US ONE Driving School

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with US ONE DS!!! I have never driven before and was afraid of getting behind the wheel haha! Especially HASSAN made sure that I was ready for the road test! And even had his little white board where he would explain things like “right of way” or parallel parkings etc. and I passed it with 95 points!!! Go to Hassan you won’t regret it! And also everyone at the school is very friendly and professional all the instructors have contributed to my learning experience which I appreciated a lot. And big shoutout to Jessica she is so sweet and also very helpful with scheduling and with suggestions. Thank you again I sure will recommend this school to my friends in the future!

Fantastic experience: I got the Road Test Car Rental today with Ozhan. He was at the meet up point in time and gave me some overview of the test when we were on the way. I have a drivers license in Brazil for 15 years and already drove in NY when it was still valid (6 month), but is different drive in the streets from the standard road test. His tips were very helpful. I recommend this driving school and Ozhan.

Fantastic experience: So glad I chose this driving school. The 5 lesson package was affordable and the perfect amount of lessons for me. The office/Jessica answered all my questions, were quick with confirming my lessons, flexible and responsive when I needed to make changes. Shout out to Hassan! I knew from the start I wanted the same instructor for all my lessons and I couldn’t have passed the road test without him. He was informative, patient, and I appreciate him pointing out and focusing on my areas for improvement in a way that helped instead of discouraged. Thank you!!

Negative experience: Scam. Paid over $700 just to have late instructors that really didn't care whether I passed or failed, they just wanted their hours. Was totally unprepared for the road test and then when I failed they wanted over $200 to book another one even though they said we would have a free second test after the first. The "school" is all about money and not about having a high success rate. Try a different school because this one is not it for new drivers.

Fantastic experience: US ONE Driving School is truly remarkable. I was so stressed to drive and they made me feel very safe and calm throughout this whole learning process. Jessica at US ONE Driving School is so calm, kind, understanding and patient. She answered all my million questions with patience and handled everything. I had a few different instructors and they were all very good but I had most lessons with Hassan. He was very patient, calm and understanding of my worries. I'm so glad that i got him as my instructor. He is such a good teacher. I can't recommend him and this driving school enough.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience, especially with my final instructor Hassan. He prepared me perfectly for the test and taught me the most amazing method to parallel park perfectly every time. I was able to pass my test on the first try despite my incredible nervousness and doubt, but the astonishing teaching kicked in and I got perfect points in parallel parking and three-point turn. Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience with US One Driving School. Although I’m already an experienced driver, I haven’t drive a lot since I moved to NYC, 4 years ago. And also there are few different rules from São Paulo to NYC! OZhan was my Driver Instructor. I can say, he is a Pro. He is very patient and doesn’t waste time. I really appreciate all US One Drive School Team, since, Jessica, the Receptionist, the instructor which applied the 5 Hours Pre License Course; and especially The driver Instructor OZhan. In a few hours driver classes, I passed the road test the first time I took it! (15 days ago!!!!!!!!) Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience: Took 16 hours of lessons and spent time with all the instructors (Oz, Adrian, Hassan, and Emmanuel). They were all excellent instructors, patient and understanding, and they are not shy to point out mistakes you made and what you need to work on so listen to what they say, they are the professionals here and they know what the DMV examiners are looking for. When the DMV canceled my first road test in Red Hook because of rain (Even though it didn't rain until hours later...), the school was on top of it and was able to schedule me for the first available road test just a week later in Astoria Heights. With all their help, I was able to pass my road test on the first attempt. Money well spent. If you're looking for a good driving school, this is the one.

Fantastic experience: I had Ozhan as one of my instructors and he was awesome. It was my first time driving in NYC and he made it a completely stress-free environment. His tips were extremely helpful, and I adapted to them almost instantly. I was beyond prepared once the test came--highly reccomend! I also had Hassan as one of my instructors in the city. He gave me great tips on how to be more cautious when I drive. Although he called me out on all my mistakes, I appreciated them because they helped me improve. He most definitely prepared me for the road test. Highly recommend as well.

Negative experience: My wife had a great experience with this school pre-pandemic so I have signed up my son for the driving lessons and test package here (10+test). The positives: the instructors are good. The negatives: everything else. The school is expensive; cars are worn out; the reps scheduling lessons made wrong bookings on several occasions (timing/ location) - super annoying; they only schedule tests at sites convenient for them, for example, Red Hook in Brooklyn which is a difficult location; no way they can take you to Staten Island which has the best test sites (we would have paid the premium for Staten Island). After this school and a failed first attempt at Red Hook, my son took two extra lessons at a different school in Brooklyn and passed the test in Staten Island. My recommendation is to look elsewhere for your driving school in NYC.

