I highly recommend it! I took Otto’s class for about three weeks, attending six sessions, and I was able to pass my road test on the first try! Although I was a bit scared at first, Otto was incredibly motivating and supportive throughout the process. He maintained a calm demeanor, patiently pointed out my mistakes, and explained how to correct them without any frustration or judgment. My entire family also has taken classes here and has become confident, skilled drivers as a result.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this driving school enough! I had built up driving in my head so I went in pretty anxious, but my instructor Jose made sure to make me feel comfortable and confident in my skills from the first lesson. He made sure that the way he was teaching was working for me. Morris was also extremely well organized, sending reminders for my driving lessons and making sure I was well prepared for the exam. I passed the driving exam first try! Would definitely recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I recommend this school. I had driving experience in a different country and just wanted a refresher after not having driven in a few years, as well as pointers about the exam in NYC. I got the 5 hours + exam package, drove with Jose and Otto who are both wonderfully knowledgeable and patient. I took the exam in Red Hook a week after scheduling my first class, which was an incredibly quick turnaround and Morris, the owner, has been communicative throughout the process. The first time I failed due to my own oversight, but I managed to reschedule another exam just 10 days after at Red Hook and passed without losing any points after another pre-exam refresher drive. I recommend this school for experienced drivers who want to get a refresher as well as new drivers, thanks to how kind and patient the instructors were!

My driving lessons were very helpful as a beginner driver. I felt safe to know that the student driving car has an additional brake used by the instructor in case of mistakes. Fantastic experience: Great experience with them. Scheduling was flexible, and communication was always prompt. The instructor was knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable behind the wheel. I did the West location, will be doing the East location next since both have different styles of road and highways. We went over highway merging, lane changes, parallel parking tricks, city driving, and a few tips for handling stop signs and turns. Overall, it helped me feel prepared and confident on the road.

Fantastic experience: I took a bunch of lessons with Confident Driver Driving School and had a great experience. I took lessons with Omari, Otto, and Morris because I wanted to take them at different times throughout the day. Scheduling was easy, there were lots of availabilities, and communication great with all three of them. I learned something new from each of them, and they had the same process so it was consistent no matter who I took lessons with. I was a very nervous driver but they were all calm and patient teachers, and they helped me get better in a short amount of time. I was able to pass my road test and get my license with their help! I definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I engaged “Confidant Driver” at a time in my life when I needed to refresh my driving skills. My instructor/coach was Morris. I was looking for more ”bells and whistles” but instead I found a very experienced teacher who in a non-condescending manner engaged me in the art of driving. He was calm, soft spoken, patient and firm with his instructions. His immediate feedback was not dispensed in a critical or judgmental way. He reinforced his instruction in a gentle manner. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend taking lessons here. Despite having no prior driving experience, I just passed the road test at the Red Hook testing area on my first try. My main instructor was Otto, and he was great, but I also took lessons with Morris and Jose. They are all very professional, scheduling classes online is easy, and they offer two different locations in the city so you can practice on different kinds of roads.

The LES and LWS pickup locations represent well what NYC traffic as well as road test conditions are like. The school recommends the Red Hook road test site in BK, which I found to be good a stress-free and low-traffic site to test at. With flexible online scheduling, this is also a highly convenient choice. I highly recommend the school!

Fantastic experience: I decided to take lessons with confident driving school based on reviews, price, and flexible lesson schedules, and I am happy with the experience. I was a first time driver and but I was able to pass the road test for my first attempt. My instructor, Omari is great ; he gives clear instructions and helped me to find the easiest way for me to parallel park. The lesson right before the road test really helped me a lot. I also want to thank the manager, Morris. He is very responsive and informs everything you need. Their lesson schedule is pretty flexible and you can book class online, which also is a big plus. I would definitely recommend confident driving school if you are looking for a driving school.

Fantastic experience: I took a refresher lesson to boost my confidence for the upcoming drivers' test. Jose was great, really calm, and gave good advice on what to think about for the driver's test. We did a lot of parallel parking, practiced the 3-point turn, etc. They then helped book the driver's test in Red Hook, they took care of everything, and I used Jose's car. We also did some practice driving, parking etc before the test. All in all, it was a very good and professional experience! Can really recommend Confident Driving and instructor Jose!

