Stop and Go Driving School

Fantastic experience: Stop and Go Driving School was a great experience! My first instructor Kaleb was very patient and laid back which was great since I was nervous. Bill was my second instructor and he took extra time to ensure I understood the maneuvers that are on the Arizona road test and he went in depth on why things are done the way they are. The other staff was kind and courteous on the phone and it was an overall 10/10 experience!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely nothing but great things to say about Stop and Go School. I started with very little to no knowledge about being on the road to gaining a lot of knowledge, direction, and confidence about safe driving very quickly within weeks. The instructors are very patient, engaged with their students, and provided useful feedback on where to improve. It has been a pleasure and so much fun learning in each session. Huge thanks to Brittney and Phil for instructing me to be a safe driver. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is a beginner at driving.

Fantastic experience: I Had bill as my final instructor who gave me my final exam and he helped me feel comfortable driving and also dove into detail about driving and safeties involving driving and helped me better understand these things as well as the basics.

Fantastic experience: I took my lessons with Peter Fell and could not be more happy with my decision to do so. Stop and Go’s system is efficient and convenient. I passed my driver’s test after only a couple of lessons and did it all with the driving school. Fantastic experience: We bought one of their packages for our granddaughter to learn how to drive. The front office was very helpful (Josh) whenever I needed help with appointments or if I had questions. Our granddaughter loved the instructors. They all treated her nicely and were very patient with her as well. If you're looking for a school for your child, this school is worth a try.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with this driving school, which many friends recommended. Everything related to the training program is straightforward and well-organized. I had the opportunity to have Mr. Peter Fell as my instructor for all the five courses I purchased. Peter is not only a very efficient and knowledgeable teacher but also a cool and fun person with an amiable personality. I enjoyed learning from Peter and appreciate the support I got from him and the driving school's management team. I recommend the school and Mr. Fell!

Fantastic experience: Mr.Bill Oakes was my instructor. I opted for the 10 hour class and got my license through the school. It's a hassle free process. Both the school and the instructor are very responsive and really care about getting things right and getting the student through the license test/ process. I must say, Mr.Bill was a really good instructor. He gave me feedback in every class, fine-tuned my driving skills and got me ready for the test day. He's very encouraging and deals well with the students in identifying and working on their individual strengths/weaknesses. Apart from obtaining a license, these classes helped me in becoming a confident, decent and safe driver. I highly recommend the school and Mr.Bill as an instructor if you want to obtain a license in Tucson and gain good driving skills in general.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Stop and Go Driving School! The time to get lessons scheduled was reasonable and easy to use their platform. My son had a variety of drivers but had Michael Price the most and enjoyed his approach and the pointers he was given. All instructors were great and have unique insights to assist new drivers. Positive experience: I loved this program! I’ve been someone who was afraid of driving for years and this turned a new leaf for me. I did the 10 hour driving with driving test. It only took me about 2.5 weeks and was very helpful. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that not all instructors are equal. The first one I had barely talked to me and was honestly not helpful at all. Thankfully you can choose your instructors but I would definitely ask around about them. My favorites were Bill, Phil, Gilbert, and Rose!

Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue. I received services from Stop and Go a few months ago. I called and had purchased the package with five driving lessons and the permit class as well. If I remember, I took the permit class on a Saturday, and by Monday afternoon I had my paper permit in my hands. I passed the test first try. After receiving my physical permit in the mail, I immediately signed up for my first class on their website. I believe there is an app as well. My first, as well as second and third, class was with Bill. He was very much focused on procedure, safety, and awareness. I really liked that especially the safety part! He also showed me some neat tips and tricks for parking. He definitely has some wild stories as well! My fourth class was with Michael. He did a good job at making me feel comfortable. He seemed much more relaxed. He had me drive through a few interesting routes that improved my confidence in my driving. My last class was with Shawn. This man was very professional. He also really knows his stuff. He also made sure I was prepared for the test, and honestly, the supplemental info he provided not only helped me pass my test, but was helpful for me to know as a soon-to-be new driver. Thank you Stop and Go Driving School!