Fantastic experience: One of the best driving schools and super affordable! I took my driving classes with Adrian and Emmanuel and they are both great, they made driving super easy and explain everything you need to know for your road test. I would definitely recommend taking your courses with both of them!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here and I highly recommend US One for new and experienced drivers. I took the 5 hour lesson + road test package. My lessons were divided between Adrian (3), Emmanual (1), and Owen (1). All of them were very helpful and catered each lesson to my needs. Adrian was very patient and quick to address mistakes and rectify them. Emmanual helped me with Tips and Tricks for parallel park and 3 point turns. Owen helped me get used to the left hand driving system. My road test was scheduled at the Red Hook location for which I was fairly confident and I ended up passing. The school suggests drivers to schedule to their final lesson near their road test location to allow us to get familiar with the test site location. This was very helpful. US One is great and dependable!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with US One driving school. I got the all inclusive package with five driving lessons and got my license within a week. Jessica is very organized and helped me book all the lessons and the pre-licensing course. Most of my lessons were with Hassan, who is very relaxed and friendly and was incredibly helpful in teaching me the details I need to know to pass the test.

Fantastic experience: I want to take the time to thank US One Driving School for the exceptional service and amazing staff. Everyone was super professional and accommodating. Starting with Jessica, the moment I walked into the office and explained the driving package I needed - she told me everything I would need in detail and emailed all the information before I left the office. Jessica also provided a discount b/c I told her about the glowing reviews I found on Yelp. It wasn't a big discount but I still appreciate I would also like to thank Adrian and Hassan for all there patients, detailed lessons and amazing teaching skills as driving instructors. Both were very informative about rules and techniques to use to take the road test. Adrian suggested going to youtube to view the area we would be driving b/c of lack of lines on the road and narrow turns and Hassan used a dry erase board to share some of their knowledge and simplity the experience. They both shared great tips on turns, parking, U Turns and driving overall. What I didn't know or understand they went over several times. One aspect I appreciated was every time I met with the instructors (Same or Different) we did a quick review of the previous lesson, which I found very helpful. Day of my exam I meet with Adrian and we drove to our test site and practiced in the area for an hour to get comfortable with the roads. With all the preparation and motivational talk. I'm happy to say I PASSED my road test. I completed my parallel parking on the first try which was an area I struggled with. Thank you US One :-)

Fantastic experience: I had the greatest experience with US ONE Driving school. I bought ten lessons/road test package and my lessons were evenly split between Adrian and Victor. Victor was great. Very friendly, funny guy. He made the lessons feel super comfortable and turned what could easily have been embarrassing moments into memorable teaching moments. Adrian was very calm and patient. He gave good direction on how to avoid mistakes and how to correct them when I made them. I took my road test with him today and taking the class the morning of was super helpful. He saved me with a lot of last minute tips and calmed my anxiety. I'm super grateful and thanks to both my teachers, I passed on the first try! AND Thank you to the school as well. they made it VERY easy to schedule lessons, even last minute and super quick response time.

Fantastic experience: I recommend. The instructors are great, and I was able to pass the test because of them. Specifically Hassan and Victor. They both immediately recognized where my flaws were and pointed them out to me, giving me tips on how to improve. Victor helped me to build confidence in my driving and hone my skills, and Hassan helped me to master the things I struggled with and learn to drive under pressure, which was critical for my passing of the test. The staff was also extremely helpful in scheduling everything with me on one call; from all my lessons to scheduling the driving test all in a couple of weeks.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this driving school, specifically my instructor, Victor. I came in due to having a foreign license and needing to take my NY road test. In a very short timeframe, the school managed to secure my road test, which I would not have passed were it not for Victor. Prior to my actual test, Victor got me proficient and gave me the methods and know-how to pass the test on my first attempt with no faults. His teaching is very matter of fact, which is what you need, as you want to have a realistic view and feedback on how you're faring as a driver. I was able to parallel park, do a k-turn and maneuver very easily based on how he instructed me. If you want someone who teaches you how to pass and gives you confidence to feel ready, then look no further. 10/10

My instructor, Hassan, was extremely nice and helpful, and got me from my first lesson to passing my road test and getting my license in less than a month. After I failed a first road test, Hassan helped me practice the things I had gotten marked down for, and I passed on my second road test less than two weeks later.

Did 15 lessons with them - Azar Farhad and Hassan are all really good instructors and are super patient and know when to give critical feedback. Staff are friendly and also help with road test/ appointment scheduling which is helpful. Would really recommend this school for first time drivers!

Fantastic experience: I had Hassan as my instructor and he was AMAZING! When I first started taking lessons with this school, I had essentially no driving experience. However, Hassan absolutely saved me. I had no control of the steering wheel at first, and then Hassan told me, "You ride a bicycle, right? When you ride a bicycle, you hold the handlebars in one place. Same with this car, you hold the steering wheel straight and you do not wiggle it." That quote from him changed everything. My driving greatly improved after he told me that. He gave me pointers with every mistake that I made. He made sure I practiced enough so that I knew how to do everything. (turning, maneuvering car, 3-point turning, parallel parking, etc.) I was able to correct all of my mistakes and drive smoothly and safely. With his instruction, I passed the road test today on the first attempt! I absolutely recommend this school and this instructor.

