Negative experience: If I could give negative I would. Don't waste your money on this school. Unprofessional, instructor was late, inflexible in method of payment (why do they require cash payment?), car broke down, etc. so many issues and problems

Negative experience: The school was recommended by someone we trust, and while it has great reviews on Google, there are some concerns raised in other reviews that we chose to overlook. This tendency to prioritize personal recommendations over potential red flags is something we see often, whether it’s in relationships or business. The school’s hours are typically packed, and they require us to call a day in advance to book classes. It took us several weeks to secure an appointment due to their limited availability. However, after finally getting a slot, we had to cancel because something urgent came up—this realization occurred just an hour after making the appointment. We promptly called to inform them that, due to an emergency, we wouldn’t be able to attend the class. What we heard in response was shocking: “Please reschedule with some other school.” We paused, trying to understand if there was a language barrier at play, but it was clear they meant what they said. Their statement that “we decide what’s an emergency” was both unprofessional and dismissive. It feels like you have to be part of an exclusive club to be treated respectfully as a customer. We were simply notifying them of our inability to attend so they could offer the slot to someone else. If they truly are the "Best Driving School," accommodating reschedules should not pose a challenge. Businesses making millions adjust appointments with ease; the unfriendly tone of the person we spoke to crossed the line into disrespect. In my experience with Boston businesses and entrepreneurs, I’ve learned that outstanding customer service is essential for survival and growth. This is only the second lengthy review I’ve written in a decade, the first being about a business that was equally rude and ultimately went under. I feel for the other stakeholders and employees who may be oblivious to this poor customer handling, as they likely wonder why the business is struggling. So, as the person on the phone suggested, we will be rescheduling with another driving school. It’s unfortunate to walk away feeling insulted, but we won’t tolerate such treatment.

Negative experience: Teachers may be nice, but the person who books the training changes the time randomly, then send you a message randomly that it changed at 10PM. No freedom to choose the time that the students are available. It could be cheaper than other places, but definitely not worth the service

The owner, Mr Pelletier, as well as his employees, are exceptional driving instructors and they prepared me not only for the driving test but to drive safely and confidently overall. I can attest from personal experience that Mr Pelletier is sincerely invested in making sure his students manage to secure their driving licenses after taking the minimum number of lessons-I only needed a few before I passed my test with flying colours! Additionally, the rates this school charges for lessons and road tests, are very reasonable compared to those of other driving schools in the area. Fantastic experience: I took 3 classes with Best Driving school, and I passed at the first time. I used the company car I paid $100 for the rent car and $60 one hour practice before the test. I am happy that I passed , Best Driving school highly recommended good instructors.

Negative experience: Absolute abysmal communication. If you want your time wasted, and you want all of your appointments delayed due to incompetent leadership, then this is the place to go.

