Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this place. I emailed a ton of drivers ed places when I was looking for one for my son. He needed an in person class due to his autism, but I also wanted to see if anyone would have discounts or allow payments to be paid due to being a single parent to 4 special needs kiddos. She gave us a small discount and allowed payments. On top of that, I asked if my son's waiver or wrap therapist could join him to make sure he understood everything and to help ease his anxiety. She didn't even hesitate. Halfway through the class, the owner sent me an email with an update on how he was doing and informed me that he was close to not passing due to his last test. I asked if I could come in on Friday and read the test to him since his therapist wasn't able to come that day and he had a lot of accommodations at school for tests and things, and she said it was totally fine. I knew it was mainly the fact he couldn't read it and comprehend it all, it was just too much. Today we took that test and he passed the class and got a 99% on the test I read to him. He missed ONE question. There aren't a ton of places that will work with you when your child has a disability and I am BEYOND thankful for for this place. The owner, Amy, has made this whole experience great and ease both my son's and my anxiety. I will absolutely send my other kids, that will be able to drive, back here for her class/online class.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but great things to say about this agency. My son already had his permit but I wanted him to receive more instruction behind the wheel. The owner was responsive, helpful, and very accommodating to our need for a quick turnaround. Within 30 days of contacting her, my son completed his 6 drives and passed his driving test. All of the driving instructors were amazing although Brandy was his favorite. I'm thankful for all of the help!! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: As of the time of writing this review- I have my 6th and final drive tomorrow at 9am. In my opinion, the majority of these reviews don't really accurately reflect Fishers Road Star Driving School so I thought I would add in my own input- as a student too! Most of the bad reviews stem from the lack of spots open. This is because you have to be on the website on the 1st of the month at noon for the spots to drop. In my case, I signed up for my drives on January 1st with no issue. All of the driving places in Fishers are backed up, so it isn’t out of the ordinary for this place to be in the same position. Sure- it’s a little inconvenient to have to rush to sign up when they drop. Though, every other driving school is having the same issue of not having much availability. It doesn’t make them any less of a good business because Fishers is a booming place with many teens learning how to drive. With that out of the way, I’ve completed 5 drives so far. 4 of them were with Gary Snyder and 1 was with Steve Moore. My last drive is tomorrow with Gary. Gary is awesome!!! I have really bad anxiety- I couldn’t stop shaking in the parking lot with my mom prior to the first drive. I felt nauseous, even. Though, Gary is such a laidback and welcoming guy that my anxiety (mostly) dissipated before we even got into the car together. I’m so glad I’ve done most of my drives with him- and I have nothing but good things to say about him. Every drive feels pretty chill with him. Heck, he even turns on the radio- which helps me, I don’t like when it’s dead silent. He’s a super sweet guy and I’ve had such a good experience with him as an instructor. He’s definitely one of the reasons I feel more confident on the road now. I 100% recommend trying to sign up with him if you can. Gary- if you’re reading this, I’m sorry I was always super quiet. I’ve never been very talkative but I really did enjoy listening to your road trivia- like Carmel having 158 roundabouts (1st one being built in 1997 iirc). I’m really bad at being social, my friends can attest to that. Also, I hope you got your email problem fixed and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to help you with that, lmao. Steve is pretty cool too, just not my type of teacher (which is perfectly fine). Another review described him as violent- I didn’t get that impression of him. I would describe him as a very straightforward, blunt, cut and dry instructor. He’s the complete opposite of Gary, but still gave me helpful tips and critiques on how to be a better driver (I appreciate that!!). If you’re doing something wrong- he’ll tell you straight up and tell you to improve on it. While I did walk away feeling like a bad driver (which is more me than him- I’m not the best with handling constructive criticism), I do think having that one drive with him did help me improve as a driver. Again- different teaching styles for different people. Thanks Road Star!! My driving test is scheduled for March 15th, and I’m really hoping I will pass.

Negative experience: They tell you to check daily all day if a drive will magically pop up… how about have enough employees for the students to be able to do their drives?? They’re rude, not kind nor explanatory with any of the information taught but probably just to the brown kids because I see huge smiles on their faces when they deal with the others

Please contact us [email protected] so we can help with this "situation." I only see one student with your email address on file and her drives will be completed this month because her father reached out. I'm more than happy to help if I know what the situation is

Fantastic experience: This driving school is great! As long as you communicate to them what your needs are, they will work with you. I definitely recommend talking to Amy and also getting drives scheduled with Gary. Gary has been great with me and my high anxiety. Very kind, too!
