BIR Performance Driving School: Reviews

Fantastic experience: No place like it in the world !
Negative experience: The instructor was of poor quality and focused primarily on the driving session rather than teaching overall skills. There was little interest shown in the attendees who came to learn, especially those who were only there for one session. This became particularly evident when a crash interrupted the session, and there was no opportunity for the drivers who hadn’t completed it to reset and continue.
Fantastic experience: Have Fun!
Fantastic experience: Been here the past 6 years, whole weekend full of fun. Powercruise is the best event by far. Alot of exotic and unique cars to check out!
Positive experience: The track at BIR is the same as it has been and it is a good track, but a lot of the magic of the performance driving school has gone away with a loss of Gary Curtis there. The new guy has done some things as far as track improvements that have gone a long ways and I appreciate that, But the driving instruction has dropped off hugely and they do not have enough driving instructors for the people participating in the school. The price has also gone up $75 per session to to $415 for the track day since last year which is really all it is because there is very little instruction available due to the limited number of instructors. Also, most of the instructors are out of there by 2:30 PM or so anyway so you're basically just driving with the flag people by yourself on the track which to me does not seem much like a driving school at all.