Negative experience: Scam!! Do NOT rent a car from here for a road test. I showed up on time, the driver showed up late with another student so I had no chance to even familiarize with the car whatsoever, which in retrospect was obviously done on purpose. He was also extremely rude and weird from the start. Also he immediately demanded $100 cash, which whatever. Anyway, I start the test and he puts the e-brake on unbeknownst to me before I ever even stepped in the car (never had such a thing happen on a road test). So I’m trying to turn the e-brake off but it wouldn’t budge. I’m sure if he gave me a moment, I could’ve figured it out, but he immediately starting berating me asking me why I can’t immediately do it without blinking an eye. I said, because this is a rental car that I’ve NEVER even set foot in before, that I had to rent last second because the car I was using didn’t have the e-brake in the center which I was not told would be necessary, I was only told it had to have a working e-brake, which it does. So the guy testing me starts very rudely telling me that I should know the car I’m driving in and out. HOW am I supposed to do that when it’s a rental and the guy from the driving school NEVER GAVE ME A CHANCE to familiarize myself with it AT ALL, which clearly must’ve been on purpose. He failed me before I even got a chance to actually drive it. I told the rental/driving school guy I see exactly what little scam he’s pulling and I want my money back. He laughed in my face and said I’m not getting my money back, to which I replied then I will leave a review warning people about you, to which he told me “no I won’t” and proceeded to THREATEN ME. I got weird and bad vibes from this guy from the very start and so did my mom, but I didn’t expect anything THIS bad. Do NOT rent a car from here! In fact, don’t do any business with this shady company. This guy has NO business teaching or testing ANYONE. Of course, he never gave his name, something I didn’t really pay attention to at first but after this all went down it is now very clear that that was done on purpose too. This is clearly not his first rodeo. He also failed the kid right before me in a very similar way too, in that he didn’t even let him get out of the parking lot row before failing him. This isn’t a case or just a harsh tester. He very obviously set me up to fail, and almost certainly did the same with the person before me and likely many others. Since the snake didn’t give me his name, all I can do is describe him physically: average height and build, 5’8-5’9, on the skinny side, 50s or 60s, grey/white hair, medium length kind of shaggy with a grey/white beard also medium length, and pale in complexion but with a noticeable red and flushed face, especially in the nose and cheeks, like that of a chronic alcoholic. He tried to tell me that I won’t be able to post this review, or that there will be repercussions. For what, telling the truth and exposing him? I’d like to see that. Even if NONE of this had happened, he still had a very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful manner which would be enough to show that he’s not fit for the job (for example, he kept talking past me/about me to my mom, who was there with me because I was going to be using her car for the test but then we found out the e-break wasn’t the right type for them, while I was standing right next to her as if I was a small child. I’m 28 and he knew this, as ge asked me my age literally right before he started doing this) but what followed was beyond anything I could’ve imagined happening. So now I’m out $100 (its also very convenient how he only accepted cash, because with a card your bank or credit card company can reverse a charge in the event of a scam like this), and probably will have to pay to take the test again. I have no idea if these two men are a reflection of this driving school as a whole (I sure hope not) or if they’ve just gone rogue and are maybe running a side scam, but what I can tell you with absolute certainty that these two men are THIEVES.

Negative experience: Pretty bad experience, not writing to rant or anything, but rather to help those who might be considering them their service. No proper communication. There prices on the website shows something on the form and something else on other part of it. They don't mentioned what payment methods they accept. I went to the road test and the man ( old, white hair and beard ) asks me $160 cash-in-hand. I didn't have cash ( and it has worked out in the past in the same situation with alternative payment method ), he said either cash or I will have to let you go. I check the CVS nearby, but ATM wasn't operational. I asked him if I could write a check or pay him at his office or send money to his bank account, he denied. He said he can take me to other ATM, I asked let's go to Chase ATM (which was nearby), he said BoA where (I knew) my digital debit card wouldn't have worked. He gave me my permit back and literally said "GO AWAY". The overall attitude while talking on multiple phone calls wasn't good either, quite rude and always in hurry to hang up. The day before my road test, I asked for a pick-up ( which is included in $160 ), he plainly denied. I should have given a second thought that at very minute. Now because of them I will have to pay for the road test at RMV again, costing me double unnecessarily...

Negative experience: Hello all, May this review be helpful to those who have financial constraints. I've chosen this school for driving lessons and sponsorship after seeing all the positive reviews. But after a very unhelpful experience twice with driving instructors like James, Jean(Very impatient).. it seems a very poor decision in contacting The Best Driving School to get a Massachusetts license -> Most of the time they are in a hurry to finish up your practice session, road test sponsorship not having patience at all. -> Such practice sessions are not worth your hard earned money at all -> And it looks like they deliberately fail us to make us book more practice sessions with them. -> It's better to check with another school. -> Don't waste your hard earned money just like that for no result.

Mr. Pelletier and Mr. Rory along with other are good driving instructors who finds best way to train u to drive. Negative experience: Whatever guy answered the phone was very rude, you should train your employees on proper customer service since there seems to be a lack of it.

Negative experience: They’ll talk to you like they are doing you a favor and not providing a service for money. The instructor (older man with white hair) is not bad. But even if you notify him to book lessons 4 days in advance, he might still cancel them when the day comes.

Negative experience: They have such bad customer service. I called them and the person on the other line is just so disrespectful. The instructor was extremely rude as well and there are much better options out there. Took his class once and it was such waste of time. He obviously doesn’t like what he does for a living and it shows!

