Negative experience: When I had made my appointment for my written test this gentleman sounded so helpful over the phone.I came in to do my written test at the end this lady was rushing me to give her my test because they were closing ended up not passing my test .

Negative experience: I rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about my terrible experience with this driving school. The staff here were shockingly rude and unprofessional, not just to us but to other customers as well. What was most appalling was the driving instructor, Doreen's behavior during my 16-year-old son’s test. Instead of offering constructive feedback, the instructor, Doreen actually told him, in no uncertain terms, that he “didn’t know anything” and even went so far as to say that he would “end up dying in a car crash.” For an instructor to make such harsh, discouraging comments to a young person learning a crucial life skill is beyond unacceptable. In addition, there was not any privacy in the instructor giving us the test results or feedback. My sons failure was announced as she walked in the front door for all in the lobby to hear. Her demeanor and attitude was very negative. It was obvious that her negative energy vibrated through out the office and to her staff. It feels like this business is more interested in failing students and collecting $95 for retests than helping new drivers improve. If you’re considering this school, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. This kind of negative, fear-based approach is harmful and does not help build the confidence new drivers need on the road. There are much better driving schools out there that will treat you and your child with the respect you deserve. ***EDIT: In response to the owners reply, we were at the Raritan location on 10/18/24 at 2pm. When I asked the front desk for the driver instructors name, Doreen (the instructor), screamed at me across your lobby. Her screaming was in regards to my son speeding and failing his test. This screaming at me was in effort to justify the inappropriate things she said to my son during his driving test, see above ^. We were then kicked out. Surely, you remember and know that I do not have the wrong location, unless screaming at customers is a regular occurrence. Also, if you only charge $80 and I was charged $95 and given no receipt this is an issue as well.

Negative experience: Súper mala atención, la chica me daba instrucciones en inglés cuando pedi hacer mi prueba en español, la atención muy mala las chicas groceras sin educación, no te explican cómo será el examen ni la puntuación requerida para aprobar! Además te hacen pagar en efectivo! Super bad attention, the girl gave me instructions in English when I asked to take my test in Spanish, very bad attention the groceras girls without education, they do not explain to you how the exam will be or the score required to pass! They also make you pay in cash!

Negative experience: I can see why the reviews are what they are. Went in to do a drivers test AFTER calling to make sure they do walk ins and if there was a wait. They told me that it was fine to come in, they’d be able to get me in. And then when I got there the lady with 3 eyelashes told me she couldn’t take me. Super annoying and lack of communication on their end. TO RESPOND TO YOUR REPLY: I didn’t get there at 4, it was about 3:25-330. She said she couldn’t take me because she was the only person there and the lady who told me to come down “left”. Which is not my fault if I’m in there before 4 as you said, I should have been helped. The lady at the counter was to busy yelling at her children that were running around the office before even speaking to me. Was wonder if it is a driver school or a daycare, if it’s both maybe you should have more people in the front to help with actual drivers tests, not one that is babysitting and can’t help. Fix your establishment, work on your communication skills, and be more professional. I highly recommend the one in Northglenn I was in & out. They still seen me even though I got there a little after 4, after dealing with what happened at this one.

Negative experience: 2.04 pm and you guys stopped taking walk-ins, what kind of service is this ? No notice nothing I traveled in bus for 2 hours to reach here.. Worst experience, this is 2nd time in row ,last time I came at 3.45 pm that time even receptionist said no more walk-in.worst service and working hours

Positive experience: To be honest my experience was neither good nor bad here since I have nothing else to compare it to. I'll give the place two stars since they accommodate for walk in exams (both written and road). I'll give another star for the friendliness of the woman typically at the desk. The cons of this place are that you are over critiqued for some reason for certain instances (or mistakes) you make that truly don't make sense. I had an instructor that said I failed to check my mirrors when lane changing (which I did I can do that without having to move my head a lot and I know that the person never looked at me even once) and for going 10 under the speed limit on a 30 (i was definitely going 22-25). Other than that this place is not bad but wouldn't recommend it for anyone with little to no experience driving as the environment can get overwhelming. The instructors were professional and not rude at all even helpful at times, just the way they explain when you fail can come off as condescending to someone who is anxious about their exam. I assume responsibility for failing the exam(s) so I'm not bashing the business or workers like some other people on here. I decided to take my test at another well-known place and passed. Solid 3/5

Negative experience: Took my test today & was told they only except cash..I paid $80 and was failed because someone else pulled out when I had the right away and I had to over correct. I tried speaking with someone and explaining the situation with no help. I don’t think it’s right to take people’s money and not take things like that into account. I would not recommend takeing your test here.

