Fantastic experience: I joined Ben’s Driving Academy when I was 16. My mom and I were looking for a good quality driving school to teach me how to safely drive and operate a vehicle. Ben’s has done just that, and more. They have provided me with very valuable lessons through driver’s ed along with doing driving hours that I will hold onto forever. I appreciate everything they have done for me which includes but is not limited to, excellent communication, caring about my wellbeing, and wanting me to succeed in life. Without Ben’s, I would have not been able to pass my driver’s license Road Test on my first try. Thank you again Ben’s for all you have done for me and I hope you continue to do the same for others!

Fantastic experience: I have been driving in a foreign country for 24 years but now I’m in the United States and have to get a US driver’s license. I enrolled for only one class at Ben’s Driving Academy. The instructor was very nice and patient. He gave me a lot of advice on how to overcome my bad driving habits. When I attended my road test, the other instructor was quite helpful. And I got passed in my first road test! Besides, they make all the arrangements very efficiently. I’m so grateful for Ben’s Driving Academy and highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Ben’s driving school was amazing. They were very helpful with transferring my in class time with another school to count in total for me. Also their system of texting for lessons works very well for the consumer, I will say I got a few texts at late times of the night but a response is a response. They were very good about my schedule and I mostly landed with Issac who is a great instructor and a good at giving advice in driving and in life. I will say that you should be as polite as possible while texting because it does give you an advantage especially if you are persistent, note that the responses will be blunt but they have to text all of their students enrolled so it isn’t personal. Ben’s driving academy was speedy in enabling me to take the driving test, I got my license one day after I was eligible.

Fantastic experience: The driving school with the best instructors for one to pass

Fantastic experience: I took 10 hours from the Adult Lessons Package with Ben's driving school. All the instructors are professional and patient at teaching. They picked me up and dropped on time and taught me everything from scratch and gave me plenty of practice in different driving scenarios - residential, parking lots, highways, rain and snow. I also appreciated their flexibility with scheduling classes. They also prepped me in detail for the road test and handles the morning of the road test very smoothly. I want to particularly thank Ron and Isaac for all their help and encouragement from the first lesson, logistics and passing my test!

Negative experience: It's the worst ever driving school. Their program is v. expensive with a lot of hidden fees and changing fee schedule! Unorganized snd v. short practices that don't even match sessions planned time! They are sponsoring road tests against $170 plus RMV fee, and this is actually against nothing but a. v. old car that you can get with no more than $50! They scheduled a road test appointment on behalf of my daughter using her RMV account without informing her and without her authorization, and we ended up paying it out of pocket as she missed it. Most of the time, they don't reply to phone calls or emails from customers or students. They mishandled customers' complaints and treated customers in an impolite and rude way! There is no management team you can trust ! They charged us for a refresh session that my daughter didn't request! Their training practices are v. weak and without parents support through additional practices, a student would never pass the RMV exam. Don't waste your money with this this Driving Academy. It is really the worst ever!

Negative experience: They register you for road tests without checking with you and I had to pay for all those wrongly scheduled road tests which i never took. Also they never ask before scheduling road test

Fantastic experience: I’d been in a serious accident in the past and was a very anxious adult student. So, I read hundreds of reviews before settling on the school. Very happy with BEN’S Driving school. They are very clear and patient instructors and help with gaining confidence behind the wheel. I failed my first driver’s test because I was so anxious and messed up my left and right (100% on me), but Isaac knew exactly how to get me to be comfortable, so I passed on the next test! Will definitely be coming back to them when my little sibling starts driving!

Fantastic experience: They know what they’re doing. They train you exactly for what’s going to happen on the road test. Isaac and Ron are great and professionals and tell you what went wrong during those practice hours(positive reinforcement). I will recommend them for everyone who’s trying to learn driving.