Negative experience: I just call to figure out how my nephew can get his driving lesson since we are from Puerto Rico and we trying to figure out how to do it, and he told me he needed it a permit and I was like ok where he can get the permit I’m not from Massachusetts and his answer in this angry bad actitudes was you nephew should know better everybody talks at school about it, you shouldn’t be calling on behalf of your nephew he should know better , I just said it’s ok I wouldn’t be calling if we knew but thank you and he just hang up without saying nothing

Fantastic experience: Never had a bad experience with these guys. Their friendly, will teach you the right stuff and once you get the hang of things, driving with these guys can be quite relaxing. It's easy to schedule lessons, just call, tell them the date, your address and your done. Less than 30 seconds. They'll get back to you with the time later that day. This is the same for road tests. quick and simple.

On the day of my exam, they were so reassuring and calmed my nerves after going through some routine testing instructions with me. Also helpful that they do pickup / drop off! Negative experience: I had last minute cancellation due to falling sick. I was finally able to reach them after they called me and I let them know I need to reschedule. This is the message I was sent an hour later. So unprofessional!

Negative experience: My wife took 2 training classes with them and they told that you are ready for the exam. Exam day, the instructor took her to the exam center at worcester and during the driving told my wife that you are not ready and you will fail the test today. She has a license and 10 years of experience driving abroad. During the test, the instructor criticized my wife instead of supporting her in front of the officer. What a surprise! Good job sir!

Negative experience: If I could give this place a 0 I would, but a 1 star review is as low as I could go I called this place to inquire information about pricing and to ask if there are any packages. He asked what my address was when I asked if they provided transport, and then couldn't give me an answer on whether or not they can provide this transport. It was 12m away. I left the conversation completely confused on my question and he hung up on me 2 times. The third time he said he would get back to me but I never received a phone call back. Awful

Negative experience: I had my 5th driving lesson with this school. So far, I've been doing parallel parking completely fine. One of the instructors Roy taught me that turning the wheel one full turn right, straight then all the way to the left would get me in a perfect parallel parking position. Roy was an amazing instructor who worked well with me! It worked everytime and I was excited at how fast and easy I was learning. Until one lesson with other instructor of theirs, I don't know his name. I was doing parallel parking with this instructor I turned the wheel once right then he said "no all the way to the right" which made me confused. But I did as told since he is the instructor. Then after reversing back he had me turn the wheel all the way to the left, which cause me to be either two wide or to close to the car in front of me. By the end of the lesson he was being passive aggressive towards me saying how I am doing bad at driving. If he knew I made a mistake parallel parking by turning the wheel all the way to the right instead of just one full turn right.. why didn't he corrected me? I didn't realize until after the lesson that maybe he was testing me but you should correct me if I am doing something wrong. I am paying for this service to learn correctly..He had me do many parallel parks that day and they were bad because of his direction. He knew I was turning the wheel to far to the right and didn't correct me. Let me know and I will fix it. Especially since I parallel parked with him before and I'm sure as HELL he knows I did it perfectly well. I don't recommend the "best driving school inc" in worcester.. This specific instructor seemed like he wanted the lesson to be over and didn't want me to use the services anymore. You're only a bad driver if your teacher is bad at driving and teaching. He had zero patience, wasn't calm, was signing when I was doing something wrong, and had his hand on his temple like he was over teaching me. It made me upset when he said I was doing bad WHILE driving the car! I asked him "am I really that bad?" And he said "it's bad". Of course that made me even more nervous and upset. He is "suppose to be professional". I know I parallel parked 4 out of 5 of my driving lessons perfectly fine! Please don't spend an ounce of money at this place.

Fantastic experience: This is definitely the BEST driving school! I had two classes with Rory, he is so kind and professional. I was taught prep before start, three point turn, parallel parking, most important, how to drive safely on the road. I also took my real road test with them. Pelletier picked me up and took me to RMV as the sponsor. We had practices around the area and further tips were given just before the test. It was really helpful for me to pass the test. I'm so excited to become a licensed driver and many thanks to Rory and Pelletier!