Fantastic experience: I contacted US One Driving school for my 17 year old daughter, the ladies in the office were so helpful and professional the first time I called and everytime I emailed to make changes or with questions. Positive experience: Hassan is the best ever. So nice, a great instructor and can't recommend him highly enough. Hassan gets a 10/5 stars. US One did put me through a lot of scheduling issues where they would schedule me for the wrong time. I would say US One is 100% worth it for Hassan, but be prepared for the office/admin to be highly disorganized.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with US ONE Driving School. My 17 daughter was a brand-new driver. She was lucky to have a wonderful instructor named Farhad. We did the 10-package set inclusive of having a final lesson the day of the test and use of the car she had her lessons in. I drove with her a lot to get her comfortable, but Farhad taught her how to drive so I could be the practice teacher. In addition, Teresa in the office was an excellent resource in scheduling the road test and organizing her lessons.

Fantastic experience: I am really satisfied with everything from US 1 Driving school. Staffs who were helping me to register and scheduling classes were amazing, and also the driving instructor Hassan was also amazing. They didn't try to oversell anything to me, and just recommended me what I would need and offered the best package that I would need. Also Hassan was a great instructor who taught me what exactly I need to do to pass the road test, and fixed all of my bad habits. I passed the test on first try just missing 5 points. I highly recommend taking at least a class from here for road test to prepare yourself :)

Fantastic experience: Hands down, the best driving school. The locations where I was having my driving lessons were perfect because they were busy enough streets where you had a lot of opportunities to learn how to approach different situations. Definitely prepares you better than driving in Brooklyn streets from my experience. I took most of my lessons with Hassan and he has been a pleasure to learn from. He is an amazing instructor, enthusiastic, prepares you for the possible worse, capable of reading and understanding a student's concerns from the way they drive and will not prevail to address them. I really appreciate that he also challenges his students if he believes they are ready. He believed in me, was the source of my confidence, and I passed my test without feeling nervous. Thank you so much!!! If Hassan isn't available, Farhad is also another great instructor that I've had briefly. He was also very patient with me and incredibly friendly. Thank you US ONE!!!

Fantastic experience: Convenient location for driving classes. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend my instructor Hassan. He’s patient, encouraging, respectful, and experienced in teaching. He took a thought-through approach to cover each topic at a proper time, and has a ton of experiences to simplify techniques like turning and parallel parking, which are hard to manage by most new learners.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with US ONE from start to finish. They were able to quickly book my road test (using one of their cars) over the phone along with a couple of practice lessons for a very reasonable price. Hassan, my driving instructor, was awesome! Extremely friendly and he taught me some great tricks for parallel parking, 3 point turns, etc. We ran through a mock test in the same neighborhood where my road test would be to make sure I was ready. Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly, flexible, and helpful front desk and instructor. Theresa always made my life extremely simple in fixing the times and days to take my lessons and road test. Hassan, my driving instructor, made driving a car extremely easy, taught me how to parallel park in 5 minutes with just some simple tricks, and became a friend by the time I took my road test. I highly advise everybody to go here!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend taking lessons with US ONE Driving School. Every instructor was pleasant and helpful, but I enjoyed taking lessons with Azar. I recommend Azar because he allows you to get a feel for each part of driving and allows you to learn from any mistakes. You wouldn’t feel like the driving control is being taken from you. He is also very calm and patient, which allows you to feel more comfortable and relax a little rather than being nervous each time. I had him for about 13 lessons and I passed my road test on the first try. I understand everyone is different, but when you have an instructor as great as him I’m sure it won’t take you too long to feel comfortable with driving and go for the test.

Fantastic experience: US One driving school delivers high quality drivers lessons. They are helpful, flexible, always available and know exactly what is needed to prepare for the road test. Also after you have your license they can help with learning how to drive on the highway or other additional skills that aren't required for the road test. The instructors, particularly Hassan, are excellent. Hassan is a very good teacher who is considerate, calm, emphatic, very safe, and kind. He knows exactly what to teach you for the road test and how to make sure you become a safe and good driver. He is attentive and will focus on the things that are not yet perfect. He adapts his teaching to your needs. He knows everything about driving, the road rules, traffic in New York. He has good people skills and understands quickly what kind of approach each individual person needs. He is the best driving teacher a starting student could wish for! And he is excellent for experienced drivers who need to brush up their skills, by just focusing on what's needed.

Positive experience: Overall, I had a good experience. In total, I practiced driving for 20 hours with an instructor. I felt this was necessary because I had never touched the steering wheel of a car. I mostly got around with public transportation (MTA, NYC Taxi, etc.). I studied chemical engineering in college and felt that a driver's license was important to conveniently and reliably access certain parts of Long Island, New Jersey, and upstate New York. There's a market for chemical engineers in these sites. I learned a ton from my instructors (mostly Farhad, but I did book lessons with Hassan and Azar too). The driving lessons covered everything on a standard road test. I felt that I was fully prepared. I am satisfied with the end result. I would definitely recommend this school to people interested in learning how to drive.

Fantastic experience: Instructors taught me how to drive and tips for road test kindly. Also, the price of each course is reasonable. Even if you are Japanese or person who don't confident in English, there is nothing to worry about.

He will mentor & support your learning journey all the way till your road test. I never drove in my life and passed my road test on the 1st attempt. I previous worked with other school but I was just struggling with my turns, but after few lessons with Hassan, I learned how to be comfortable and safe behind the wheel.
