A-1 Driving School

Positive experience: I’ve noticed that their call time is very slim. 10:30 to 2 is only a 2 and a half hour window. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them to enroll since their last semester. We’ve been playing phone tag with each other, and granted that’s partially my fault. But if yall were open for more than 2 and a half hours it would probably allow for more people to enroll and get their licenses.

Negative experience: My daughter and I called numerous times over the months, to inquire about driving classes. They never answer their phone, or return phone calls.

Negative experience: This place is unprofessional as they come. They teach, with no exaggeration, what they feel is "reasonable". Not the actual laws. If you show them facts such as, the law says this, they simply say "yeah but thats not reasonable". This is who we are allowing to teach young people to drive?

Negative experience: Over the past two months, I've left two voice messages and filled out an online form - and still no response - which makes me question the five-star ratings.

Fantastic experience: Jim is phenomenal!!! He trained my daughter after she received her permit and he was willing to meet us in Sedona and Cottonwood as needed. He has a car with the passenger brake which is perfect for brand new drivers. I am so glad we decided to work with Jim. He even gave her the driving exam himself once her 10 hours were complete. She was able to grab her license from the DMV right after. Highly recommend if you have a new driver!
