Fantastic experience: NTSI is a great course to take. I hadn't had a traffic citation in over 23 years, and the materials in the NTSI course is very informative and provides plenty of information to reflect back on/over to help one become more in tune with their driving behaviors, not to mention how helpful their customer service representatives are.

Positive experience: Good informative content. The content luckily outweighed the very many misspellings and quite unclear sentences. Some parts of the course read as though someone without a native command of english wrote them. Please take your own course and proofread it. Otherwise, very informative and pretty interesting, when understood.

They answered back with an email in one hour with approval for the class and instantly I paid for it with my card the. took the class and in four hours I had a certificate.. Negative experience: I took the online version of the course. The learning approach was nothing more than page after page of content to be read, and the grammar and writing style of the content was poor. It got the job done, but this could have been a much more enjoyable experience.
HI Elizabeth, I'm sorry that you didn't love the course you took. Unfortunately, we are restricted by the state of Arizona to a very specific set of information that can be presented, and a very specific format to present it in. The course you took is state approved and has to be in the format that it's in. We would love to modernize certain aspects of the course but that requires the state to make some regulatory changes first. We are hopeful that by next year we will have state approval to modernize the course and add interactivity that will make it a more pleasant instructional experience. Until then unfortunately, it's mostly out of our hands. Thanks for your business!
Positive experience: Testing materials were easy to follow; However, for those of us that are fast readers, you should allow immediate access to the testing portion of this testing, for each module, rather than having to wait for the clock to count down the 10-15 minutes before you can test what you have read.

Fantastic experience: There are seriously HUNDREDS of online traffic safety schools to choose from. After doing a ton of research and going through the extensive list, I found that NTSI was one of the best schools to choose from. They offered the best prices and had the best user interface. They were very straight forward and very user friendly. I highly recommend using NTSI when you have the need for a defensive driving school.

Negative experience: Awful experience. I had to log in AGAIN after each SECTION, not module. That probably added an hour to my time. I did that maybe 100 times...WASTE of time. 1 star for interesting info. Some grammar errors. Oh believe me....I CONTACTED customer service. She was very helpfully, sent me a copy of the exact words I would need to use to log in after every segment....ie my first job was babysitting, not babysitter. Helpful. HOWEVER I had to log in correctly at least 100 times, like I said. I spent lots of time logging in.....

Fantastic experience: This course was extremely useful. Even though I practice safe driving, and the ticket I got last month was the first one in the more than 70 years I have been driving, I realized I have not been dealing with traffic around me as well as I should have. I actually ended up in a wrong lane and could have caused a serious accident. And even though as a physics teacher I understand momentum and collision dynamics, it was all presented from a different perspective and increased my understanding. I thought this course was extremely well put together and came me a completely new mindset when behind the wheel. I think everyone after the age of 60 should take this course once a year. We do develop bad habits without recognizing it is happening. Thank you for this course!

Fantastic experience: 62yo and got my first Traffic Violation Ticker, ever. More upset , angry and distressed than I can convey. However, there is a great program that allows you to take this course, and have the ticket reconciled off of your driving and insurance history. It cost less than the ticket itself. Go figure. This course is wonderful, informative, easy to navigate and incredibly convenient. Nothing but good for you. The online format is flexible while being 100% accountable for reviewing your whole approach to the privilege of driving, and bringing some information to you that you will choose to otherwise live your life without, and that would be a shame. I learned a ton, finished it all easily. The tests are formatted so that you learn a few things, not so that you fail or cringe trying to pass. Sign up, you will be so glad you did. Fantastic experience: I took the online Defensive Driving Course and wow, it opened my eyes to so much. If I hadn't taken this course I would never have realized I was driving irresponsibly sometimes. I actually feel really good after completing it and look forward to being a better driver, and keeping everyone safe. In my opinion, this course should be mandatory for all student drivers to complete before they can get on the road. If you haven't gotten a citation or anything like that, I still recommend this highly among anyone who should practice better road safety.

Negative experience: Traffic school is bad enough, but if I pay for audio and the audio is done I should be able to move on but no. It kept me sitting there with all the info covered for the length of time they deemed correct even though they were able to present all the material audibly quicker. Most educated people can read significantly faster than they speak. This implies if I had not chosen for the audio upgrade, I could have read all the material significantly faster than what they required me to stay on the page. I am not a speed reader; suspect my wife could read all the material on the section in about 50% of the time they make you wait on the presentation page. One of the “correct” answers on what to do in a school zone is when encountering a slower car you must pass it cautiously. Must is one of those words similar to always that test experts indicate is virtually never true but let’s look at other alternatives. U can not slowly follow behind the slow vehicle. I cannot stop and let the kids out of the car or into the car. I must pass cautiously. I had another answer that indicated which should I do and the text was incomplete so therefore it could not be a wrong answer. Shows poor proofreading (but admittedly this was most extreme instance). I see the response but 1) if your own audio finishes before the allotted time then that is a problem to just sit there. 2) requiring more time on a page than it requires to read it out aloud is absurd because most people can read faster than they can speak. If there is really the minimum time required then more content should be added but it would be better to lesson time allocated. It does not appear you looked at the question and answer I referred to. I do not care who it is reviewed by, it is incorrect. There are numerous things driver can do besides pass with caution. Clearly if you have to pass the slow vehicle, you do it with caution, but I would argue it is far safer to simply not pass the slow vehicle. Look at the question and the “correct” answer realizing must means you have to pass the slow vehicle. Why am I required to pass it? It is wrong regardless of who has reviewed it and I invite you to look at it and indicate any reason why I must pass the slow vehicle. If this is truly the material and time the state requires then they should review the entire program as this sucked. Content too detailed, too long required to sit on most content pages, and at least 2 questions with issue (one with poor answer and one with a display issue). Definitely earned the one star.
Hi Dan, thanks for your comments. The time blocks allotted for answers and the speed of text are state mandated and completely out of NTSI's control. We know it can be frustrating for faster readers, but it's by state law and every traffic school provider is required to operate the same way. The language you referred to including the word "must", and the answers are also state reviewed and approved. Fantastic experience: The setup process was made easy with a phone call to create my account . I didn't have any issues with logging out the course and my work being saved. I hope I don't ever get mandated again to take a driving course but NTSI made it easy and painless .

Positive experience: Many of the words were written like it was from Britain - certain spellings of words etc. Also, there were many grammatical errors and some of those errors made it very hard to get the gist of what was being read. Overall, not a bad program.

Fantastic experience: really easy to use interface, but all the data is really old. nothing about legal marijuana, nothing about anything since 2008. no mention of carpool lane rules, which are misunderstood by many. Mis-spellings, my favorite being "yeild", for pete's sake.

Positive experience: This online driving course was informative and worth my time, however, many of the statistics were from more than a decade ago. I would recommend this course if it were updated.

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful option for defense driving online course. The registration and courses were easy to figure out. Fantastic experience: This course really has some great reminders on basic traffic safety and good personal habits to encourage which could make your driving better and safer. The alcohol blocks are well done as well. I didn't really want to take this course but getting the ticket and the worry about insurance price increases motivated me to press on. I would encourage anyone so exposed to bite the bullet and opt for the course. You will learn some / relearn some valuable info and insights that just might save your life or that of your loved ones.
