to students' safety. Once a student is familiar with critical truck components and systems to a point a student can operate them with confidence, the student is scheduled for hands-on training and gets sufficient time in actual trucks. As far as refund, it's calculated according to a student contract. All unused funds are refunded except for the prorated calculation of training received by a student. We strive to offer the best quality training to our customers and stand by our standards. However, shortcomings are possible. We take negative feedback seriously and investigate thoroughly. You are more than welcome to come in to have your case reviewed and request a further refund if it is determined that our school did not fulfil our part of the contract.
