Green Light Driving Academy is proud to service Charles County and the surrounding areas. We offer in-person drivers education in a professional and educational setting. Our goal is to prepare safe, aware, and responsible drivers. We are proudly educator, veteran, minority, and woman owned and operated.

We are extremely passionate about putting safe drivers on the road. Our instructors are extremely patient and our classes are engaging in an effort to help students retain the information presented.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had an outstanding experience with this driving class! From start to finish, the instructors were patient, knowledgeable, and truly invested in her success. She completed all of her required class hours, felt fully prepared, and passed her driving test on the very first try! One thing that really impressed me was how confidently she handled her backup/parking skills. The instructor made sure she understood every step, and it showed — she performed her backup parking flawlessly during her test. I’m extremely proud of her and so grateful for the high-quality teaching she received. If you're looking for a driving school that truly prepares your teen, this is definitely the one. Negative experience: I am very disappointed with my experience at this driving school. I requested a refund after deciding not to continue with their services, but the process was extremely slow and frustrating. It took weeks of repeated calls and emails before I finally received any response regarding my refund. To make matters worse, I only received $110 back out of the $212 I originally paid, with no clear explanation for why such a large portion was withheld. The lack of transparency and poor communication made the whole situation even more stressful. I would not recommend this school to anyone looking for reliable customer service or fair business practices.

I am sorry hear that you are disappointed with you experience, however, some of the things stated are inaccurate.

In your email on October 9, you stated you could not continue due to scheduling conflicts on your end. I replied on October 17 acknowledging the withdrawal. On November 2, you followed up at which time I told you I would look into it because it was processed on 10/31–but we’ve experienced a few issues with refunds processing. It was immediately resolved. We also don’t have any missed calls or voicemails matching the number on file.

Per our refund policy, you were owed a prorated refund and that is what was issued—you attended class for 4 days. If you had questions or needed a breakdown of why the refund is what it is, I would have happily explained in the email you sent saying “I only received $110”

The refund policy breaks down the 60/40 split that we currently use to separate the portion that covers classroom versus behind the wheel. The refund policy spells out what that breaks down to on an hourly basis. We took that hourly cost multiplied it by 12 hours because four days of class is 12 hours and that is where the refund amount came from.

While a better option would’ve been rescheduling for a different class session, I understand that sometimes we also don’t know when that will be. All the best on your journey.

Fantastic experience: Ms. April is a truly gifted teacher that helps students with all learning styles effectively learn the driving course material in a fun and engaging way. My daughter truly enjoyed going to Green Light Driving Academy and really learned a lot about being a safe and educated driver.

Fantastic experience: The classroom instruction was right to the point with no sugar coating the importance of learning the driving skills. The on the road driving instruction was just the same and the constructive criticism was very welcoming and much appreciated. Our twins passed the knowledge test and the Driving test the very first time they tried for their Provisional license. Thank you for the great coaching Mrs. Angie.