Fantastic experience: I passed my road test!! I took one by myself without taking any class and failed once. I found this place, took road test lessons, and passed!! I'm a full time college student, so I was worried about scheduling, but they were very flexible with time (most of the time I called them a day before and could schedule practice). Plus, it was very convenient because they picked me up and dropped me off at my address. My instructor was Mr. Pelletier (I also took one lesson from Harris). They were both very calm and well organized. I was taught everything that are on the actual road test - including hand signals, 3 points turn, and parallel parking which I didn't know well when I only practiced with my boyfriend. I also took the road test with them. It's great because I got to use the same car I practiced, and I got some practice done right before the test. Besides, Mr. Pelletier went through some importance info (ex. Speed limits, locations of stop signs) around the testing area right before the test which were very helpful (I live in Worcester and took the test in Leominster). I'm just supper happy now because I just passed the test!! I definitely recommend this place !!! One more thing! If you call their number and they don't pick up at that time, they will give you a call back. I was little confused at the beginning, but if the instructor was teaching someone at the time, they won't answer the call at that time but will call you back later.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with best driving school and I passed my driving test at first try!!! The scheduling is convinient because you make your own schedule. As compared to the other driving schools, you pay hourly which fits your budget instead of paying thousands of dollar. Pelletier made sure I know everything before the test and he guided me through it which helped alot. He told me how many lessons I should take and my weak points. I recommend best driving school because it is convinient, helpful and fits to everyone's budget.

Positive experience: They teach very well, but they charge $50 more to go to RMV Leominster, MA, and $100 for 1-hour of training then test. But he came late 25 min and I drove the car 25 min then 10 min training after that the road test. If they want to charge $50 more, please come on time and don't count the rode of my training time.

Fantastic experience: I took about 15 lessons and had my road test with Best Driving School. Previously I didn't know how to drive at all and I passed my road test at the first time. Most of the instructors are kind and patient. Just don't be nervous. Whatever they say, you are just a beginner and needed to learn. They can definitely show you the tips for passing the road test and the cautions while driving. If you have never driven before, this might be a choice for you.

Fantastic experience: Superior driving school with high quality teachers, on-time scheduling, and efficient administration. I am so impressed with Best Driving School for many reasons. First, my son enrolled at Wachusett High Drivers Ed and they completely ignored him, he got a lesson 30 minutes every third week which was useless. Then I called Best and they have a much better Plan where they coach in concentration over a one month time frame to get my student up to full capability driving skill. My son went from average driver to a very good, skilled, careful driver in one month. Best teaches safety first and all of the confidence building to prepare for real world driving. They provide constructive feedback for my student to work on with his own time. I would recommend Best 100x better than Wachusett Public School who basically took my money for inferior, infrequent, poor, uncaring teaching. Best School cares about student progress. development, and generates results that last a lifetime. They were on time 100% of the scheduled drive times and also give a more challenging lesson through Worcester city streets. Great work Best School, thank you for the important work that your school accomplishes.

Negative experience: The instructor picked my son and I at the college for a one hour driving class. He was very rude and very unprofessional. As soon as I get into the car, he asked me for the money in a rude way. The. Whole hour and didn't teach me nothing. I get back to the parking lot of the college for him to tell me I don't know how to drive and need practice. Makes no sense to me. Not worth my money and time. He doesn't like his job, he needs to quit. To many wonderful people out there looking for work that can help others.

Negative experience: Don’t use this place as a sponsor!! The instructor is extremely rude and unprofessional. I had my sponsorship scheduled with them for over a month and when he called me to confirm the night before hand, i was busy working and couldn’t pick up the phone. Keep it mind it was 8pm too, no driving school should be calling you that late. When i finally was able to pick up the phone, he was ignorant and said i take too long to answer my phone and when i apologized that i was working, he told me we couldn’t take the hour practice (that is included in what i’m paying for) all because i didn’t come to my phone in a timely manner. Sure, they might know how to drive, but i wouldn’t recommend giving these people any money.

Negative experience: Very rude and greedy! They have never asked me to get the money in cash on the day of my road test. However, he still ended up demanding me cash just 30 min before my road test ruining my peace before the test and not allowing me enough time to practice and prep. It was his fault that he has never informed me to get the cash for the test. I had to take the result.
