Reeder Transportation Training

Negative experience: I went to this school for my license and it was a pain. First off, I had the same driving instructor 3 out of the 4 sessions I had, which doesn't sound bad until you know why it was a pain. He would CONSTANTLY make jokes about how women can't drive and he noticeably acted differently towards the boys i would drive with vs. me. He would yell at the boys if they made mistakes, often raising his voice, one time even reaching across a boy to smack the window while telling him to check his blind spot. But if I made a mistake he would say something like "I bet you drive with your mom a lot", implying that women are bad drivers and I learned from one. He was very short tempered and was constantly upset about something. He even went off route and made me drive to his house so he could pick up his pool cues, which has to be against some rule. My mom and I personally complained to the driving school about him and they still assigned me to drive with him. On top of that, the owners were very impatient and frankly kind of rude to me. The only reason why I have any stars at all is because it was fast, and affordable. Otherwise, I would look into a different school if I were you.

Fantastic experience: We had such a fantastic experience with Michael as my homeschooled son’s driver’s ed teacher at the Marion, IL location! From day one, Michael was incredibly patient, encouraging, and easy to work with. He has a great sense of humor, which helped ease any nervousness, and made each lesson enjoyable and engaging. My son consistently commented on how clearly Michael explained things and how much he learned from him. His calm, friendly teaching style really made a difference—Michael turned what could have been a stressful process into something my son looked forward to. I truly can’t recommend Michael enough to anyone looking for a skilled, personable, and effective driving instructor. We’re so grateful for the confidence and knowledge he gave our son behind the wheel!

Fantastic experience: My grandson had a great experience learning to drive, and no problem passing the road test for his license because of the fine training with Reeder. We found them to be professional and caring.

Fantastic experience: Started driving here with practically 0 experience and was able to come out of it a good driver and ready for my license in only 4 lessons! Very nice and patient instructors who are eager to get more people ready for the road.

Fantastic experience: My son attended this driving school and it was fantastic! The driving instructor, Dr. Michael Grey, ranks above his peers on every relevant indicator. We could not have asked for a better driver's ed. course or driving instructor. He even helped the parents through this process. We are incredibly thankful.

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend. We used the only the driving hours because our school is behind. They were very informative and very helpful. My kid had only good things to say about it.

Fantastic experience: Three of our children have taken behind the wheel with Reeder’s. Beth has always been friendly and helpful. We are from out of town and they have been very accommodating in working with our schedule each time. We are thankful for the training each of them have received through this program.

Fantastic experience: Comprehensive driving course with knowledgeable instructor. Followed COVID guidelines in classroom and vehicle. Punctual and well-prepared for all classes.

Negative experience: I was a student here, and this place is horrendous. thanks to this place, I can never get back behind the wheel or try to get my license without remembering the yelling, rudeness, anger and panic these people gave me. Sometimes They never gave time to show you what you did wrong, just more yelling and scolding. shout out to the red headed woman instructor especially. I hope you people know you’re mentioned in my therapy and not in a flattering light. Take your lessons somewhere else.

Negative experience: The most rude people you’ll ever meet. I had an older man as my instructor and he uses profanity to me and other drivers in the car. Also during class instructor are extremely rude and up most disrespectful to students

Negative experience: Unbelievably rude and unprofessional horrible place. Beth and her husband think it’s ok to call kids at 6:30 in the morning and scream at them because they are not there yet for thir 7:30 appt. very disrespectful to the students and seem to be in a power struggle.Cody one of the teachers thinks it’s ok to curse at students for a mistake. I think they should be put out of business absolutely horrible and if I could give negative stars I would!!!!

Negative experience: Would not recommend to anyone. Poor customer service.

Negative experience: Showed up to take the remedial driving class and the door was locked and no one picked up the phone. There was a sign on the door that said to just wait on the steps?? waited 30 minutes and still nothing . extremely unprofessional. waste of time !!!!

Negative experience: This was our first experience with a student driver (our oldest child), and the only reason they are getting more than one star is because they erred on the side of caution during a pandemic by only having one masked student + instructor in the vehicle during the required six hours of driving instruction. Otherwise, they are very unprofessional, quite rude, and are extremely disrespectful to both students and parents alike. Will not recommend them to anyone and will never use them again in the future.

Negative experience: If there was a way to have negative stars in order to give a review. I was a pedestrian going against traffic as her and her student were coming straight at me. She instructed her student to stay in lane and about ran me over. After they went by, I turn around and she yells out the window that I should be on the sidewalk. And this is how you teach student drivers???

Negative experience: Very rude to me I do not recommend going here they treated me horrible and wouldn’t even pick up the phone

Fantastic experience: Our daughter is doing her driver's ed class right now and everyone at Reeder has been wonderful. They have been very conscious of keeping the kids safe in the bad weather, they are reliable, patient, and they are good teaches. She enjoys class and has learned a lot from the instructors, both in the classroom and behind the wheel. The behind the wheel instructors are laid back and have given her a lot of confidence in herself and her driving skills. We are very happy we chose Reeder!

Negative experience: No stars The worst of the worst i had three one hour sessions only did the first one and then the owner which is also the driving instructor said he woke up sick and canceled and after that i never Heard from him again the People that are working there sit and let the phone ring very rude after i kept Calling she answered the phone saying what do you want!!! And i got To the place to get it situated and they literally leave the place. Soo SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY Even if you think this is the only driving class in town it’s worth going out of town at least you’ll get the service that’s needed

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Negative experience: I had a horrible experience TRYING to schedule a driving class. I called the place numerous times only to be directed to VM and noone calling me back. I expect Atleast someone to call back and tell me if they dont have slots for classes. Once when i was able to go through the call, the person who answered the call just took my contact number and hung up. I hope they improvise in customer interaction first before even trying to give the classes. I would not even give 1 star but i had to because i cant write this review without it.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience with Beth and Terry. She is very confident behind the wheel, because of the time spent with them. They actually care about the kids, not just teach them.

Negative experience: I had an absolute horrid experience with this terrible business! The owner Beth Reeder is SO rude to anyone that needs to cancel a driving schedule and when going driving the teacher kept grabbing the wheel and shouting at me the entire time, and if I forgot one of the many rules (which should be expected from a learning driver) she'd let me have it, which she should know is dangerous, I could never expect a horrible business like this to actually do well considering how mean and disgusting they are to their customers, and having to pay near 400$ to be shouted at and pressured into things, I DO NOT suggest using this school to teach your children how to drive, after going driving with them I don't feel any safer driving.

Fantastic experience: My son attended when his school could not work their classes into his schedule. We were very pleased and are looking at sending his brother for the driving portion when the school can't accommodate him either.

Negative experience: Update I am so disappointed with this place nobody ever called me back when they said they would and lm a client who could have brought TONS of business since I know a lot of people who would have been interested in this program. I tried to give them a real chance but all they did was waste my time I won't pay them my money .

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Beth and the people at Reeders! From the first day I called them until my childs last drive, they did everything in a timely manner and did it right. I would recommend to anyone!
