Fantastic experience: My dad was taking a test today. The women instructor (not sure about her name ) was amazing. She was very professional and personable. She went above and beyond and even learned some Russian words (my dad speaks Russian) to make him feel more comfortable. Prior to my dad taking a test, I called the office with a few questions I had, and the girl who answered the phone was extremely helpful and accommodating. This place is amazing, highly recommend! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Just passed my test here with April. Honestly thought I failed just cause I was getting used to the Honda civic and was accelerating pretty aggressively. I was honestly in complete disbelief when April told me I got a 95, and only missed 5 points. She was such an amazing examiner, and super fair. Didn’t get any cheap or petty deductions and she generally did a great job of keeping me relaxed and we had some nice conversations. My sister is working on getting her license as well, and I’ll definitely take her here! ❤️

Fantastic experience: My daughter came in very nervous about this test. Luckily Frankie was there to help her calm down. Thank you so much for all the help and direction. My daughter had tears of joy when she came back in.

Fantastic experience: This was a wonderful place! April was very sweet, even gave me a couple tips as we went. I'm a socially anxious person, so even though I was fairly confident with my driving abilities, I was more nervous about sitting in a car with a stranger haha. But as I said, April was very sweet, and made it a comfortable experience. We even had a nice little conversation about how cool Bees are , which helped me relax and just focus on what I already knew. Thank you all! I will definitely recommend this place to friends & family.

Fantastic experience: Great place to take the test. They taught me how to do the head check, which is very important. This lesson saved my life. Today, my wife had a test. She passed after a second time. she did a lot of practice after receiving comments on head checks. Thanks to the drive right? Abdul

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this driving school to anyone and everyone of my family members and friends. Me and my husband have both gone through them to get our licenses. They are always very professional. and she is super sweet everyone there is amazing

Negative experience: My experience was horrible. My son did drivers ed online. First thing she said to him was his pants would get her car dirty. My son is a mechanic, we works on his stuff. Grease doesn't wash out very well. Second she him he wouldn't pass, because he didn't do 6 hours of driving with an instructor. The has no social skills, none.

Fantastic experience: They had really good customer service and one of the best instructors she was very understanding and made it feel like you were driving with someone you felt comfortable with instead of feeling overly stressed and worried definitely would recommend to anyone.

Negative experience: 0/10. Experience was not pleasant at all. When I entered the car, the woman did not greet me or introduced herself. She asked for the $50 and already had a bad attitude. Interrupted me while I was about to turn into an intersection, asking personal questions about my tattoos and asked if I was a race she suspected I was, when I told her I was not and continued on about it. She also honked at a person who did not turn fast enough for her liking. Everything felt rushed and made me more anxious. Felt as if she saw me as an ATM machine and not an actual person. Personally I do not recommend this place at all. Go through the dmv or global driving school they’re so much better and more professional than this company.

Negative experience: The lady was rude and I wasn’t tested on parallel parking properly and marked me down for it without proper explanation as well as marking me down for a hill park and head checks for which I’m very confident I did right . This isn’t the problem because they do know more than I do but she was rude and spoke with a superior tone and made the experience very upsetting for me. The staff at the desk however was very nice but I will not come back for another test and I regret this negative experience

Fantastic experience: I can't express it enough but I loved it here!!! The people were nice, especially my instructor. If you get April as your instructor, you are in luck! Loved to be here for my test and thank you so much for the awesome people!! Additional message, but I dont really understand the bad reviews here, they're all not true.

Negative experience: Do not take your road test here they fail you just to take your money. Trying to get my daughter her license is becoming a nightmare. She’s going to take her road test with the state and wait. What They charge you just for a road skills test is crazy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve lived abroad most of life and never needed a car, so taking a road test in my 30s hits different. That said, I took my test with Rick today and couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire experience. Obviously, make sure to practice prior, but once you’ve done your due diligence, Drive Right wants you to succeed and will do everything in their power to put you at ease/ treat you with kindness. Thanks again, Rick and team! I’d do it again? :)

Fantastic experience: I had my drive text at this place. Everything went fine it’s been almost two years of experience no accidents I’ve involved in and I wish never involved in any accident. I highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Rick was my driving instructor and he’s very kind and practical. I didn’t pass the first time around and he went over everything i need to improve on very thoroughly. I rescheduled and he gave me another recap of where i failed previously before we drove off and i passed the second time around! So i would definitely recommend them to others looking to get their license. (Remember, signal-mirrors- head checks!!!!) Bonus, they have a super cute puppy in the waiting room. Fantastic experience: Took me 2 attempts to get what I needed and I didn’t have to spend a fortune on private lessons. The instructor was clear and after the 1st test offered great advise and YouTube videos that helped immensely. He was kind and treated me well. I expect all the test takers here will be willing to offer assistance to those that need it.