Fantastic experience: We signed my son and daughter up for Stop and Go once they both received their permit. Peter was amazing! Both of my kids enjoyed being in the car with him, saying he had an amazing sense of humor and made the entire experience more enjoyable. You can clearly see how much both of my kids have grown from learning through his knowledge and years of experience. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Bill Oakes as a driving instructor. He’s an incredibly patient person who will do everything in his power to make sure you’re going to always be safe on the road. I’m a 16 year old girl and I was incredibly nervous to start driving, but Bill was very helpful to me and always made sure that I was comfortable with whatever we may be going over and was a very kind and patient with me and any mistakes I made. Fantastic experience: Was lucky enough to have Bill as my instructor and he was great. Really made me feel more confident when driving and was very good at giving directions without yelling or being rude. Really enjoyed my driving experience with him and am glad I got the opportunity to have him as my teacher. He taught me and explained a lot of things which most other instructors or schools wouldn’t and gave me amazing tips on parking and general rules of driving. For sure really helped me improve in only 2 hours. We were able to get a lot done in such short time and he organized our lesson very well. If you plan on getting driving lessons, even if it’s for only 2 hours, request for Bill!

I had various lessons with different instructors, however, Bill was undoubtedly one of the best instructors. His advice and overall teaching methods worked wonders and allowed me to develop good habits on the road while also gaining confidence in my driving capabilities. Fantastic experience: I am a foreign, first time learning how to drive. I choose this school as it had the best-deal packages and reviews. Because of my time availability, I ended up having different instructors almost every lesson. With each instructor I learned a lot from, but my favorite was Peter. I drove with Peter in my last lessons and I enjoyed his teaching style, he gives clear instructions and is very respectful and knowledgeable. He taught me to do parallel parking!!! Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience! My 19 year old daughter had very little practice before taking the 10 hour course with Stop and Go. Bill was an absolutely fantastic instructor! He really cares about his job and his students and it shows. He is patient, encouraging, and very thorough. He took time to get to know my daughter and that really helped alleviate her anxiety. His calm, light-hearted demeanor and careful instruction helped her succeed in getting her license much sooner than she thought she would. Fantastic experience: I had been driving for a few months before starting stop and go. Though the scheduling was hard because the system wasn't quite working as it should, we had a contact that would correspond with my mother to schedule sessions. we got the 10 hours behind the wheel package, and it really helped with my confidence in my ability to be safe on the road. the way it worked out, I had all sessions with Cole Smith as the instructor. All the lessons were really helpful and fun, Cole made all the time fun and informative on mainly safety and smooth driving- with a side of terrible bee jokes and puns. overall, I had a great experience, would recommend to anyone looking to learn how to drive safely!

I had Jackson, Gilbert, Shawn, and Deborah for my 10 hour behind the wheel training, and each of them had great techniques and pointers on how to safely operate a motor vehicle on the road. I appreciate that each of them had their own way of teaching valuable information, but I want to especially thank Debbie for extensive information about the dangers on the road, as well as preparation for the road test in which I took my road test with Debbie and passed! Fantastic experience: Debbie is such a fantastic driving teacher that she should have her own book and YouTube channel. One of her 18 year old students learned to drive in just five 2-hour lessons with barely any practice before or even in between the lessons. If you need to brush up on your driving skills, I would make an appointment today with Debbie at Stop and Go Driving. She is in high demand and her schedule fills up quickly. The staff who run the school are very easy to work with. Their system gets results.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to give a huge compliment to Shawn and his driving student Jacob for helping me out tonight! I ended up hitting a pot hole on Irvington and was having trouble getting the lug nuts off the tire that was flat and they stopped and changed my whole tire for me!! If they hadn’t stopped I would have been on the side of the road for a while. THANK YOU again Shawn and Jacob for helping me out!!

