Boston CDL Driving School: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Recently, I completed my Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training at [BOSTON CDL SCHOOL], and I am thoroughly satisfied with the experience. The instructor demonstrated exceptional knowledge, patience, and a genuine commitment to assisting every student in achieving success. He dedicated ample time to providing comprehensive explanations of various aspects of driving, including pre-trip inspections, shifting techniques, backing maneuvers, and on-road driving. I extend my sincere gratitude to the school staff and my instructor, Blaise Sullivan, for their invaluable contributions to my training.
Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say that Boston CDL school is amazing! My instructor Blaze taught me from start to finish. He was firm but patient and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He let students continue to practice when our 4 week session was over and there for us at every step of the way. I thought at first that I wasn’t going to be able to retain all of the information that we had went over in 4 weeks. Blaze ensured me that I was going to be able to get it and I did. I pass my test. I really appreciate all the support that Boston CDL school provided for me throughout the process of me obtaining my CDL passenger endorsement. Thank you Blaze for all your support.Boston CDL program was a great experience for me. You only get out of something what you put in to it. Thanks again to the staff of Boston CDL. Great Job!!!! Best Daniel Ross
Negative experience: I enrolled in this CDL school in September 2024 expecting a reliable, full-service training program, and my experience has been nothing short of a disaster. I strongly advise prospective students to look elsewhere. The core issues revolve around scheduling, program delivery, equipment failure, and a complete lack of accountability regarding my money. Severe Service and Communication Failures 1. Driving Test Never Scheduled: I was promised my official driving test would be scheduled beginning in February, and it has never happened. This delay forced me to enroll in a different school just to move forward with my career goals. 2. Refund Withheld: Due to the perpetual delays, I requested a full refund several months ago, and the school has failed to process it. My money is currently being held with no explanation or resolution. 3. Staff Unavailability: On multiple occasions when I tried to visit the office in person to resolve these issues, the office was unmanned and there was no one available to speak with. Substandard Training Program 1. Broken Equipment: A major component of my training was supposed to be hands-on practice, but the bus designated for training was consistently broken or out of service during the periods I was available to train. This severely hindered my ability to practice and prepare for the CDL test. 2. Missing Paid Classes: I specifically paid for night classes as part of my tuition, but these were never offered or provided. 3. Incomplete Instruction: Even the daytime class schedules were unreliable. We never had full classes, suggesting a major lack of organization and commitment to delivering the promised curriculum. Overall, I paid for a service that was not delivered, was given unreliable information, and now the school is refusing to return my money. This school fails to provide basic instruction, maintain necessary equipment, or offer professional customer service. Save your time and money and choose a different CDL program
We sincerely apologize for the experience you had. After reviewing this case, we confirmed it occurred under the school’s previous management. Since then, Boston CDL has come under new leadership focused on improving communication, scheduling, and student support.
We also attempted to reach you at the phone number we had on file to process your refund but were unsuccessful. Our new management would be happy to resolve this matter. Please contact our President directly at [email protected] so we can assist you right away.
We truly appreciate your patience and hope we can make things right for you.
Negative experience: Not organized, i came here and nobody knew each other
Dear Luis, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Organization and clear communication are very important to us, and we take your comment seriously. We’re actively improving our orientation and onboarding process so every student feels supported and connected from day one. If you’d like to share more details, please contact our office directly @ [email protected], and please share the details of what happened, day and time, if possible — your input helps us do better.
Negative experience: This place is extremely shady, DO NOT ATTEND. There's always a wait for classes and their website always says "We're not accepting students at this time". I passed my CLP exam in January this year to become a class B bus driver, and I wanted to attend school to get my CDL, so I gave this place a call. They told me to text some random number with my name, email and a picture of my driver's license, and that classes start second week of January at 5 pm. Second week of January at 5 pm arrives, I arrive on time, to.... Nothing. The entire place was dead except for some random guy in the yard who spoke 0 English and I had to take to him through Google translate. He went to get someone from the back, I asked him about the classes, he then gave me ANOTHER number, I called it, no response, I left a voicemail, and to this day I still have yet to hear back from that number. I called the number listed on the website AGAIN, NOW they say "second week of February". I got fed up with dealing with these people and I eventually did some research. Even though I have a "K - Intrastate Restriction" because I am not 22 yet, I can still train to get my bus CDL out of state. Instead, I went to Driving Academy in Linden, NJ to get my bus CDL. I passed a few days ago. Go there instead, they're cheaper (courses are 4k there as opposed to 6k at this dump), more efficient, and you actually know they exist, and they also have a 3rd party testing site where you can take the entire CDL road test with them instead of having to deal with the RMV. If you're becoming a truck driver, go to NETTTS in Haverhill, MA. Don't give these shady criminals any time or money. Go to Driving Academy in Linden, NJ instead to become a bus driver.

Negative experience: My husband went to this school and it’s complete BullS@. Throughout the classes they were practicing on One bus to prepare for the Test & they decided to inconsiderably sell the bus without informing the students prior to doing so. So unprofessional & super unorganized. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY & TIME !!! DONT GO THERE . Trust me !!!! But Mike is a awesome teacher . It’s just the administrative part of the school, complete bogus
Dear Alana,
We’re very sorry to hear about your husband’s experience and we understand the frustration. Selling a vehicle without clear communication to students is not the standard we hold ourselves to, and we are working to make sure situations like this don’t happen.
We do appreciate your kind words about Mike — our instructors care deeply about student success, and it means a lot to see that recognized.

Fantastic experience: Hello, can I get a class in Spanish?
Hello Daniel,
Thanks for your kind review. yes, you can get an instructor that speaks Spanish and will teach the content of the course in your language. However, please keep in mind that the exams will all be in English, and English is mandatory for anyone seeking a CDL class B license.
Fantastic experience: Thank you to the DPV Transportation for giving me the opportunity to take the CDL training class. It was an amazing experience! Good luck for the future.
We are glad you choose us to start your CDL Training!
Fantastic experience: This class was amazing. It’s a very fast pace class for people who really want the CDL. The instructor was a great guy and he explained everything that would be required to pass. With diligence, commitment, and attention to detail, anyone can pass. I would recommend this class to anyone on the CDL path. Lewis