Fantastic experience: I just did my road test here for the second time last week with Rick and I passed!! First time I failed and I did it with April. After that I practiced and practiced and I finally passed! Rick makes you comfortable and explains what exactly is gonna happen. Also the nice receptionist is fun to talk to as well. And I can’t forget about the dog that they have in the office. The dog is so cute. Thank you Driveright for your services and for helping me get my drivers license. I really appreciate it!!!

Fantastic experience: This is the best, most awesome place, I passed with flying colors first try after being failed from the drivers license division they were rude & made me very nervous the whole time but April, from drive right is the best & really helped me feel less anxious by talking me through everything for the drive, love this place 10/10 would recommend!

Fantastic experience: My experience w/ Drive Right for my road test was pretty fantastic! After a not so pleasant experience testing w/ the Drivers License Division, I went into this feeling very anxious and uncomfortable. Not only were they able to fit me in their schedule with very short notice, but their staff were super helpful, accommodating and that helped put me at ease. I tested with April and it was just a great experience. I appreciated her professionalism and ability to point out all the important things the test requires without being condescending, robotic or cold. I also appreciated that they were reasonably priced, provided the testing vehicle and ability to accommodate for an erratic schedule. The icing on the cake was that they had an adorable little office pup named Franky! 10/10 - Would absolutely recommend these folks for road testing!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic experience. My first attempt, I missed headchecks and was nervous, and even though I didn't pass I was greatly encouraged by everyone I would get it the next time around. And I did! Rick was very kind, almost felt like a friend was my examiner, which was a comforting feeling. Highly reccomend.

Fantastic experience: I went on two drives here with two different driving instructors, and both were nothing but absolutely pleasant to be around. When I didnt pass my first test, April talked me through what I need to improve on in a very helpful way. Their corrections are very specific, and it helped me the second time around. My other instructor, Richard was very kind and helpful as well. Made me feel at ease the whole test, and helped me with parallel parking. Very good experience! Highly recommend! (also they have crystals, art, and dogs to look at while you’re waiting, which is always a plus.)

Fantastic experience: ABSOLUTELY will be recommending all my friends and family to drive right!!! April and Rick are aaaammmazing people!!! Rick was very instructive on what needed to get done all while making it a fun ride! Didn’t even feel like a test at all! Fantastic experience: This was an amazing experience they were so nice and made it really easy for me! I had Rick as my examiner and he was so nice and kept telling me I was doing great! I forgot my permit and they let me wait untill someone could bring it to me and then they let me take it even though it was past my appointment.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend this place to anybody trying to get their driver's license. They are kind and helpful with any questions that you have, and they help make you less stressed for the test. They also give you honest ratings on your test, and tell you how you could do better. Overall, the whole process is smooth and efficient, and they will get you in and out quickly. If you want a great place to get tested, I would 100% recommend Drive Right.

Fantastic experience: I must admit I didn’t pass my first time but April did help explain what I needed to improve on after my drive (head checks are key) and was overall very nice. I went in today and Rick was my instructor- he made sure I felt at ease and comfortable on my drive! He went over what we needed to focus on before my drive and I appreciated his patience!! He and April deserve more credit, they test so many people a day! The one star reviews seem a little harsh- just remember those signals and head checks and it’ll be fine. Fantastic experience: Had a great time at Drive Right with the employees and my instructor Rick. He was very professional, friendly, calmed & great at what he does. The front desk woman was nice and very welcoming. The reason they ask for cash only is that way they don’t want to keep increasing their fees due to credit/debit card processing fees. My appointment was for 1pm but as every appointments places (doctors/hotels/salons) that’s usually the check in time. I waited for 2-4 minutes but then the instructor Rick came out for the test. I feel that it was a very reasonable waiting time. Especially when there’s other people waiting too. The car was clean and very functional to get the test done. I felt safe driving it and very calmed with the instructions I was given by my instructor. I’d highly recommend using Drive Right if you do not want to wait for the DMV. I understand the DMV might be booked a few months out so Drive Right would be a good option.

