Negative experience: I came here a few weeks ago to take my driving test and my instructor was Thomas. From the first interaction he was rude, did not bother to introduce himself at all. My family who coached me told me to inspect the outside of the car before getting in and he snapped back "You don't need to do that, it gets done 6 times a day". We proceeded into the car where I did not want to start the car until my mirrors and seat were fixed, but Thomas told me to start the car. I tried saying " I want to make sure everything is safe first" but he immediately cut me off mid-sentence and repeated "start the car" very loud. I asked "are you serious?" wondering if this was a trick question because I was told to not start the car and he repeated again but louder to start the car. So I did and we continued with the test. I was backing out of the parking spot in a relatively busy parking lot and I was going slow because I was set off by his behavior and nervous, Thomas proceeded to put his hands on the wheel and start turning it for me. We were in a parking spot, in no way was I putting either of us in danger. He proceeded to tell me to put the car back into drive when I did not want to because I didn't think I had enough space to clear the car next to me, but I did anyways in fear of losing points of my test. I did not clear it as expected, Thomas said "not good, not good". We continued with the test and he proceeded to put his hands on the wheel again when pulling back into the parking spot. In no way was this behavior nessesary or professional, his sly "not good" comment was discouraging and rude. It baffles me that he thought that was appropriate especially when I was taking my time, not putting us in danger. My experience with Micheal at the golden location was completely different and positive. He was kind and even tried to make jokes to calm me down during the test. I told him about Thomas's behavior and he told me that he was the head tester and "doesn't let things slide". Either way he should not be allowed to get away with this behavior and I hope he is reported.

Fantastic experience: Very Professional and pleasant.

Negative experience: Awfully rude instructor, interfered heavily with my test due to the instructor's patronizing and otherwise smarmy behavior, it got to a point where I wanted to get out of the car mid test and head home. Asking any questions during the test was met with a snarky response, his comments were incredibly distracting in which I missed a turn, the comments of which seemed like he was trying to put me under pressure or instigate an argument. Not very pleased with the fact that I had wasted 100 dollars just to be treated like a nuisance from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: No wait time for a walk in driving test and it was thorough and the driver teacher was great! The lady at the front was great also very helpful.

Fantastic experience: The staff, mainly my testing expert, I believe he said his name was Thomas. His customer service skills are second to none! Honest and unfiltered buy him and his staff actually give af$#@!!!! Thanks to things and the rest of their staff. Oh, also the receptionist at the Golden site went above and beyond the call of duty in order to help me get my miracle! Lol... Thanks again!!!

Fantastic experience: I have just moved to Denver from abroad, I have 30 years experience driving licenses from my origin country, and I had to take local driving test in order to get my local colorado driving license. I had my test driving today with "LearnToDriveColorado" center at Lakewood. (with Mr. Thomas), I would like highly recomended on this Center, they were very informative and helful, helped me with the registration process and explain the process very well, it was such helpful specially for me as a forigner to the local process. They booked the test driving apponitment so smothly, The driving test itsef also was very plesent and, Mr. Thomas was very kind, much respecful and explain vlearly the test process, he was very clear with the driving instructions during the test itself. it was much appriciate, speacily when english is not my native languish. also at the end of the test Mr Thomas share knowledge and more important information with me to drive more safely in Colorado. Much appriciate that and highly recomendad on this place.

I did get mark down for being heavy footed (5 miles above) and not checking the rear view mirror AFTER changing lanes. I’ve never done that but tonight I tried it and I regret to inform you that I will continue to not check with wreck less abandon as an act of civil disobedience

I can’t remember the man’s name who did the test with me but he was actually more informative than the DMV! Negative experience: I had two completely different experiences in this place. Last Tuesday I tried to take the driving test and it was a really bad experience. The driving instructor/examiner was very rude from start to finish. I couldn't take the test in my car that day because a brake light was supposedly out. When the instructor checked the lights on my car, he said that one of my brake lights was broken. He said in a very rude way something like "your brake lights are broken, you can't take the test" and walked away. But the lights were fine, I had tested them before I went for the test. I tried to say that I had tested all the lights and maybe we could check it again, but I couldn't even finish the sentence as he just walked away and intimidatingly said "your brake light is broken, fix it". I then went to the office and rescheduled the test, hoping another instructor would take it. When I saw the confirmation e-mail that it was a different person, I was less worried. If I took the exam that day, I felt like I wouldn't pass because of how he had treated me from the beginning. I went on Friday (I had checked the lights again beforehand) and everything was as expected, with a different person who acted professionally. I took the exam, the examiner pointed out where I was wrong, counted the points and so I passed. I had a really bad experience the first time. I wonder why the community driving school has such a person in their ranks. From the other google comments it appears that this type of experience happens occasionally.