Highway lessons from Jose are especially good, and Morris is a very responsive manager. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I want to thanks Confident Driving School, specifically to my three instructors Morris, Omari and Jose. All of them were professionally on point, they gave me all the necessary instruction to pass the test, the way on how patient they were with me and listened to all my concerns about my driving skills, I truly felt relaxed having them as my instructors. Fortunately to me, I pass the test on my first attempt. Ps: Take as many class as you can, it is good to be confident but not too overly, and more importantly, do not rush yourself. Side note: I highly recommend anyone to schedule an early appointment, given that time to time, the school can be very packed with students.

Fantastic experience: I just passed my test on my first try this morning with Morris, and it went very smoothly. I couldn’t have hoped for better. Morris will give you all the important tips during the lesson so that you are ready and know what to expect during the test. I only took a 1 hour lesson with him (I already had +10 years driving experience in a foreign country), and I appreciated that he didn’t try to sell me more lessons like other schools did. Very quick turnaround, he offered a test appointment under a week and was able to schedule the lesson right before. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: The CONFIDENT DRIVER school is the best! José is absolutely THE BEST driving instructor! I am an adult long time Manhattanite, who decided to finally get my license. Before finding this school I had worked with other instructors and other driving schools and failed the road test multiple times. José is like a Zen master! He completely lifted my anxiety about driving in general and about taking the test in particular. He taught me all the driving skills that I was missing, always talked me through everything, and was always super supportive. I passed my final test with a perfect score, and my license arrived in the mail last week!

In less than a month, I got my learner permit, pre licensing course, driving lessons, a successful road test, and a shiny driving licence in my pocket! Fantastic experience: I was super nervous, i have not drove for 10 years and has never been on the high way before. After 3 classes, i was very confident in regular way and after 7 hours of highway lessons i can do highway very well. These instructors are the best in the city and they are so patient. I will recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Confident Driving School was fantastic and patient. The instructor listened to all my concerns and allowed me to practice extra in any areas that I felt I needed more practice in. We had great conversations, super easy to talk to, and made me feel very comfortable. Professionalism was also a plus! Very well communicated and on time waiting in front even when I arrived 5 minutes early. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: I passed! I had Jose and Omari as instructors and they were both fantastic. Jose is very thorough in his explanations, and ensures you are consistently paying attention to signs, pedestrians, bikes, etc. and reacting appropriately - which during the road test is crucial. Since Omari took me to my road test, big shoutout to him for making sure I practiced earlier in the day to get any nerves out. He was clean with his instructions, and concise when providing explanations for any pointers he gave me. He truly exudes calmness, and I honestly was blessed to have him there for my test! And finally, Morris is simply wonderful! He helped me schedule everything and even sent me a positive message the day before my test. In fact, all the instructors you work with end up wishing you luck! Truly feels like a big family.

Fantastic experience: The Confident Driver school is the BEST! The entire team was so supportive and kind and they did a great job helping me pass the test. They were particularly helpful to me as an adult learner. I took and failed my driving test 35 years ago and while I "knew" how to drive, I wasn't at all prepared emotionally to take the test. They help me fix some of my bad habits and gave me great advice on how to approach the exam. Omari and Jose were both amazing. I would suggest doing lessons with both of them as the Eastside and Westside locations give you very different experiences for practice. Morris runs an efficient operation--everything was easy-peasy with scheduling, etc. These lessons were worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: As the name suggested, this driving school really helped me become a confident driver. I failed the road test twice with my previous driving school and gradually lost confidence. Then I switched to this school and passed the test at once. My instructor Mr. Omari is encouraging, professional and good at explaining things to me. Every lesson is very enjoyable yet still informative and beneficial. The school manager Morris is also very kind and helpful. Before the test he sent me long, detailed instructions and tips for the road test. They tried their best to help their students pass the test and learn to be a qualified driver. I really recommend this school.

Fantastic experience: I had the refresher lesson with Morris 2 weeks ago. It has been more than 10 years since I drove so I was a bit nervous about the lesson. Morris was calm and relaxed, went over all the rules of getting behind the wheel, slowly eased me into driving inner city to highway. I highly recommend him as an instructor.

The instructors Morris and Omari are great teachers who truly prepare you for the driving test. I was really nervous behind the wheel but they never made me feel bad about that. If you're looking for a place to learn how to drive you have to pick confident driving school.

They were always very clear when correcting my mistakes and helped me constantly improve. I was very timid learning how to drive, but they helped me build up my confidence as a driver.
