Fantastic experience: I have never seen an efficient team like Top Notch Driving School. Jonathan’s intentionality and patience when explaining concepts and simplifying driving as ABC made it easy for me to learn quickly. He also ensured I wasn't nervous or anxious about my road test on our way to the road site. He is a great instructor, and I recommend him if you are in Long Island and Nassau County for your road test. I also passed my road test due to his training. I 100% recommend him!

Fantastic experience: I can’t thank Mr. Blum enough for his patience, guidance, and support in helping me get my driver’s license! I’m a little late with this review, but it’s so well-deserved. From the very start, Mr. Blum impressed me with his knowledge of the road and his personalized approach to teaching. Before I even started lessons, he gave me a diagnostic driving test to see where I stood, and that set the tone for everything that followed. Every lesson was structured and clear—he would break down exactly what we’d be working on, often drawing maps to explain maneuvers step by step. If I didn’t understand something, he didn’t hesitate to hop in the driver’s seat and show me how, as many times as it took. But what truly sets Mr. Blum apart are his pep talks. He’s more than a driving instructor—I’d call him a “driving psychologist.” He knows the road, but more importantly, he understands people. He can sense when you’re feeling unsure or nervous, and his encouragement and advice have stuck with me long after getting my license. If you trust his process and listen to his guidance, he’ll help you overcome any hesitation or fear of driving. Mr. Blum is kind, patient, relatable, and so knowledgeable about everything driving-related. I’m so grateful I had him as my instructor. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your success and will go the extra mile to help you become a confident driver, I can’t recommend Mr. Blum enough!

Fantastic experience: Jonathan is an excellent instructor. He is able to explain thoroughly the important concepts of driving and give very good advice on how to improve on mistakes. His professionalism and driving lessons made me get my license first try on the road test. He is definitely someone I recommend when looking for an instructor.

Fantastic experience: I am extremely grateful towards Jonathan for his patience, kindness, and professionalism. I had taken driving lessons at another driving school but unfortunately I didn't feel as confident in my skills even after paying for those lessons. I ended up failing my road test twice. With only 5 lessons, Jonathan helped me become more comfortable with driving. Driving has always made me anxious and I can't believe I finally passed the road test! Fantastic experience: Johnathan is an amazing instructor and I Highly recommend him! Back In June, my 12th grade son got his permit and was driving my car. He was careless and hit a parked car. I was traumatized and did not have a car for a month! I called many driving schools but did not find them to be personable until I found Johnathan! Johnathan really cares about his clients; he is very patient, honest and very knowledgeable. I needed a driving instructor like Johnathan to help my son build his confidence and to teach my son about all the safety features of a car. Thanks to Johnathan my son passed his road test on the first try!!! He recently bought a car and of course I was a nervous reck!! Johnathan drove with my son in his new car and helped him with all the safety features of his car. He reassured me that my son is a safe and cautious driver. I trust Johnathan’s opinion and he put me at ease! Thank you sooo much for helping me and my son and for an amazing experience!!

I put it off for years and decided to finally attempt lessons not thinking much of it. Jonathan Is extremely patient and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. Once my road test arrived I was extremely nervous but passed on my first try!

It was literally the first time I was behind the wheel of a car. Naturally, I was nervous. Jonathan helped me minimize my anxieties and learn to love driving. His instruction is clear and precise. Whether it’s a turn, lane change, or parallel park, Jonathan teaches you how to do it with specific step-by-step instructions and guidance so you’re capable and comfortable making the necessary maneuvers. With his help, I was able to pass my road test on the first try. Jonathan doesn’t just teach you how to be a good driver; he teaches you how to be a great driver. Jonathan is patient, personable, funny, and accommodating. He genuinely wants his students to succeed. I highly recommend his services.

Fantastic experience: Using Jonathan was definitely the most important decision I’ve made for driving. His instruction was clear and precise, with details on every aspect of the road and the car. He really drilled the mindset of being a safe and aware driver into my mind. Being a funny and personable driving instructor only made the experience more fun rather than daunting. After passing my road test with 0 points off, I’ve found that driving has become a relaxing and easy experience rather than a chore.

Fantastic experience: As someone new to Long Island driving and not having driven for many years, I took 5 lessons with Jonathan. He was patient and attentive throughout. It took me a while to understand some of the terminology he uses such as "middle ground", but I have come to appreciate those. I feel less anxious and more confident now in my driving, and I was able to drive myself to and back from work this week!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Jonathan!! Phenomenal instructor for my daughter - needed only a few lessons to help tie together some loose ends and she passed her road test!! Reasonable prices and very accommodating… Update Review- Although I gave a 5 star review, it is extremely frustrating when you have a simple question which required a yes or no answer about something a driver instructor would definitely know the answer to- apparently Jonathan was quick to respond he was on a phone call over a day ago and still hasn’t given me an answer to something he would certainly know- he seems to respond awfully quick during sessions you sign up for but after that if you have a follow up question he doesn’t get back - no reason I need to chase someone after I paid enough money for his services - reaching out about a follow up question and not hearing back is ridiculous- he asked me to please write a positive review for him which I did- I certainly expect the same courtesy in return- be aware if you need any answers from him after your package is complete you probably won’t hear back from him !!

Fantastic experience: Top Notch Driving school is great to teach you how to drive safely on the roads and great at teaching all the maneuvers needed when driving. At first I didn’t know how to drive at all, and now with the help of Top Notch Driving school I passed my road test and I’m a great driver!
