Metropolitan Trucking and Technical Institute CDL School

Negative experience: That school is no good, they didn't even give me my certificate. Don't go to that school, because trucking companies will not hire you if they know you went to metropolitan.

Negative experience: Use your credit card!!! Dont pay cash!!!! It's a scam!!!!! Reported to the BBB today. I will be taking legal action and sitting out front in the meantime with a megaphone informing people it's a scam until I recvieve my pretrip certificate paper. Which is perfectly legal. I can't believe I have to go to these lengths. They refuse to give me my pretrip certificate that I need to get employed. I would wait 2 hours for 10 mins in a truck with minimal instruction. I signed up for a 15 day program. I was there 2 months! They said it was on how fast I learned. Making me sound stupid. I ended up going to *SUNSTATE CDL*(whch was worth the drive) for my other 2 tests and completed it in 10 days!!! Not 2 months!!!! Proving it was the school and not me. I did have to travel and pay hotel and take more time off work(which I will be asking for compensation for during trial). it was worth not sitting in metro for a whole year. Metro refused to give me my money back. I got lucky and used my credit card and disputed it and got my money back. I need my pre trip certificate to work. And can only get it from metro since I did it there. They could easily do the right thing and give me the paper but they won't. I would take this review down if they just give me my paper

Negative experience: So many reasons I would tell you to stay away from this school. No communication & knowbody training you except for the 20 minutes after waiting for hours. Nobody really tries to help you. They really do not care if you pass your CDL or not. You will need to pay again if you fail the first 2 test. After that you have to donate time at the school for 80 hours before you can start the training all over. They do not care if you pass or not. They were not mean spirited they just do not care if you pass! You could spend a year 2 years there chasing your license? They will just say it depends on you & how hard you try. They do not try to help at all. Not mad at the people there just trying to warn you. There are other schools that you spend a little more money but you get 1 on 1 training. You can have your license in a month or 2. Do not waste your money or time on this school. You will regret it!!!

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS JUST THE MONEY I came to this school in 2019 and picked to take my cdl A in manual transmission long story short I practiced all my skills test in Manual and came the day of the road test they didn’t have a Manual truck and THEY said it did not matter I could do it in automatic which is not what I signed up for and I have proof on paper but I did it anyways now 5 years later the law changed which is not my fault and they should honor that I paid already nope they basically are telling me it’s not the schools problem that I have to re take the whole license which I have no problem doing that but they should be able to work something out with the pay but nope I have to pay all over again they are scammers just read All the bad reviews and I went there for my cdl b as well and took that in manual and that’s also on file

Negative experience: This school is a scam and shouldn't be allowed in the USA. How come a school is in the USA yet there no English speaking instructors. All of them no english. They only help Spanish speakers or one Haitian instructors helps Haitians. If you speak English they will ignore you. More like pay more money and you will pass. Come from Cuba in two weeks , you will pass. No restrooms, no parking , rude cuban mafia. Ripping innocents workers money. Dont go there save your energy and time....worst school ever! I definitely report it to Internal bureau to investigate..