However, a significant hiccup during the road exam process has prompted me to share a word of caution for future students. The driving school excelled in teaching the basics of driving, covering essential maneuvers, road rules, and safety measures. The instructors were patient, knowledgeable, and ensured that I was well-prepared for the challenges of the road. I approached the road exam with confidence, expecting a seamless experience based on the assurances provided by the school. Unfortunately, my positive experience took a hit when it came time for the road exam with Ben's Driving Academy as my sponsor. I had been told that arriving early would allow me to bypass the Saturday morning rush and minimize waiting time. Regrettably, this was not the case. Despite my punctuality, the wait for the exam stretched beyond four hours -- significantly longer than expected. This prolonged waiting period had an unexpected impact on my nerves and overall performance during the test. It became apparent that the stress of waiting for an extended period affected my concentration and mental preparedness. Recognizing the impact of this, I sought an alternative arrangement for the exam. I eventually took the road exam at a different testing location, and the contrast was notable. The wait time was minimal, and the overall atmosphere was conducive to a more relaxed testing environment. As a result, I was able to showcase my driving skills without the added pressure of a prolonged wait. Ben's Driving Academy did an excellent job teaching the fundamentals of driving, and I am grateful for the valuable lessons I learned from them. However, potential students should be aware that their performance on a road exam may be influenced by factors beyond their control, such as waiting times and the testing environment. It's worth considering alternative options for the exam to ensure the best possible conditions for success.

Negative experience: If there was a way to give zero I would. Please don’t ever use this schools services. They don’t answer calls, they register you for road tests without checking with you and it ends up resulting in no shows. When you finally get a hold confront them they are extremely unprofessional and rude. Terrible service.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved this driving school, I started in September and at first I had my worries because of my anxiety on driving especially being a first time driver. I didn’t have much experience prior however I opened up to my instructor who I had the majority of the time; Ron. While driving with Ron I felt comfortable and was able to drive confidently. Although it took me 10 months to learn how to drive and pass my road test. Ron amongst other instructors were always extremely kind. I was always told to take my time when it came to driving and to go at my own speed which honestly helped the process a lot better. I do recommend to anyone in the area to go through Bens Driving as you’ll feel comfortable and safe learning how to drive at your own pace. I adored being able to see the instructors as it not only felt like a professional setting but a friendly setting as well. What really impressed me was the consistency and remembering my name most importantly and not just going on with the lesson. It felt great to be recognized and seen as a human being just wanting to drive rather than some other nervous kid driving. Scheduling was always fast and on time, and there was always room for my availability. Although I passed I do wish to say my proper goodbyes to all the instructors as I will sincerely miss driving with them and having amazing conversations!

Fantastic experience: Ron is an amazing instructor, the academy prepares you really well for the test in Milford. Just took a 1 hour lesson and road test sponsorship went really well. They pick and drop you for the lesson so its very convenient esp during work hours and the test is on a Saturday morning so easy to manage.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Ben’s driving academy. I took my 30 hours of classes with another school which I wish I didn’t if I knew about bens! When it came to scheduling driving hours with that school they were so unprofessional, so I dropped out. My friends mom had recommended me to Ben’s driving academy. Which thank god she had because once again great experience with them. Ron was an amazing teacher, he’s so patient with you and everything especially cause I barely even knew how to drive. I did 7 hours with Ron and he taught me everything I needed to know for the Roadtest. I passed it on one try. I was SHOCKED I did. If you’re thinking of a driving school to join Ben’s Academy is the way to go.

Fantastic experience: The lessons were good. It took me some time to understand there accent, but whatever they taught helped me to get my drivers license. If they can allot one instructor for every lesson, that will be better since the new instructor does not has to figure out what was being taught before, and tech his techniques.

He explains techniques clearly by breaking them down into steps. During initial few lessons, I was very under confident & nervous, Ron was constantly motivating and supporting me. Fantastic experience: I just love my instructor Ron . He is fantastic with his tricks and formulas which helped me. I took the 12 hours lessons because I was freaking afraid of driving.I failed my first driving test because I touched the grass off road while pulling over . Slowly slowly it became better and I passed my road test in second attempt today. I had 2 hours class with Ron a day before my second attempt. He is too good . He never scolded me when I did wrong, always encouraged me not to give up It was because of Ron I could have enough confidence to drive . Thank you again

Negative experience: I took a couple of driving lessons from Bens academy and gave my driving test through them in August . Beware that they will use your information to book bulk slots at the rmv without your knowledge and consent. This happened twice to me. You don’t realize this until you check the rmv website to pay the fees. One test was booked after taking just one class with him. After providing Ron with proof, he said he’d refund the amount within 30 days, this was back in August. Its December now and I still haven’t received the refund. It’s tough to contact him since he avoids calls, messages, emails and is almost never present in the office. Do your self a favor and don’t book your test through him or give him any of you information. If you do take a class keep checking your rmv account to see for any unknown charges on in your account.