Negative experience: Terrible! Scam! Don’t test here! We arrived about 5 minutes early for my son’s appointment. There were three other people in line ahead of us and they told us they were “running a little behind.” A few minutes later the older woman tester comes in, chats with the front desk person for 10 minutes, drinks a coffee, and then eventually decides to call someone up to drive. By the time my son got in a car, it was 25 minutes after his scheduled time, making us late for an appointment after the drive that we should have had no difficulty making. The woman tester was extremely rude and critical, which made my son a little bit flustered. He said that she was very abrupt in her instructions and very impatient. She failed him and told him he just needed to head check next time (after paying the fee again, of course). She walked in with my son from the drive and rudely and loudly called me from the waiting room to come back and talk to her, making it extremely obvious that he had failed. A few weeks before this drive, he received a -4 on a practice drive with his previous driving instructor (you can pass with as low as -20), and he received a score of -48 from this woman (30 missed points related to head checks, which he does constantly). She told us we just needed to pay another fee and come back and re-test, but I decided to take him to DMV instead because it was very clear that Drive Right has a profit motive to fail the driver. I got on the DMV website as soon as I got home from the drive and lucked out because someone cancelled for the next morning. So, my son literally went to the DMV less than 24 hours after this test with no practice in between except the drive to the DMV, and passed with a scored of -2. The DMV was on-time, professional, and kind and clear in their instructions and feedback – basically the exact opposite experience we had at Drive Right. And, the cost was only $36, including the license. I would recommend that you read the responses that the owner (who is also the tester) gives to any negative review on this website. The snarky, rude, and unprofessional written responses are exactly like what we experienced with the tester in person. I would recommend the DMV (or really anyone else) a million times over Drive Right. If the DMV is booked out, just check for a couple of days, someone is sure to cancel. I wish that I hadn’t wasted $45 on this company but if I can convince just a few of you to go elsewhere, I’ll feel much better about it. If you have no other choice, at least ask to be tested by Rick (who I don’t know anything about but seems to get better reviews on this website). As a side note, it seems extremely sketchy to me that the company requires all payment in cash to be paid in the car. When I asked about it on the phone, the front desk person said that their credit card reader was broken (but based on online reviews, it sounds like it’s been broken a very long time). I’m not saying that I hope someone from the IRS reads this, but I believe this raises a clear red flag and the company definitely seems questionable in more ways than one.

Fantastic experience: I did my road test here and had Rick as my tester, which he made sure that I wasn't freaking out or getting confused with what to do which helped me a ton with the test, plus they had a dog in the waiting area.

Fantastic experience: I did my driving test here and had an amazing experience. The guy was such a down to earth friendly person. I took my girlfriend here and she too had the same guy and had just as good as an experience as me. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Negative experience: Terrible place. Woman told my son I was not an independent woman for not knowing where the closest atm was to get them their cash. Who does that? Man came in with the worst attitude towards my son trying to take in critical feedback from a failed lesson. This is a learning experience. Such unprofessionalism. They had to apologize for him. This is not a place who love what they do and will not take care of you. Trust me. .

Fantastic experience: My instructor her name was April she was very sweet and kind to me we had a good conversation wasn’t pressured like the dmv felt safe, the secretary is really nice too everyone greets you and treats you with the most respect i highly recommend this place it was a quick 10 minute test got in and got out.

Negative experience: I did my driving test this morning and completely hate the fact that my instructor was so pushy that made me so uncomfortable. Saying things like “go,go” or being impatient it’s not a very good virtue to evaluate a driving test. I felt like they only wanted my money. I was indeed looking on my shoulders before of signing, but for her wasn’t enough. I’m never coming back!

Fantastic experience: I took my road test here and it was hassle free. They had no website but I easily contacted them and made an appointment thru a phone call. They were all accommodating and nice, especially Rick. He was my driving instructor and he was very gentle and encouraging. I was nervous but his calm demeanor was infectious. I also appreciated that he explained what will happen with the road test before we started.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and good driving instructors. I had Rick, who made sure I was doing everything correctly and was just overall great. I went in super nervous but it ended up going really well. I know there are a few negative reviews, however most of these seem to be due to people who didn't have enough experience driving in the first place. As long as you practice, you'll pass. I highly recommend choosing Drive Right, and make sure to know when to head check!

