The Safeway Driving School, located in Lehighton, is your ideal partner on the journey to becoming a confident and responsible driver. With nearly 40 years of public education experience, our goal is to provide each student with personalized, low-stress instruction, integrating driving practices that prepare them for various situations on the road.

Our school is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and offers a comprehensive program that includes 6 hours of practical instruction and 30 hours of theory, along with flexible scheduling and the option to pick up and drop off students at home, work, or school. Furthermore, upon completion of the course, students may qualify for discounts on their auto insurance.

The lessons cover everything from controlling one’s emotions while driving to handling adverse weather conditions, navigating city traffic and highways, and the importance of defensive driving to anticipate and react appropriately to other drivers’ actions. The school focuses on preparing students not just to pass the driving test but to be competent and safe drivers for life.

Fantastic experience: Could not be more pleased after choosing Safeway to provide lessons to my daughter. Gave her the knowledge and confidence she needed to earn her license. Excellent communication when scheduling and feedback provided on improvement opportunities during the lessons.

Negative experience: 4th time calling Safeway driving school and today the story was they are booked til sept but refuse to give me an appointment time in sept oct nov anytime between now and March... bc they have to leave spots for lehighton and palmerton... kinda beyond my comprehension .... bc they are a small company and can’t handle out of their contract? It’s a shame. Their loss ... and I will share my awful experience on every media based platform ... I support small local businesses but what do you do when you are being discriminated against? Yet their website says they service pleasant valley? They lie! They are a joke! Insurance companies and the better business bureau should know this.

Fantastic experience: Trevon had good Experience it seems, Driving since he was 16 & now 19!!! Doing Good!!! Only trouble is he dont like to drive out of town lol My other son Dylan will be doing this course next January 2020!!! Cant Wait!!!
