Welcome to Back To Basics Driving School, the ideal driving school for teenage and adult drivers in Gaston. We specialize in providing comprehensive driving education and practice for those seeking to obtain their driver's license, whether you are just starting your driving journey or looking for some extra practice before taking the road test.

Our services include a Driver's Education Course for teens, which is mandatory for those under 17 years of age. This course requires 14 hours of instruction to be eligible for the South Carolina DMV road test. We also offer Behind the Wheel Training for adults over 17 who have held their beginner’s permit for at least 30 days, allowing them to go straight to the road test. If you only need to prepare for the Road Test, we have a specific service just for that.

Led by David and Whitney Pitts, a team deeply committed to family and community service, our instructors possess extensive knowledge and experience in traffic safety. David is a law enforcement officer with over a decade of experience in the sheriff's department, while Whitney is a nurse dedicated to incorporating compassion and well-being into every lesson.