Positive experience: So i took my test yesterday and I passed. I got a 2 which is really good. I had Rick, he was really nice and I didn't feel nervous at all. He told me exactly what we were gonna do before we left too. It was weird though how he switched gears for me and told me when I should stop for my parallel park. Before we even left and were still inside the building, he folded my permit. Which does sound silly but I've kept it perfectly unfolded and unwrinkled for 359 days, then he just folded it. It isn't a big deal but still kinda heartbreaking to me. So happy I passed and can move on from this. Despite the negatives I would still probably recommend this to others.

Negative experience: What a weird place. Doubles as an art studio. The lady testing my new driver didn't explain anything about the test or fill out the form prior to leaving the office. She filled out the form while my new driver was driving, so I am not sure how she could be paying attention to what he was doing. My son said she talked the whole time, how distracting for a new driver, and only took him in the neighborhoods behind the office for the test, no main roads. She failed him for too many missed head checks. It was such an unprofessional and disappointing experience we did not go back. Instead we went to ALLIED DRIVING SCHOOL in Taylorsville and tested with Kevin. He was awesome. Go there instead.

Fantastic experience: Had a great driving test! Rick was a great driving instructor! I failed the first time, but Rick told me exactly what I needed to work on. And throughout both tests he was very informative and helpful. Im glad I did the test through Drive Right because I feel like I actually learned how i can improve as a driver and you can tell the instructors care and they dont treat their students like numbers on a spreadsheet like the DMV does. Highly recommend Drive Right!

Fantastic experience: Both amazing I personally asked for Rick and April was very understanding and let me drive with him the second time around. So I drove with both April the first time ended up not passing went back asking for Rick. April is good too I’m not blaming her for not passing with her like some reviews I’ve seen on here which isn’t fair to her we even talked about this and she said some reviews were even made up because they were upset she didn’t pass them which is terrible to try to destroy someone’s business because you didn’t pass just practice try again and they are very encouraging and will help give u pointers to work on if u didn’t pass so u can pass next time. . April talks a lot which as a new driver I got distracted very easily and it was hard to concentrate for me because of that. She is very nice though and very informative about driving. Her tactic might be really effective with some drivers as she really helps keep your mind off the anticipation and worry of being tested as she’s asking you casual questions they are both great and I love how there is two and they allow you to request for who you want if the other one is not busy and able to which I like. I think they understand every driver is different and having a choice to who tests you helps significantly. Rick has a way of making you feel at ease he is very sweet and helpful he could tell I get anxiety from tests he did his best to keep me at ease and I was able to pass my test this was from a couple years back I wanted to write a review regarding them but just forgot till now. I am sure they are still good and they are always my reference to people in need of the road test.

Fantastic experience: Really nice place and the people are very accommodating, they will give you advices for the test because they really want you to pass. I took my driving exam today and Rick was my instructor. He is such a great person, he was very helpful and made the test stress free. I really had a good experience taking my test here. They also have a dog (more of a little boss), he likes getting lots of love and pets and is soooo cute. Would really recommend Drive Right to my friends and family members. Fantastic experience: So Rick and April (if I remember correctly) are two amazing human beings. I am 27 and have never had my license. I was a nervous wreck. But when I asked April what my test would exhibit, she gave me so many helpful pointers. when I finally got to their office to take my test Rick was super nice, kept positive and kept me distracted enough I was only thinking about driving. not my nerves. I will be sending everyone I know here and I am so grateful it was such a great experience! thank you guys for everything!!!

Fantastic experience: Rick was my observer and he was very nice and eased my nerves! The test is short and manageable, and it was an overall great experience. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a third party test.

Fantastic experience: Came here with my husband to get my road test done. The staff was amazing, the woman at the counter was so kind and was able to get me in last minute. Rick was my tester and he was so friendly and gave awesome immediate feedback/encouragement while driving. I’m usually a nervous driver but he put me at ease! I passed my first try and got my license the same day at the DLD. Who doesn’t love Frankie as well ❤️

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous but they calmed me down before the test and thoroughly explained what was gonna happen during the test. I took my test with Rick and he was very considerate and helpful. He explained the points I missed and what I could do to improve. After my sister's experience at Drive Right, I went straight to them for my test. I'd recommend Drive Right to anyone who has a driving test. They are so friendly and hospitable there.