Fantastic experience: The most friendliest staff I have ever came across! It’s a family business and I had the pleasure to have the son of the owner as my driving instructor who makes you forget you were even nervous. The whole staff goes above and beyond to provide great service. Not a single complaint here. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: No recomiendo a las personas que vayan a este sitio, yo tuve la mala experiencia que fui allá y la prueba de manejo la hace un americano que te confundí con las instrucciones por que no se le entiende bien y no sabes si te dice que derecho o derecha que son muy parecidas además me dio dos instrucciones donde por darme la dirección casi encima del semáforo me hizo errar en el procedimiento y lo último y más importante tienen un carro Toyota viejo que el día de la prueba tenia prendido el testigo del aire en las llantas no estaba correcto y leyendo esto afecta la estabilidad del carro, el frenado y el amortiguamiento del mismo así mismo pone en riesgo ti integridad yo les hice el reclamo y les dije que me regresaran el dinero de la prueba y las señoras que atienden son de muy mal carácter y lo único que me dieron fue un recibo de pago por que ni eso me querían dar para colocar la denuncia ante la autoridad competente para que esto no se siga repitiendo con otras personas que requieren hacer su prueba d3 manejo en las mejores condiciones y servicio, esta oficina es la campeona de hacer repetir la prueba de manejo a las personas que llegan allá a solicitar las pruebas tanto escritas como prácticas ambas son un fracaso total, espero que esto les sirva para que tomen la decisión de ir a otra parte y puedan pasar su prueba sin tantos inconvenientes gracias.

Negative experience: This place is a JOKE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Very sketchy. They take you on a route that you cannot see speed signs, stop signs are difficult to see, and school zone which isn’t labeled well (it’s obvious it’s purposeful route). They want your money so they will fail you so you come back. Read the other reviews. This is a pattern. Big Red flags! Also read their responses. SOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL.

Collect 80 dollars and lied about failing an exam, then immediately ask you to come back tomorrow. Go here at your own risk if you want to lose your hard earned money. There is another driver test location next door that is more trustworthy. Not to mention extremely unprofessional staff, the poor desk girl was getting yelled at by her teammates over silly things, very disorganized, unprofessional, and all of these things lead me to believe that this place is poorly managed, and I'm not surprised to read other reviews with people experiencing less than honest service, beleive what you read people - avoid!

Fantastic experience: I had to take the test again since it expired after certain amount of days, last time I went it was with a asian guy, which everyone complained about in the reviews, very funny reviews by the way. I don’t understand how people fail a simple test, they’re job here is to make sure only people who know how to drive get their license. I took it again with a different guy, I passed just by following the law, it’s really not that hard, and for the people who call it a scam, maybe you don’t deserve a license if you can’t follow the law.

Fantastic experience: Excelente lugar para hacer tus exámenes en español, habia escuchado malas críticas pero ami me trataron de lo mejor,primero fuei a hacer mi examen escrito en español y lo pasé rápido contestado 23 preguntas bien de un total de 25,después fui hacer el siguiente examen ya manejando el vehículo y en el transcurso del recorrido me tope con una ambulancia con las sirenas prendidas,inmediatamente me orille y pare, y luego el señor que iba conmigo me dijo ya vamonos,no tarde ni 10 minutos en el recorrido, todos tardaban 20 minutos en el recorrido, porque ya habían pasado varias personas primero que yo,tal vez fue por que pare cuando paso la ambulancia,y listo,me dijo la muchacha usted a pasado su examen, nosotros le mandaremos el resultado ala oficina de licencias,y alos 8 días me llego mi licencia a mi casa

Negative experience: This place is literally just a scam, extremely unprofessional and unethical. If you are going to this place due to its convenient location, prepare to bring a dashcam as the thieves are sitting next to you in your own car. The only way a place like that can run off of what it makes is by getting people to believe they made a mistake and pay a second time to retest. Location is everything, but if I had read the reviews prior I wouldn't have even thought about this place; please go somewhere else.