Negative experience: WISH I CAN GIVE NEGATIVE ZERO to this place. I enrolled to this place and i PAID A LOT OF MONEY like more than $500 to refresh my driving skills so just i can follow the RULES and REGULATION in the US. Technically the Driving Instructors last year were SUPER NICE and FRIENDLY. This year they have this Young Men and this Young Guy who is in his like maybe 30ish was my DRIVER LICENSE INSTRUCTOR and FAILED ME and he said i made 3 MISTAKES. However me being NOSY i listen to some of the young girls doing their test this guy PASS these young girls even if they MADE LOTS OF MISTAKES. Personally that guy with short curly hair SPEAKS TOO FAST and I CANT UNDERSTAND HIS INSTRUCTIONS. NOT A FRIENDLY ONE. From the very beginning i felt like he was NOT COMFORTABLE with me becoz of my gender. I only enrolled last year becoz my husband who has DEMENTIA and PARKINSONS disease has been getting WORSE and always getting out from our apartment and ended up missing so i need to drive just to search for him even in the middle of the snow late at night. But i cant drive coz i dont have a license. So then even if it was EXPENSIVE i did enrolled and paid full. I didnt do my LICENSE TEST last year coz my HUSBAND DIED even if my instructor told me last year to take it coz i am fine on driving. I felt bad coz that guy who did my test was not friendly. He got out of my car right away and said, Unfortunately u failed. U can enroll again and take the test. Do u have any idea that the money i used to pay was HARD EARNED money. I have a car but up until now im DOING and BOOK UBER coz i RESPECT the US RULES and the so called " STANDARDS". I am a VERY LAW ABIDING CITIZEN. I may not PASS the STANDARDS of drivinf. but i know how to RESPECT and FOLLOW THE LAW. I will not WASTE my MONEY if i am not SERIOUS and SINCERE to what i want. I enrolled and juggle my time even if my HUSBAND was dying. I am just sooooo DISAPPOINTED. If u wanted to get in touch and hear my side check ur system. Last name is Macan. GOD BLESS

Negative experience: I would NEVER recommend this place! My young daughter had 2 knifes pulled out on her while driving (the instructor was joking about cutting up a deer if she hit one while driving a dark road in Morrison), lots of personal calls made by instructors while she was driving and playing games on their phone. So unprofessional my daughter hated every moment of it.

Negative experience: Before I scheduled an appointment here I read through the reviews thinking I would have a great experience, unfortunately that was not the case I paid $100 for the company vehicle driving test just for me to fail under pressure and embarrassment. I have anxiety and as nervous as I already was Thomas did not make it better..pulling out of the center I was patiently waiting for traffic to go by and it took a few minutes as I was more being safe than sorry then Thomas made the remark “well you have to make an attempt at some point” in a very much attitude tone I instantly became uncomfortable I folded under presser and made a traffic violation (as a first time driver I didn’t understand the turning lane or when I could enter it to turn left) he told me I couldn’t ask questions so unknowingly I went for it ..he seemed such in a hurry mind you my test was at 4:30 and they closed at 5. For $100 I wish i could’ve been treated differently with patience and kindness like the comments are saying rather than being in a hurry and being inconsiderate of how the driver feels. I will not be coming back to retake my test.

Negative experience: Do not go to this location I truly believe that they are trying to scam people out of that $80 and just trying to tell you that your speedometer is off or something like I truly think that they should just leave this to the DMV instead of people that have their own personal companies that can benefit a personal game from somebody not passing over something that is inaccurate. I definitely will not be doing my drivers test there tomorrow I will be taking my business somewhere.