Fantastic experience: I got Rick as my tester and he was so calm and cooperative, he loves what he does and he gives a calm environment for those who have anxiety and are worried. Definitely recommend, if you simply follow the video they send out to you and make sure to do your head checks you will most likely pass

Fantastic experience: I went the other day with a scheduled appointment and I believe Rick attended me. I passed. He is a very good man with a kind heart, very good guidance and provided me what to watch out for. I have not had the pleasure of taking the test with the lady but I can tell she is also a very good instructor. For those other reviews out there complaining about headchecks: Headchecks break/make your test guys, it is not an "only-here" thing. Took the test at the DMV and they will Fail you for not doing your Headchecks. The instructors in drive right are doing the needful to FOLLOW THE LAW. Same as every new driver should be doing. No excuses. Watch the youtube video Drive Right sends you and you will be fine.

Fantastic experience: I'm 22 and have test anxiety. I put off getting my license for so long because I was scared. I took my first test with April, she judged every little thing I did and would make comments like, "Do you always do that?" And she talked about random stuff to try to distract you. I ended up failing the first driving test because I got so nervous and distracted and honestly her comments made me not believe in my ability to pass the test. I ended up not stopping before turning right on a red light (not blaming her but if she was more supportive it would have helped). She made me feel like a horrible person and a bad driver for making a common driving mistake. I felt so low and anxious to drive that I didn't want to take it again and just wanted to give up on driving. I went to cancel my retake driver's test and Paul answered the phone he was so kind and talked me into taking it again. Paul ended up testing me and he is honestly the kindest person I have met. He cheered me on the whole time and guess what? I passed. I highly recommend drive right but only with Paul/Rick? (the website said Rick but he said his name was Paul). If you get April, reschedule with Paul instead. And to those who are scared to take the test or have failed before, don't give up. You got this!

Negative experience: Apparently it is appropriate for teachers to lean out a window and drop F-bombs to other drivers for being inconvenienced by a stopped vehicle with flashing hazards, even though there is plenty of clearance to go around the stopped vehicle. No matter what the other vehicle was doing, it should have been used as a teaching opportunity for “do’s” or “don’ts” of the road but instead your instructor decided it was appropriate to swear and make a scene. I would never think to enroll my kids here and I feel terrible for the poor student learning from her bad example today.

Fantastic experience: ricky was so nice and didn’t make me nervous at all. he made me feel so confident it was so fast and easy highly recommend coming here. i was scared because of the reviews but it’s obvious it was a personal problem rather then the company itself.

Fantastic experience: SO grateful for these guys!! DMV was booked out, they got my daughter in, were super nice, chill and helpful! They helped her feel at ease since she was nervous to do her drive test-the waiting area had comfy leather sofas and chairs I got to wait on, thank you for having this business:)

Fantastic experience: AMAZING!!!! I passed my test and everyone there was so kind! I failed my test 2 times before this because of all the crazy roundabouts there are where I live, but driving two hours to come here was worth it! It was a nice environment and super comfortable during the test! was a breeze!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Negative experience: This place is HORRIBLE!!!! They are not worth your money. They tested me and the tester grabbed the wheel for no reason and then blamed me which was BS. The tester then started talking to me about personal things which was very unprofessional! When I called to reschedule my test They canceled my test because I complained about what the tester did. This place should be shut down they are the worst!!! Very rude and unprofessional. I will never recommend anyone go here EVER!!! Go to national for your road test they are the best! Or just anywhere but here! I tried talking to the owner to get the problems I had resolved but she never bothered to reach back out to me! If your saying it's been 10 years since I took drivers ed you have the wrong person. What?!?!

Negative experience: The absolute worst driving test out there! I will never recommend anyone going to this school, failed my son after two minutes of driving with no clear instructions. All she said was head check head check head check. Waste of money. Apparently turning your head side so side is not a head check you have to mangle your spine and neck like a contortionist to qualify as the head check. It seemed she prided herself with failing my son after barley with barley any diving time. My son has had his permit for over a year with many compliments on his driving, he has 200+ hours of driving, she stared her clip board down and rarely looked out the windows. His collage level drivers ed teacher said he should already have his license but and took me aside personally to tell me how good he is. Waste of time and money. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!

Fantastic experience: Okay now I will be honest. I looked at all the reviews on Yelp and Google myself. I was indeed worried, but was feeling I needed to give this place a true shot. And I know everyone’s opinions are their own. But listen, this place is amazing!! They are friendly, to the point, and very understanding. I suffer with anxiety and I felt nothing but confidence and comfort being greeted by an awesome gentleman when I went in today to take my driving test and I passed! I was treated with the upmost respect and welcomed as soon as I walked in. If I know anyone who is in need of a driving test or driving education, I will for now on refer them to Drive Right.