Fantastic experience: IF YOU’RE AN ADULT OR NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING READ THIS! I had done the permit class as a teenager and was part of the 1% failure rate when I took the test back then. Gave up then because we were just too nervous, but as an adult, I retook the class and passed easily. I then took on 5 classes behind the wheel with Peter. I decided to sign up with him because of all the positive reviews I read, I’m glad I did! HE WAS AMAZINGLY HELPFUL. He took the time to get to know me, was respectful, kind and very funny. Peter was great at giving advice and always made sure I felt safe, comfortable and confident behind the wheel. He explained he has been doing this a long time and it shows. He was great at watching the area around us and had quick reflexes for any mistakes. He was also flexible with the schedule when I needed or let me know if availabilities came up. Despite the fact that I had virtually no driving experience, he was calm and took the time within my first lesson to get me comfortable with just moving the vehicle. During our second lesson I was behind the wheel the whole time. On the way back home, I was even able to get on the highway with no fear at all. We drove in several different areas around town and he encouraged me to practice as much as possible between the 3rd and 4th lessons. On our 4th drive he had me practice the roads used for the driving test, he pointed out the few things I needed to work on. Today was our 5th and final drive. I knew we would be testing today but felt so comfortable I didn’t even realize he was grading me until about halfway through the course when I recognized the area! I was passed with flying colors! I could hardly believe how easy it felt! Of course there are still things I need to work on but practice makes perfect, at least now I have the confidence and knowledge to get there. Thank you so so much Peter! I really couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. I obviously highly recommend working with him, especially if you are an adult late to the game!

He was able to pick me up/drop me off at my house in Sahuarita, which was super convenient. He was always punctual and worked around my schedule. I just finished my last lesson yesterday (and the road test!), and I already have my official license in hand!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Stop and Go. Highly recommended. I took the 10-hour course as an adult learner with Angel and Peter who were incredibly kind and patient instructors. The hours are flexible and one has plenty of options in scheduling sessions. I had never been on the road before, and to top it off I had immense anxiety about driving. I used to be scared of driving in an empty parking lot, lol. My questions were answered in a comprehensive and encouraging manner. I felt extremely comfortable asking questions all the time. Similarly, the instructor feedback was comprehensive. Shout out to Angel for pushing me out of my comfort zone and drive much farther than I had ever expected to on the first session. Peter’s positive outlook and jokes made learning how to drive that much more fun. My biggest thanks to those two.

Fantastic experience: We are so happy with the training that my daughter received from Debbie at Stop and Go Driving School. As parents, we appreciated Debbie’s dedication to the student’s learning: making sure they are comfortable with their learning throughout the process. She is patient, thorough and encouraging. We loved her stories related to driving experiences. I think this made my daughter’s training more memorable as she can tie it back to real-life driving scenarios.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Stop and Go Driving School. I had Jackson Fell as my instructor for 9 lessons, and each lesson was very beneficial to me. Jackson is very outgoing and patient, and is an increadible instructor regardless of the students skill or experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially students in Sahuarita as he will likely offer to pick them up from their home or school.

Fantastic experience: We’ve used Stop and Go Driving for both of our kids, a few years apart. They are great!!! Really helped my kids a lot and gave them the confidence they needed. Fantastic experience: I had 10 hrs behind the wheel classes with Peter Fell. At first I was nervous because I didn’t know what to expect but he called me 2 days before my first class and we had a nice conversation that made me feel good. During my lessons he was really helpful giving me constructive feedback he’s also very funny and that took my nervousness away. Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Stop and Go driving school. My 16 year old had Bill- he was friendly and professional. He went the extra distance to teach my son advanced driving techniques. As a parent it was important for me to have the reassurance from a certified driving instructor that my son was ready to get his license. I’m glad we did it. I will definitely be using them in a couple years when my next kid turns 16.