Officially Rescind your drivers license at the DMV and purchase your car with raw gold or silver (as paying with cash or credit re-activates the commercial contract with the state agency). Become free. This is a free country for private citizens to live un-harassed and without fear of coercion to comply with commercial standards. Research more

Negative experience: On 06-10-2024, I was informed by the DMV I was required to take a driving test to obtain a driver's license. Currently all driving test are taken through a third party, it just so happened "Community Driving school" (third-party), was right next door to Golden, Co. DMV office, great! I scheduled an appointment. While waiting in a small lobby, this Biker walked in. He looked like a "Hell's Angel" very intimdating! Vest, chains, patches, jeans, motorcycle boots, biker beard, knives, ball cap, and dark glasses. It turned out he was an instructor! Everyone else was wearing distinctive Red Polo shirts. This guy looked mean. Another person was with him (student), his body language showed intimidation and nervousness. The Biker was his instructor! I couldn't believe it. Oh, that's his Harley-Davidson parked right in front of the business. All I could think of is "I hope he's not going to be my instructor". He sat at the computer terminal and began entering data. The whole time he was cursing under his breath but I could clearly hear him. I didn't know what he was mad about but boy was he mad. I was already nervous and intimidated by what he was wearing but his demeanor just compounded the anxiety I was feeling. I've watched the History Channel about motorcycle gangs and what they are capable of doing to people, murder, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and illegal gun selling. I was thinking "I hope I don't get this guy, he'll fail me for sure". We'll, he was my instructor. He never introduced himself, just commanding orders, like "I'm in charge and respect my authority". We get started and right away through the first intersection with the flow of traffic, 45 in a 35mph. He practically jumped out of his seat to observe the speedometer, I slowed down but noted his reaction. We drove through the neighborhood focusing on 25 mph speed limit areas. No conversation, just turn right, turn left etc. After concluding the test, he told me I failed, 45 mph in a 35 mph zone (flagrant) So just as I had imagined, was now my reality. I was so nervous. I rescheduled and tested at the Wadsworth office. This time I was ready. Again, "Community Driving school" and guess where? Right next to the DMV. Everyone was dressed appropriately so that was a good sign. I met the second instructor before. He was rude but I think he thought I would be upset for having to re-test but I wasn't, it's just part of the new process for me. The first thing he said to me was "You have a problem?" One of those provoking questions stated in a soft tone, sounds inquisitive but in a harsh tone, super aggressive. I said no, I guess that was his way of creating an environment of authority. We drove around with all the same tricks, shuffle your hands while steering (control), instead of letting the wheel slide through your fingers. 25 mph, even one 15 mph area, complete stops, look left, look right and left again. Anyway he had no choice but to pass me, while maintaining a unprofessional demeanor. "Community Driving Schools", they don't have to be professional because you need them, they don't need you. As a consumer, "Community Driving schools" you get a failing score. M.Lemmons

Positive experience: The lady(w brown hair) at the lakewood Office was extremely rude to a Hispanic couple just because they spoke Spanish. Her words " YOU HAVE TO SPEAK ENGLISH FOR THE TEST OR ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!" They had everything they needed and even pre-paid, which she refused to believe. Preceeded to call other offices to confirm because she didn't believe that they actually paid. I just felt horrible for them, it was embarrassing Testing instructor was nice and was understanding when I told him she has horrible anxiety. He was really sweet. Golden office- so very helpful and nice. The nice lady plan our appointment and helped us with everything.

Fantastic experience: I bought the 6 hour adult driving package. Eduardo was amazing at getting me scheduled as soon as possible even though the schedule is packed. I had Dee, Bradley, and Merri Ann as my instructors, and Michael as my tester. Had the best time learning how to drive, and even the test as well, while having great conversations and saw the beautiful mountains along the way! A big thank you to everyone!

Negative experience: I took my drive test here when I was here and had no complaint at all, it was great. Today was my boyfriend's big day to get his test (which he desperately needs for a new big job opportunity) and Michael went to give him his test but when they arrived to my car Michael asked him to roll down the windows but he my boyfriend informed him that my driver side window does not work. He instantly disqualified my car for this even without it being listed anywhere on the website. The receptionist was very nice and refunded us, but when we told her what happened, even she was baffled and apologized saying she hasn't even heard of this either. On top of this when we first even walked up to the building he was sitting outside looking miserable. He truly just gave off the impression that he didn't want to be there. I'm sorry if he was having a bad day, but that doesn't justify him disqualifying my car for a drive test (especially since the rule wasn't even listed on the website) all because he was upset.