Negative experience: It was not a smooth experience at all. I went to the Raritan street branch. The Asian instructor had a thick accent which made it incredibly difficult to understand him. They only accept cash and they take walk ins only, I had to wait almost 2 hours for my test. Update: I was not satisfied with the experience at Mile high. So I approached DriveSafe Driving school instead and I found that they had driving test appointments available for the same week. I was able to book an appointment for two days later and it was so much smoother. I went on my appointment time and I was only made to wait about 15 mins where they gave me a few instructions and pointers on how to do well on the test. The driving instructor was really polite and extremely clear in his instructions. I was able to pass my test on the first attempt. They do charge more than mile high but in my opinion it’s not worth coming here and having to lose your nerves, especially when a test can be nerve wrecking already and having to fail your drive test due to the uneasiness. I’d rather pay slightly more and have a better experience than to have to schedule a second test and pay double. Also, clearly their staff is unprofessional just based off their spiteful replies to customer reviews.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a scam. The only good thing about this place is the very sweet receptionist. All the negative reviews about the older Asian man tester are true. They will take your money and he will fail you no matter what, even make up things if necessary to fail you, which is really inconsiderate considering this is in a lower income area and the test is $80 with retests being $70. I took an exam before at a different school previously and failed, so made sure to take all I learned from that one into account this time so I would pass. I aced my exam here, even made sure to look up reviews on this place before hand and take them into account (that speed limit signs weren’t easy to see, that stop signs were in places where it was hard to see around corners so you’d have to stop and then creep up, etc), and still failed. I was sure I had passed after the test and the tester brought me inside only to sit behind the counter and say nothing to me but “you can come tomorrow [to try again]” without even explaining why I failed. When I was obviously upset and confused, he avoided my questions many times by just telling me I could “try again tomorrow”, and then could not even explain to me why I failed. Not to mention, when he finally tried to explain, I could not understand him at all. I’m still not even sure why I failed, but best I could garner, it was because I had apparently been 10 miles over the speed limit multiple times. This was complete untrue as I made absolutely sure to watch my speed vigilantly and stay at 20-25 MPH to be safe when I did not see signs (adjusting this as necessary when I saw signs obviously) and did not go over the limit once. When I was upset about this because it was not true and said I didn’t understand, he also proceeded to add on more reasons why I failed that he had not previously mentioned (like that I had turned right out of the left lane) and that were completely made up to try and get me to go away. I spoke to the receptionist about my concerns after and gave them my number so I could get in contact with the manager, Monica, but she has not called me yet and it’s been 3 days, so I am now leaving a negative review. Absolutely do not listen to any of the positive reviews on this place, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made those up too. In hindsight, it’s very telling to me that only the positive reviews are responded to by them. Better to take your money somewhere you will be tested fairly, especially if you can’t afford multiple tests.

Negative experience: You can't understand the Asian man. It's a set up to fail. We went somewhere else when my kid almost broke down in tears because he didn't understand anything. We just left rather than be rude and ask for an English speaker.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE PLACE! They say they accept walks in but I have been there three times on different days at different times and they always say they are booked for the day. They don’t let you schedule appointments for driving test. Going somewhere else!

Fantastic experience: They make it really easy here. You just walk in and pay for the test you're going to take and then take it. There was a bit of a wait for the driving test when we went in so get there early if you're on a tight schedule.

Positive experience: I passed the test but barely. The good is next to dmv and walk ins allowed. Be aware during your driving test two things will happen that are questionable. 1. You will drive into areas where you will not see a posted speed limit because they intentionally route around it so you can't see it. And they won't tell you the speed. On Wadsworth it's 45, residential is 25 and other parts of the trip are 30. 2. At stop signs going to zero and looking both ways isn't good enough. Make sure the car Jerks back look left. Then look right. Then look left again. Make sure at least 3 seconds pass at each stop sign before moving even an inch forward. Otherwise they will say you didn't make complete stops.3. Also at stop signs on the route you have to stop behind the white line and you won't be able to see from that point of view if cats are coming. So make you stop let 3 Seco ds pass look both ways at least once then you can slowly move forward to actually look for cars coming before going

They make me feel so confident and welcome. I really wish every single business in Denver were like this one. Life could be better. They are the example of quality and good customer service. Negative experience: The instructor barely speaks english and is impossible to understand. Unfortunately, he is also the only instructor available.

Negative experience: Don't bother. This place is a waste of time. They advertise "walk-ins welcome", and do not even accept appointments because of that reason. I showed up for a test and was told there were no instructors available and none would be there all day. I tried calling beforehand as well but couldn't even get someone to answer the phone. The receptionist straight told me "I wouldn't come back here."

Fantastic experience: Highly would recommend this driving school for any of your driving tests and lessons. I took the driving test here and it was nice to see that they care more about the safety of the driver rather than flunking the test taker and taking the money. Workers were very nice and gave good constructive criticism. I would highly recommend taking the test with Dante, he's very cool and understanding with your test taking needs. He also gives very useful tips for driving and does his job very well.

Fantastic experience: I took the driving test for a Colorado Driver's License at this location. A very pleasant and organized experience.

Negative experience: Lady at the desk was friendly and accommodating - service was quick, I waited 20-30 at most to begin my test. I took three stars off because my instructor, Joseph had a thick Vietnamese accent that impeded my ability to understand verbal instructions. If your'e taking a driver's test, communication should be clear. If you're a first time driver and you're nervous about your test, go somewhere else. They only take cash and don't issue receipts either.

Negative experience: I took the drivers test yesterday and I couldn't understand anything my instructor was saying to me because his foreign accent was so harsh and I couldn't understand literally anything. I failed it. I couldn't even understand why I failed it because I literally couldn't understand a word he was saying. I called them after I left to get feedback on why I failed so I could figure out why I did and the lady was very rude that answered and wouldnt give me an explanation. Took my drivers test at the Community Driver School in lakewood off wadsworth today and passed no problem.