Fantastic experience: I took 20 hours in total. Peter and Kaleb are my instructors. They are super friendly and helpful. I have no experience with driving before. Fantastic experience: Peter Fell was my instructor for my five sessions and I had zero driving experience before starting. I passed my test after five sessions. I’m grateful to Peter for being a very good instructor. His feedbacks are genuine and very helpful, he also gives you tips on how to get it right, he has a great sense of humor. For a new bee, he has all it takes to get you from 0 to 100.

Fantastic experience: Took the 10 hour driving course and got to work with 3 different instructors. Gilbert, Bill, and Phil. They were all great!! Bill was very thorough and went into great detail as to why we do certain things on the road to stay safe. I felt like I learned a lot from him! However, the person I connected with the most is Gilbert. He is funny, respectful and he trusted my driving skills which in turn made me feel confident on the road. He was clear when something could use more work, but never micromanaged. Enjoyed working with him!

Fantastic experience: I just finished 10 hours with stop and go with a little previous experience. They really helped me build confidence and I was lucky enough to get Debbie as my instructor for my last 3 drives. I started as a very anxious driver, and she made the experience feel much more casual and knew all of the right things to say to help me know exactly what to do. I had no driving experience before my lessons. Peter was very patient and took the time to explain everything we did, and how it related to being a safe driver. He answered every question I had with understanding and humor. When I made a mistake, he gently explained what I should do to correct it. He has the ability to take each individual lesson and explain how it’s part of the overall skills needed to drive. Fantastic experience: Just completed all my lessons (5x2hrs), and I PASSED. I had no experience at first, was super panicked and anxious. Fantastic experience: Signed my step-son up for the 10 hour course with Stop and Go, his first session was with Kaleb Ivey and because of Kaleb’s personality and ability to help relieve my son’s anxiety behind the wheel he only wanted to work with Kaleb. So my son scheduled his sessions with Kaleb and would tell me how much more confident he is behind the wheel because of Kaleb and now that he passed his test he’s ready. Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience with the team. I took the permit class and passed it on the first try. Then I had 5 driving classes with Angel and Peter. They were really helpful and made me confident behind the wheel. The hours were very convenient and they came to my place to pick me up. Passed the driving test on the first try also! I am very satisfied and definitely recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this company. I have had anxiety about driving my whole adult life. Within 5 lessons I was way more at ease behind the wheel and got my license for the first time. Peter was an incredible instructor. I appreciate him working with me and getting me over my hesitation to drive. If you are an adult that for whatever reason didn't learn to drive when you were younger this is the perfect place to learn.

Fantastic experience: had a ton of anxiety driving but peter made me feel very comfortable and doing classes with stop and go gave me much more confidence driving. was able to get my license and not be nervous every time i got behind the wheel. also peter squeezed me into his schedule and found time slots because i was trying to get my sessions done as soon as possible and was super accommodating. i also did sessions with shawn who helped me immensely and prepared me for what the test was going to be like, making sure i knew what i needed to survive. thank you so much everybody at stop and go!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with the 10 hour silver package at Stop and Go Driving School. I started with one instructor for my first lesson and it wasn’t a good fit for me. I switched to Peter Fell and he was amazing! He instantly apologized for my first session and agreed to give me an extra one. He also moved all my sessions into one week and made me a priority, which was incredibly generous. One day for example I had gotten food poisoning, and he was able to accommodate to my needs. Peter is very patient, funny, and kind. (and he has a twin named Repete) Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was a very nervous driver and started with 0 driving experience. Stop&Go really prepared me for driving on my own and confidently making turns, speeding up, braking, and parking. Debby tested me and she was an absolutely amazing instructor who understands what it’s like to have testing anxiety and calms you down. Along with that she prepares you for the test so you know exactly what you are being tested on. This company is great and I recommend it to anyone learning to drive and trying to get their permit.
